New Section.

There has recently been an explosion of Digimon content.

More then .hack had when it got it's own section.

I'm putting this up so that in a year or three when Hawk randomly stops by again he can see it and I don't have to remember all this to tell him myself or in case I'm not on then, as I have the free time at the moment.

I'll second that, and add a request for an MGLN section (it should have had one ages ago), and perhaps a Zero no Tsukaima section (since Gabriel Blessing appears to have sparked an out of control fire in people's minds....)

Do we really need more sections that only about four people will use? TFF already has a bunch of sections that have close to nothing in them despite the forum being open for over five years. I'd actually suggest deleting a few sections, not adding more. If people have specific story ideas or previews they can create topics for them in the unspecified Anime/Books/Movies/etc. sections.

Anyway this is moot until Hawk comes back... if he ever does.

That's mostly due to those fandoms being dead and/or ancient even when TFF itself was created.

If anything, the Fate/Stay Night Subforum should be renamed the Nasuverse and/or type-moon subforum, so that fics for all of those fandoms can rightly go there. <<

I'll ponder it a bit, trying to supress my natural reaction to deposit the contents of my stomach onto my keyboard whenever comming into contact with anything Digimon-related.

I already think the first page of the forum is pretty cluttered with sectiions as it is. Some will be removed for sure, if a fandom hasn't generated more then 250 topics since TFF was spawned into existance by the perverted denizens of the netherworld, it doesn't deserve a section of it's own.

I could make umbrella sections I guess, but just as I don't like to have too much stuff on the front page, I'm not too fond of the notion of having to click my way through myriads of folders to get to where I want either.

Since you are actively considering and changing/deleting/adding topics...

What about the long standing request to have the Fate/Stay night section renamed to Type Moon?

Could you be persuaded to go by post-count in that matter? The Negima subforum for instance hasn't hit 250 threads - but has over 10000 posts. Would be a shame to merge all that into the generic Anime/Manga discussion forum.

It will probably wind up being some sort of combination between posts, topics, activity, personal bias for/against the fandom in question along with how well my mind operates with the current blood count in my alcohol system at that particular time. :)

I say toss it.

Hey, Hawk, thanks for stamping out Troll Squad. I was seriously going homicidal using Search and seeing 50 identical topics made by him.

He(Troll_Squad) still has a ton of crap threads over in Naruto talk section. He'll probably come back under a new name, too.

Well, as long as it's a different IP, it's certainly possible. :/ Need some kinda finger-print identification for all computers, so it's possible to fingerprint-ban people no matter which computer they use to access the internet. :p

That idea smells too much of Big Brother for my tastes. I don't want anyone nosing into my PC in any way without permission, thanks a lot. It's a matter of principle.

Aw, he's gone? But I wanted to ban him!

Edit: While I don't like the idea of deleting content or shuffling it around too much, what about consolidation? Make a new "Akamatsuverse" section, for example, and make the Love Hina and Negima sections part of it? Ditto for FSN becoming part of a Type-Moon section. Makes the most sense.

I'd also suggest adding a Star Wars section.

As it is the series is a little to spread out over sections depending upon which place the start point is in. Movies, games, comics, TV, and a few more...

I agree.. It can be a major chore to find a specific fic..

Well, if we're trying to make TFF live as long as possible, would it be worthwhile to prune the memberlist? People who haven't logged on in over two years could probably go, same with people who haven't come on since they joined.

Then you could start deleting threads. The really long ones to start, then ones from people who've forgotten that full stories don't belong on TFF (which isn't an archive but a workshop recall). After that... hm.

Anyway, just throwing this out there.

It might work to just add a general scifi/fantasy section
