Tex: Pauses and signals the others to be quiet and listen and look around, 'Just in Case'. (We were making noises.)

What? No, this can't be! I'm not GOD anymore! NOOO!

Now, back to the story

-------------------------------

The door leads to a large room filled with large cardboard boxes placed in neat rows, it's a storage room for the shop's merchandise. Straight ahead there is another, larger door.

quick look at box labels for anything immediately useful: tools, batteries, etc. though i remark that it's odd that "rioters" hadn't touch the items in the back room.

This room looks completly untouched, there isn't a single sign of destruction like in the storefront. Every crate and box is marked only by a number, no other visual markings is visible.

take my combat knife and quietly make a small hole in each "Set" of boxes, checking each one for useful items, motion for the others to shut the door but to also keep an eye on each door while i do this.

edit: listen to Tex and go to desk instead, search.

Tex: Nods and does so, keeping a eye on the door to the front, a pause. (What type is it? A Swing Door that has a Closing/ Security Bar?)

You spot a clipboard lying on one of boxes, it seems to be the merchandise and storage index.

Radios, stereos, speakers, TV's, Computers, CD-players... but there doesn't seem to be any batteries.

examine clipboard. look for anything useful, but first a quick runthrough for Night-Vision Goggles.

edit: look for a High-Quality Laptop, Passwords, etc., also check for useful attachments like WiFi Internet.

The closest you come to night-vision goggles is a digital camera with low-light recording ability, but it wouldn't be of any use in this kind of darkness.

Tex: Looks around if there are any loaded 6 wheelers to bring merchandice out to the front, if so, slide it so it blocks the door from swinging inwards easily, in addition to securing it?

Grab Camera, might need that kind of recording type later.

Tex: Thinks, "Try and find some motion sensors, the type to make noise, and batteries for them, if we set some up, they could warn us possibly."

There isn't any 6 wheelers, loaded or otherwise, but the door can be easily closed of by a heavy metal bolt. Everything in the store is basic civilian electronics, and the cargo index doesn't show any motion sensors.

It doesn't take you long to find a laptop, but seeing as its directly out of the box the battery is empty, and without power you see no way to charge it.

Tex: Looks through the window? before sliding the bolt through, then if there are any other ways in or out of here. (It would be bad if we only watched the front and back, and any emergency side doors were unsecured.)

There are two ways into the room, the first one leads into the store and a second larger one that you have no idea where it leads.

remove it from the box, and grab the parts requested. grab a spare as well with an additional charger (this one is just laptop and charger).

(how long would it take to Jury-rig some motion sensors from this place?)

edit: grab some secondary parts as well (cellphones and any actual parts that my character feels he might need for hacking, bomb building, etc.)

Tex: Looks around again, to the floors where the boxes were, if they were on wooden pallets, and if there were pallet jacks around, and if the door was big enough for a forklift.

The door is indeed large enough for a forklift, and the faded tire tracks on the floor makes it more then likely that thats the way the cargo is transported.

The store simply doesn't have the hardware to jurry-rig something like that, and even if it did it would take hourse to do so.

"that's about it unless you can think of something?" *last thought they should have some absolutely basic boot-software (pretty much just DOS) grab that and i'm done*

edit: tell us if it gets too large for easy movement so we can trim it down a bit,

so our current list of stuff is:
1 Rotor Blade (2 ft. long, half warped)
Crowbar
Hammer, 12 different screwdrivers, electric drill, couple of different pliers, a box of nails and screws, some spare batteries, and four rolls of duct-tape.
hose, a fire-axe (1d8-20x3), a first aid kit (10), and a fire proof blanket.
more batteries
various electronic parts (storing these carefully)
digital camera with low-light recording ability
remove it from the box, and grab the parts requested. grab a spare as well with an additional charger (this one is just laptop and charger).
DOS Boot Software

Tex: Ponders. "If a forklift can get in here, it may have a more direct route/ ramp to the outside, 20 to 30 stories tall may let a angled slope perhaps, if you cannot find what you need, there may be a security/ alarm shop someplace where we can find it, lets get going? It may be the top floor, but someone may investigate eventually.. if there is a Mall Security station located back there, it will have a Mall map."

The door opens with a hiss of displaced air. Your flashlights sweep the floor, walls and ceiling of the long concrete corridor. The temprature is lower here, but not enough to actually be uncomfortable. You spot a large door similar to the one you stepped through a few seconds ago. The flashlights doesn't illuminate the full lenght of the corridor.

Shout27: I would probably drop the rotor-blades if I were you. Solid metal, ten feet long when count them all, that's bound to be heavy.
