So, I'm sure that with the hundreds of people around here, there's bound to be an intelligent idea or two about the entire franchise.

You may talk about every single game, even Mega Man 8, Legends, or that Battle Network version for cellphones. As long as the idea focuses on Mega Man characters of some sort, it applies.

Start discussing it.

Hands down, my favorite video game character of all time. To me his GAR is infinite. I wish Capcom would finally make a third fuckin' Legends.

Hey! Command Mission wasn't that bad... Though I would prefer a third Legends (even if I never got to play L2) over almost anything.


Honestly, one other thing they really need to do is resolve the story arcs they have hanging at the moment. The Classic, X, ZX (so far as I know), Legends, and Star Force arcs are still hanging without resolution, or even an explanation as to how they will bridge over into one another.


And I really want to know what Protoman is going to do about that issue with his power core that was mentioned, or if he's ever going to get that resolved...

Hey, there's a start. Powered Up Protoman suffering the equivalent of a heart tumor and having to figure out a way to cure himself, with the only alternative being killing Robot Masters and ransacking their bodies for parts. Sadly, none of them are likely to work on him due to the way he ends up blowing them up.

That's an idea, at least. Anything else?

Well, I had a couple ideas to go with an NGE crossover, one where Mega, Proto, Roll, and Bass were hiding out in Tokyo 3 when Sachiel shows up because second impact had been attributed to certain robots going insane and setting off a nuke in the arctic. The world government sending out a massive deactivation order that included them. So they were hiding out as children/ young adults and moved around every few years before it became obvious they weren't aging.

The second one had Wily activating Zero early with his weapons retooled for angel combat as best he could. So that Zero could help save the world, and let Wily conquer it later.

Okay, fine, they were created by the same guys. Theoretically every single Reploid is based on X's blueprints, thus they're all to some degree based on him, therefore making them all related.

Pshh.

Next you'll say Splash Woman doesn't count because Dr. Light created her. That is illogical and kinda idiotic too.

Really, the ideas some people have...

I really just wish they would make a decent anime based of of Mega Man X series. I've read over the wiki, combined with some of the cut scenes from X4+, I think there could be really good story to it.

What do you guys think?

MMX series has the most 'mature' plot in any megaman game I've played(Which includes originals, X's, legends, and ZX's. I refuse to count the BS that is BN.)

I mean mavericks are actively trying to kill humanity. Not take over the world or blow it up. Just kill every human. Plus the plot really get's deep, after a while.some of the best MM fanfiction I've ever read is set in X. Assuming they didn't bungle it, it would be an magnificent thing.

Also, Zero is awesome.

Genoscythe is one of the few Megaman FF writers I can tolerate, the rest run fangirl Yaoi fap sessions.

Too bad he hasn't updated said fic in over two years.
