If you don't mind and have the changes for it, try combining in the characters that were originally labeled as being Drift compatible. You know, like Annie and Bugman. See if that does anything. McMasters said awhile back that Drift Racing itself would likely never be in the game, as it was a beta for the Arena that never really went anywhere, but seeing how he seems to have mixed the Drift content in together with this expansion, they might actually team up for something.

I'm thinking it might be better to regular mission them over the course of a few days, smoke bomb up the missions and then sight beyond sight them, giving (at least) 2 dark water and 4 monochrome flowers a day. Then if you still need more monochrome pheromones after you get 5 dark draft, you could buy using arena rep or wait for a rare forest day and trail mix up some, or go ahead and megamission up some.
