Kasumi is overrated.
Believe it or not the plan was a combination of Kuno and Konatsu helping Ranma through the tougher times, with Nabiki feeling she own him some sort of penance as well.... half of it for not killing her
The story would have gotten somewhat darker as Ranma began to punish himself mentally and physically in a downward cycle of depression.
The gang stages an intervention, which goes very badly with the addition of Soun, whom Ranma is about ready to beat the daylights out of when Kuno intervenes with his own idiocy. All Ranma's anger and then some is redirected soley on him and he pulls no punched, beating him within literal inches of his life. Kuno is off to the hospital and Ranma realizes she just nearly killed somebody and can admit she needs help.
As a side bonus, the violence finally blew away Kuno's delusions enough to realize what has been happening. the pair go through a mutual recovery over time becoming friends. Ukyo realizes she's too close to the problem and dispatches Konatsu to watch over Ranma, who ironically turn to one another for support when it comes to their gender issues. Nabiki also helps, getting Ranma's life and finances on the right track, eventially rolling into the 'present' timeline. That's the high level version with a lot of detail scraped out.
A note on the poll, there's not even a guarantee I'll even touch the fics regardless of the results, just like the update notes say. Got a kid on the way and time will be at a premium. And I sure as heck didn't reorganize everything just so I could throw an 'I love me' poll up. Wanted to make it easier for peeps to find the active stuff, thus the shuffle. Personally I was not even expecting Saffronification in the top 10.
Oh, and Hild is seeing concentrated fire because it's kind of the closest to being done. three chapters at a minimum; probably closer to four or five. My estimates have been known to wildly underestimate the plot I have in mind, however. Regardless, Foxcat and Causality are probably next in cue. And just to keep the hate alive, a new Ranma/Shampoo and/or Ranma/Nanoha/Fate that may or may not escape the crapspace event horizon.
