So I was chatting with FH_Meta on AIM; and I got it in my mind to make an alternate lineup for SEES... using characters from anime, manga and even other games.

The only untouchable character is Minato. Everyone else can and should be replaced. Outrageous choices are allowed, though it'd be best/preferred if you keep it to student characters.

They all fit so well... but at the same time so wrongly.

Mai for Yukari isn't that big of a switch. Ayaka isn't that different from Mitsuru, except for one-little-thing. Adding in Jun was the next (il)logical step, and he keeps the shota quota. Akihiko, Adell... battle maniacs. Osaru-kun, most of you probably don't know. He matches Junpei pretty well though, except Osaru is a lot weirder. Aigis to Saki-chan. You go from an emotionless robot to an over-emotional one. That's also Bi.

River for Fuuka is a pretty (un)even match as well. Ghaleon for Ikutsuki just fits. 'Cept I think Ghaleon would be thinking he had a way to backstab Nyx and take power for himself. Whether he had something or not could be very interesting to pursue.


I'm still lulzing over the meeting of Ayaka and Jun.

Hey, combine this with the New Game + idea for epic lulz as Minato wonders who stuck him with the crazies this time.

So I was thinking more about the members of the SEES Brigade and their combat styles.

Haruhi: Bow. Partly because I like the image, partly because never fumbling suits her, and partly because it seems to be very very effective in the game.

Yuki: Support until partway through. In combat, she punches things until they fall down. Which usually doesn't take very long. Again, because I like the image.

Mikuru: Replaces Yuki as support. (Basically, she's in Fuuka's position. And as a side note, I like Fuuka and her voice. >.>)

Ryoko Asakura: Dual knives, obviously. The astute observer will have observed that I like scenarios where Ryoko gets to stick around.

Tsuruya: Laughs at the enemy until they keel over. Okay, not really. `.` But I'm not sure what.

Itsuki: Broadsword

Kyon: Not-so-broad sword. (Whatever it is that the main character in P3 starts with. But Haruhi's still the main character. `.` )

...And that's where I pretty much ran out of ideas. `.` As well as not being sure what weapons show up later in P3. Or who I'd assign them to. `.`

Akihiko Sanada -- Yuusuke Urameshi, Yu Yu Hakusho. Both use their fists and energy attacks. As long as Yuusuke doesn't go Majin, the comparison is a fair one.
Junpei Iori -- Gintoki, Gintama. I can see him riding his scooter in Tartatus, screaming about his sugar being gone. :snigger:
Aigis -- Alita, Battle Angel Alita. Freakishly appropriate, now that I think on it.
Ken Amada -- Zatch Bell, Konjiki no Gatch Bell. They both use lightning and light, and seem to enjoy combat.
Fuuka Yamagishi -- Anesaki Mamori, Eyeshield 21. Because she's a good character, she's in a support role in her original series, and she'd fit well with the original P3 cast. Not that she will with the nutjobs in this version of SEES. B)
Koromaru -- Blair, Soul Eater. Because cats are awesome, and if she imprints on Minato the same way she did Soul...well, let's say that Triangle Spread will look like a pinic if his girlfriend(s) find out.
Shinjiro Aragaki -- Bobobo, Bobobo-Bo bo-bobo. Just because.
Shuji Ikutsuki -- Ryotsu, Kochikame. Because he would, that rat bastard.
