Now, onto other stuff-
-your idea should really be in the Miscellaneous Ideas topic since it is not actually a fleshed idea and more of a situation that you want to see written.
-this section of TFF sees lower traffic than others, so again, Miscellaneous Ideas topic is your best bet to actually get an idea fleshed out before gaining its own thread.
-also, I feel better knowing that there are still people that like the oldies more than the typical shounen crap that's all the rage nowadays. I'll be the first to admit that no series is without some redeeming quality, but still thank you for showing an interest in some quality anime.

How did Shinji get there; for one. And, why are you crossing three different universes together with no concept of a backstory to them?
The idea holds absolutely no merit without a general structure on the why. Just because it looks cool won't get you anywhere in terms of writing if that's all you have.

Air Gear is the series, where Air Trecks are super-rollerbladews. So, he's saying the equivalent of meeting somethingmon and entering the world of digimon.
On the other hand, Air Gear is all about how Air Trecks (ATs) can give you freedom. That and a shot at superpowers (all based on pseudo science), which all the characters from the higher power tiers use.
Air Gear simply by existing in the same world as Evangelion makes some very interesting possibilities to make the plot. It doesn't change the fact that it was a 1 sentence idea.
