About so-called "mpreg" fics...
...I do not have the appropriate emoticon to express the vomitous disgust I have at the concept.
Barring shapeshifting ability, MEN DO NOT HAVE WOMBS. Thus, they cannot carry children. END OF STORY.
If I hear anyone try to argue the possibilities for "mpreg" beyond that, I will be carted off to jail for murder. Specifically, murder by cramming a full, annotated, and illustrated copy of Grey's Anatomy into their heads through the ear canal, while laughing sadistically.

Ummm... did you mean the concept, or the fact I checked? I was just following up on Israfel's comment. I myself as a general rule normally I will not read such stories. But I love trivia and playing with numbers.
Could be worse, I did not even bother on a search for yaoi. now that would have had far, far more hits than i wanted to deal with.
Of course, as has been pointed out, not all are properly labeled, or have such labeling in the story.
Though someone in a situation like Ranma for example creates a grey areas. Even then, I would far and away prefer he be female for pregnancy stories, like in 'Chaotic Rebirth' by Trugeta, which I consider good.

If you ever want to try it, check out Gigabomb. He actually makes it work. Granted it's Naruto and Sasuke. And technically its Kakshi's kid, who's dating Gai. But there's no sex involved. Plus, he makes it work by parodying the genre. He does that by taking the story perfectly seriously. If it was anyone but Gigabomb it probably wouldn't work.

Personally the idea that Ranma would willingly get pregnant is so unfeasible that the only way he's getting knocked up is via rape. And that is not something that I want to read about.

Heh, wow, it seems that my one comment has given some new life to this thread, well, anyway, I believe I have found the source of all MPREG, in the most unlikely of suspects...yup, you guessed it, Bill Cosby. How can this be!?! you ask? Well, in the seventies and eighties (and maybe the nineties, I forget) ol' Bill ran a show called 'The Cosby Show' and in one episode his wife makes some remark to him about how men are lucky they never have to go through pregnancy, Bill then proceeds to take a nap and have a nightmare about a world where him and all the other adult male main!chars of the show are somehow pregnant, and having to deal with it, it takes it right up to the scene in the delivery room where Bill gives birth to an extremely long sub sandwhich and a miniature toy sailboat, for whatever reason, at which he wakes up. This is the earliest suggestion of MPREG that I've come across, thus I believe it to be The Source!
Traps are hot in general. MPREG is just an abomination.

-Notes in the middle of the chapter. Don't do it. It's bad form and disrupts the flow of the story.
-Bad grammar. And I mean BAD. I don't care how novel a fic idea is, if it gives me migraines reading it, I'll burn your ass.

On the Trap line, In Fable: The Lost Chapters in the brothel area you can dress like a girl and make a really stupid guy think you're a girl and continually charge him 1000 dollars for sex.
MPreg is the most horrible thing I could think of, Ranma's girl form and the main character from Cheeky Angel are a grey area, but are still a form of MPreg even if their bodies aren't male.

Granted, Ranma and Megumi are males in terms of mindset, but their bodies are not, and that's the most important thing to consider with MPreg (i.e., THE MALE BODY DOES NOT HAVE A WOMB = CANNOT BECOME PREGNANT). Both Megumi and Ranma HAVE female bodies, and thus it is all too likely that they could become pregnant. Not that I'd find it likely that they'd be WILLING to become as such, but it would still actually be physically possible.
Goes to show that having an active imagination isn't always a good thing. While I don't mind yaoi, 'mpreg' strains my common sense.
Also, while I'm in this thread, I might as well rant about MY overly corrective-ness, about something that shows up even in this topic.
