Actually, I'm working on exactly such a fic.
The gist of it is that Keitaro's father was actually Leopold Goenitz of the Divine Wind - when Keitaro's mom had a tryst with him he knocked her up (although since he's dead already, no one will ever know if it was intentional or not).
Keitaro generally grew up normally, until an unpleasant day when, while out with his mom and Kanako, he went postal on a group of men that were harassing the women and accidentally cut Kanako up pretty bad in the process.
Keitaro doesn't remember what happened, he just remember 'waking up' bloodied, with Kanako holding on to him despite her own wound, and his mom staring at him with a mix of horror, concern and understanding.
Following that, the Urashima family (not clan - unlike most other fics, I have them be too small to even be a clan, let alone have a martial art their own) contacts the Kusanagi clan, with whom they had relations in the past.
There, everything comes together: Keitaro's nature as a half-Orochi and the reasonb why he snapped - while there's no more Orochi around, Oroochi-blooded individuals till react with extreme violence if they feel they are threatened in any way.
Unfortunately, there's not much the Kusanagi elder Saisyu can do besides teach Keitaro meditation. The Yagami probably know more, but they'd refuse to help simply because Keitaro asked a Kusanagi first.
Cue years later, when Keitaro's still trying for Tokyo U, despite having mostly failing grades because he's still too nervous around people to relax and concentrate. Coming to Hinatasou in hopes of relaxing, he instead crosses Naru in the bath... kekeke.
Anyway, this idea is one I'm still ironing out. Feel free to suggest changes. After all, until I'm done with my other ideas, it'll go nowhere...
Or Raizen himself, having grown bored of living in the Makai.
