Note1: 'Bad Hair Days' is not new, but something I came across only this last week. I do not read IY stories much, but this was a change of pace and a interesting read.
Note2: 'Cracked Horse' was intended as a almost omake or odd comic parody showcasing the other stories by that author. But while technically complete, the author has not set the complete flag, and a inquiry by myself to him he revealed he was not sure at this point if there would not be more chapters or not.
Note3: 'Task Force 43 Rebirth' is technically not newly updated, but it is newly read by me. It is the 2014 partially completed rewrite of Task force 43. I broke down and decided to read it because I was curious as to how it was rewritten. Good stuff overall, I particularly liked the Princess and Londo. I do desperately hope that author decides to continue it and does not scrap it again. I would have liked a complete ship manifest like the prior version. I actually liked in some ways the prior 2012 version more. In either version I would have done a few of the ship decisions a bit differently but that is merely an opinion. Like:
- Using the Crusader class (301m) (ASDB - Star Fleet Prototype) to replace Intrepid / Steamrunner / Nova and as the size gap between Defiant and Akira.
- Using the Frontier class (457m) (ASDB - Star Fleet Prototype) as the crusier clas size gap between Crusader and Sovereign .
- Using the Gabrielle class (761m) (ussmatrix.org) or expand out the Archangel class a couple more units for more carriers.
- On the fleet end taking into account the above you end up with Defiant(120m) / Crusader(301m) / Akira(455m) / Frontier(457m) / Nebula(442m) / Sovereign(672m) / Gabrielle(761m) / Valkirie(1123m) and scrap all other ships like Nova / Galaxy / Steamrunner / Intrepid / Miranda / Excelsior
- On the small craft end scrap all except Type 11 shuttle(16m) / Colorado Runabout(21m) (SciFi-Meshes.com) / Peregrine(14m)
- On the 4 base defenses, add upgraded Ju'Day(68m)(ColdNorth). These would be assigned only for either base defense or short runs. Perhaps the similar but smaller Ma'jel(24m) instead.
Oh well...

There was a question on the new FanFiction Forum the other day on FanFiction.NET having issues with removing chapters or reverting stories. I ran as a test all stories I followed over the last year through it, and while I did not really see much evidence of the original issue, I *DID* discover some chapters and stories had minor edits by the authors since my last download of those stories. I figured I would add that already reported information to this update so others are aware of what I found in case they also follow those stories. I suspect that the writer of Tug of War is more inclined for his stories to heavily feature Naru/Keitaro. Since neither of us particularly like Naru, I think it's just inevitable that the turns in the story will drive us away from it.

Well... that is a possibility, what I found most annoying about this is Kitsune and Naru have been hammering out a joint relationship with him for some 20 of the 24 chapters so far (not counting the subway adventures and the chapters focused on Motoko), and suddenly over the course of 1/2 a chapter Kitsune is suddenly going with another guy and not even bothering to let the other two know... characterization wise it just falls apart.

I do hope that May/December does not go that way as well, the only other one of that author I've read, but the last chapter on that is also not overly promising.

Yeah, that latest turn kinda reeks of trying to wrap things up and pairing spares. I think we've both been reading enough stories to have a grasp or instinct on when certain plot twists happen and generally what they mean.
