I also want to recommend some Kaijo's stories.

Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha Crisis The alternative continuation of StrikerS, where we would meet mass of old (but now pretty important) cast, magical mechas, world-threatening situation and some fluffy Yuuno/Nanoha/Fate moments.

Red Jewel Diaries The set of short funny and serious stories, chronologically following Crysis. The wedding in the end is pretty hilarious. :D

Magical Lyrical GSquad Much more serious follower of RJ diaries. Diplomatic envoy from TSAB, consisted from magical mechas come to Earth to find that some natives NOT happy to see guests from another dimension and more than prepared to use lethal force and WMD to drove them out.

MGLN: Through a Mirror, Darkly Also continuation of RJ Diaries, and also pretty serious. Occurred in TSAB controlled space where bunch of shady fellows very determinate to turn TSAB upside down, no matter the cost.

Fate/Night Sky was really by HeroSlayer from what I remember. Also, the fic is dead.
Nope.jpg. Fate/Night Sky (The one with the "Damn it Avalon!" meme) is fraggle's product, while Mahou Senki Lyrical Days is Heroslayer's work. However, Heroslayer and fraggle cooperated for a MSLD rewrite, while F/NS is on the back burner for now.

I recommend Due, where Nanya destroys any hate you can have of the second Number, one chapter at a time.

I liked Life after Hayate, by the same guy who did In Service. It starts with Hayate getting killed by the drone in the same incident that would have crippled Nanoha in the time skip between A's and Strikers, however in her last moments she then chooses the new master for the Book of the Night Sky, a seventeen year old Chrono. Now the young man must deal with the book that killed his father, the mourning knight programs, his family, investigating Hayate's murder and the conspiracy that appears to involve all the TSAB and worst of all, being seventeen.

I also liked Code Magi Lyrical Rider, it was an interesting fix fic for Madoka and the Movie Wars extra was an epic experience; I would recommend it for the good action and plot it had.

I couldn't stand that fic. Why CHRONO of all people?

Atonement for Clyde's death. Beside, better him than some other people.

The author already responder to that in story:

The Wolkenritter are Hayate's children. Because she likes someone doesn't mean she thinks they're the right person to take care of her children; nor would she want to place the burden on someone whom it would weigh too heavily on.

Nanoha and Fate are currently twelve, have troublesome personality traits (Fate's difficulties with affection, Nanoha's aggressiveness), and adding five more wheels to the Nanoha/Fate relationship isn't doing them any favors. Arisa and Suzuka are not mages and removing the Wolkenritter from a mage environment and the ability to practice their greatest skills isn't just a waste, it's a hardship: fighting for the Bureau helps them feel they're atoning for previous crimes in a way life on Earth won't. Most of the other cast members by StrikerS (chronologically we haven't even reached the epilogue for A's) aren't even known to Hayate yet. Yuuno has a large and difficult and non-combat job (see comment on Arisa and Suzuka) that consumes most of his time and attention.

So we're really down to just Chrono: combat mage, hypercompetent, strong sense of duty, older, proven responsible, and with his relationship with his adopted sister Fate, proven able to take in and treat as family people from outside his life even if he once fought them. Which is really the killer qualification; nobody else has shown quite that much maturity and forgiveness yet.
I find that I agree with him, and it makes for an interesting story, plus I like how Zafira became Chrono's right hand man, it was something I did not expect.

Training Wheels & What Could Have Been by deathcurse are pretty good friendship/shipping fics between Yuuno and Hayate. Although given Yuuno issues in Training Wheels...
Poor poor Yuuno...

I remembered that a group of people made snippets on how Chrono, Vice, Zafira made Yuuno get drunk and put him in bed with other girls. I ended up basing Kyrie using the beach picture and her official faces (seductive, flirt, seductive... And ended up with.... I'll just ask you to rewrite it Kireen, I made her too much like Panty in PSG minus everything but the likes xD).

Not gonna work, people will either force him to join the army or the knights would die of boredom.

Yes, a group of people... It was just you, me, Andarion and ZeroXSEED and I'll eventually write my Kyrie one, but I'm currently busy with Levi and Shamal, plus some other random ideas.

As a Yuuno fan, I'll repeat, "Who else but Chrono?"

He might not have been my first choice either, if the concept had been set before me with a fill-in-the-blank, but I believe that Chrono is the best option Hayate could have chosen.

I likewise agree with the reasons already given as to why the others weren't good choices, and why Chrono was.

You can use mine but make it better looking and sounding. I even added a Tiger Dojo Purple Sky version when Yuuno overexerted himself :p

I mean, Hayate isn't a good friend with Chrono or anything, and as far as I can tell, an acquaintance at best. Why not one of her other friends, or someone else that is closer to her?

Or more simply because nobody gives a damn.
