PCHeintz72's Filtered Partial List Update-03/16/13

The following have had updates or are new to me that I've read in the last 7 days since I last ran the Lister program, though some of these updates may not be in the main story links provided, but on the forums the authors use for previews.

The following have gone at least one year since I last downloaded them with no update. As such, their status has switched from 'Not Complete' to 'Inactive'.

The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzimiya
Sailor Moon
Babylon 5
Full Metal Panic
Oh My Goddess
Black Lagoon
El Hazard
Fate Stay Night
...

I've tried getting into several new series over the years. Most attempts failed for a variety of reasons... here are some examples (a full list is too exhaustive)...

- For some almost no fan fiction exists for. Like: Ai Yori Aoshi, Birdy the Mighty, Corpse Princess, Crest of the Stars, Garden of Sinners, Isekai no Seikishi Monogatari, Martian Successor Nadesico, Tenchi GXP, Tsukihime, UFO Princess, Valkyrie Chronicles

- For some my favorite stories for them are stalled. Like: Index, Railgun

- For some the types of stories I like are not really being written currently. Like: The Melonchoy of Haruhi Suzimiya

- For some I gave up on having anything I like in them as my view of the series is too unique. Like: Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha

- For some the fans are fanatics and I avoid the forums for talk, and the stories for content. Like: Fate Stay Night

- For some popular ones, I cannot stand reading. Like: Fate Zero, Harry Potter, Naruto, TTGL

- For some I liked series but dislike the fact most stories I've seen for it have romance. Like: Negima (I draw the line at 10 year olds in full romances)

- For some I like crossovers using them but not non-crossovers. Like: Mass Effect, Zero No Tsukaima

- For some they were popular for a while, but have mostly died out, like Full Metal Panic.

And that is why I keep returning to my mainstays... These days that is Ranma/Love Hina/NGE... All are older, more established, and dying/near dead fandoms...

SPECIAL NOTE 1: As an interesting side note, a computer reset (no data lost), done last weekend to both my notebooks oddly allowed two links to start working that I did not know were even broke until now. Not too sure if that is due to having run my favorites through a cleanup mode of my program, or the upgrade to IE 10 I did when I did the rest.

Depending for how long they had been broke I may have missed out on reporting of status on:
- 'Eva Sessions Ten Year Whole' by Gob Hobblin which has been complete for a bit now
- 'The Last Grandmaster' by Genhoss which has been inactive for a bit now.

SPECIAL NOTE 2: As a odd note, the newest version of Avast has labeled my Lister Program as a possible malware and was uncertain whether to block access or not. It does do several things behind the backs of the native programs, like accessing IE favorites, and scanning through directories, not sure which aspect caused it to be flagged... but it had never been flagged by AVG or Avast previously.

SPECIAL NOTE: There are 2 fan fiction stories I'm reading that are not in the lists above, even just by name, here is why:
- The 1st I just started, seems interesting enough and is well written, is Ranma 1/2 based, content wise I have not quite decided if it falls into Graphic or not. Currently only in a preview forum on one of the sites I check from time to time. It may well appear within the next couple weeks, until I decide, it will not.
- The 2nd started 2 weeks ago, it also seems interesting and decently written. I know exactly where this one falls content wise. BUT I refuse to track it or even download it in any way, shape, or form due to the fact while the contents do not bother me, the attitude of the author does. Unless I see it improve, it shall stay off the list. This author has managed to raise my ire by the attitude taken toward commenter's in general (note, not just toward me) in such a way as only a couple in the entire history of my reading fan fiction have managed. And no... I will not answer the obvious question of who. The author may not be getting banned for actions in the forum they are at, but author can consider themselves tempbanned from my list at least. Consider this a minor rant on my part to vent.

SPECIAL NOTE 1: For those asking on it, all my 82+ favorites links that were pointing to the old version of The Fanfiction Forum (old TFF), have been redone to point to the equivalent thread on the new version of the site (new TFF). The delay was due not only to my own very busy real life schedule, but to the fact I was waiting to have that forum stabilize a bit and have the administrators and moderator elections over.

SPECIAL NOTE 2: The month of May is upcoming once again. As I did in the last couple years to avoid annoyances on two particular forums it is my intention to avoid posting during that entire month to the forums of The Fanfiction Forum (new TFF) and Temple of Ranma's Sailor Senshi Seifuku (Fukufics). I will continue posting during the month to all other sites I post to and in June will issue backdated updates for the two left out. I will time permitting post a mini update Tuesday night April 30th before midnight.
