Something like that, yeah. Though he's unlocked it now, the old place doesn't ever get new posters or content. Not that THIS place has much new stuff, our biggest fandoms were all turn of the millennium series that have ended or were supplanted in popularity. It's really quiet now, no more of that old time frontier feel. Way fewer flamewars, but less energy too.

And yeah, we're all still pretty active about reading fanfiction and sharing/recommending it to each other, but the posting of fanfiction has died down a bit, mostly because we really don't have any members that are major authors in current 'hot' fandoms, and we're all too insular to be on good enough terms with them to invite them and their rabid fanbases over.

(Apologies in advance if I'm breaking a policy on new threads vs bumping--can't search the forum without getting a SQL error.)
Was looking for fanfics to read on TV Tropes and came across a reference to possible updates to Ranma and Akane: A Love Story which lead me to the old forum, which somehow my browser profile still had a log in for. Logged in and read the bit that was posted then noticed a PM. PM was to let me know that everything was migrated here.
Wow...been a very long long time. Looked up some old threads I posted (ideas) since I'm practicing writing again due to copious amounts of waiting times at work but no open web---just email--and I don't even recognize myself. Yikes! Will post whatever I come up with if I manage to finish anything. Can't believe how long it's been....

Second: Thread bumping is generally frowned upon if it's been a month or more since the last post, and if you offer nothing more than a simple comment (like 'Good job!' or 'Want more.'), ask a question of the author (PM first, thread only if you get no answer), or if it adds nothing to the original thread.
Mind, this is a _very_ general guideline.
Third: Welcome back! Glad to have you. Also, I have no idea why I'm acting like TFF's official greeter. Must be because I'm drunk... :huh.:

Thanks for the guidelines. Every forum has their own policy and I seem to recall having gotten chewed out once here way back when for violating them so wanted to try to get things straight from the get go.
LOL. I just downed a Sam Adams Octoberfest myself. Not sure if I'll be around much but it's nice to check in. Don't do much with forums online these days even if I still read fanfiction like crazy.
