Dunno why I'm reviving this. Monkey Jesus knows I should be concentrating on my other fics. Thing is, I opened Word with the intention of writing something entirely different, and then watched
this, thought it was utterly badass, and a sudden, irresponsible urge to write for this came about.
Really short...
As if RinÆs very own thoughts were a jinx onto themselves, she found herself staring straight into her opponentÆs smiling face the moment she moved, the scalpels already arcing downwards and about to cut her open.
æIs this-æ
There was a clang of metal hitting metal, and Archer was in front of her, their mysterious opponent sent back flying through the air before landing effortlessly in a graceful backflip.
ôAmazing,ö the boy muttered, ôsimply amazing.ö
His smile grew wider once more. Trembling, Rin, clenched her fists, feeling three jewels run down from a pouch under her sleeve into her hand.
æFather would have been delighted to have entered this battle.Æ
ôYour skill is truly impressive, Archer-kun,ö the boy addressed the Servant, ôwere time on my side, fighting you would be a delightful experience. Under the circumstances, however, I must lament not having killed your master first.ö
Shifting his feet a step to better cover Rin with his body, Archer simply smirked.
ôYou talk as if you could;
kid,ö he said calmly, ôbut then, most upstart punks can talk the talk.ö
Calmly, he raised his right hand and snapped his fingers. There was a shimmer of light, and a dozen beautifully decorated blades materialized in the air above him, pointing down upon the boy. Behind him, Rin gave a wan smile.
æAre thoseà Noble Phantasms? So thisà this is why his class is ArcheràÆ
The redheadÆs eyes widened.
ôWell, that was certainly unexpected,ö he said, ôI donÆt expect you might want to even the odds and give me some of those?ö
ôNo,ö Archer answered frankly, raising his hand once more.
ôI thought as much.ö
Archer snapped his fingers again. The blades flew.
