That and Kitsune where the only good things about that snippet.

Gods this just made me remember how much I hated Keitaro being being such a Retard and choose Naru over the other Girls.

And the worst thing is that compared to some harems nowdays he's a freaking paragon of manliness...

I was under the impression it was going to be a look at what happened after all these years, like a glimpse into what Keitaro and Naru's married life was like, what everybody was up to, etc.

So, yeah, I'm a bit underwhelmed by this. I was expecting a bit more than just a rehash of more of the same.

I can't say too much against it, though. For old times sake, it was at least fun to read. To be honest, I miss Love Hina. I miss that same-old, slapstick comedy that I fell in love with so many years back. Whether it was Keitaro with his usual comically bad luck, Naru with her Naru Punch, or Shinobu being her usual cute self, I miss this sort of Love Hina. It's something that just doesn't get replicated by fanfiction, and while I appreciate the efforts of a community for seeking to write good stories, they just doesn't have that feeling I associate Love Hina with.

And for that, I still liked this. It's like seeing an old friend again - a lot of time has passed, but damn it, it's just like old times and I wouldn't have it any other way.

Now if you'll excuse me, I'll be listening to Sakura Saku and reminiscing about Love Hina the rest of the night.

EDIT:

...what the hell is wrong with me?

I listen to just the first few seconds and now I suddenly feel this old, warm feeling. It's something I don't get nowadays from anything else.

Why do I have the feeling I'm going to marathon the Love Hina anime tomorrow?

I liked it. It was nice to see good ol' Shinobu and her misunderstandings.

I'm pretty sure that's an older bonus thing, actually. I don't think the new one-shot is out yet.

>Kaolla is Rakshata

WHY DOES THIS MAKE SENSE

I'm going to reiterate this, a decade more of drawing experience was very kind to motoko. she had a strong look, but was dead sexy.

Kitsune was in top form as well.

I shudder to think of how Mutsumi would look if he drew her today.

Having read the oneshot posted at the mediafire link above... jee, it would have been nice if somebody on the cast had actually learned anything new in the past ten years.

That having been said, Motoko and Kitsune were indeed ridiculously hot, and Keitaro is still an idiot for having chosen the worst-tempered and ugliest one of the bunch. :)

Uh? This story is set in the early manga(the 1999 date is a giveaway).

At least I didn't get to see Seta Lite here, that's a minor comfort, even though Naru took that accidental kiss as a complete no-no due to Keitaro not turning into Seta yet and dulling her knee-jerk reaction to hit the guy.

It's not just you. Jesus, you'd think that if you were given the chance to revisit an old work, you'd try to show the future after your conclusion, not just rehash a joke that can be found just about anywhere.

Misunderstanding

PERVERT!

Naru punches Keitaro

Motoko uses her sword.

What a letdown.

Maybe he's trying to tell his audience that Love Hina is over and he's never going back.

It's a long shot, but I'm hoping for this conversation.

lolfactor? y/n? said:
Keitaro: Actually, I have a confession, Naru.

Naru: Yes?

Keitaro: I'm already married.

Naru: HUH?!

Keitaro: You've met her.

Tsuruko: Hello.
It has potential to be the greatest Rickroll in Manga history.

#42
That didn't happen, fortunately.

Well, I'm hoping for the whole manga ending as "It was just a dream" for Fanfiction's sake, admittedly.

I just can't get by the 'First Girl Wins' thing.

Never could. Ever.

It doesn't matter. Love Hina was a case of too much, too long.

I can handle 'First Girl Wins', but only if there's an actual reason the protagonist picked her.

There was. Keitaro decided he liked her best. Hell, at one point he was even willing to give up on the whole promise thing after Naru told him it was impossible that she was the girl he remembered.

You see, I don't mind 'first girl get' as a concept (although usually first girl get is the one I least like), it's just that the way Love Hina handled it, it felt like Naru was 'forced' on Keitaro.

Yes, Keitaro chose Naru. Yes, if he REALLY wanted to, he could have chosen someone else, etc. My problem isn't so much that it was Keitaro/Naru (well no, I dislike Naru and it's why I don't like it. BUT I would have at least accepted it if...) again, the way it was handled. It felt like it was destined with not only the other girls not even really trying (except a few times) but also because it felt like it was forced 'destined.' Oh look, Keitaro always lands where Naru is. Keitaro and Naru always seemed to bump into each other as if some greater being is trying to tell them something! Naru left, and Keitaro goes to a place that, what a coincidence, Naru was there. Stuff like this (and not just Love Hina mind you, many so-called harem mangas/anime in general do this) is why I'm turned off with Keitaro/Naru and, again, while I don't have a problem with the concept of 'first girl get,' because the girl is usually a girl I don't like, I'm turned off with it when it's practiced.

I'm just quoting SimmyC because he's my favourite author.

Ever.

Ever.
