Ranma ½ Rosario + Ranma

The funeral of one of the players obviously. Probably Ranma due to his use of obscure rulebooks.

Ranma grumbles in the corner about how what happened could have in no way killed him.

The rest of the gang get started on playing through the funeral.

Ranma goes and flips through rulebooks.

Ranma: "Wait, my bonuses!"

Yukari: "...he is actually correct. Due to this very obscure synergy bonus listed in this third party sourcebook, he actually lived."

Chainsaws are great for getting out of coffins.

Ranma's funeral? Wouldn't Kouma be more likely to die, after his extremely hazardous and ill-fated consumption of a single cigarette?
I'm thinking emphysema.

I don't write crack, I deal it.
That's awful.
Unless you're just being a smartass, in which case, touche!

Another idea: going to church.

Or whatever religion the characters choose to practice. Anything with lots of conflict is good.

Man, all the saves they're going to have to make just to stay awake will be brutal. Unless their character is a happy practitioner.

On the Manager/Carpenter ship, I think it could be humorous if they both genuinely hate it. Or possibly E.Moka actually went through with it in an elaborate scheme to kill Ranma and steal all his money.

Possible future quests:
Walking a dog.
Going to a party (beware of alcohol)
Getting laid.
Babysit niece.
Score some pot.
Go postal.
Go to dentist.
Attend concert/play/recital.

Okay, the jury duty one in particular sounds pretty funny.

Actually a trial could be fun. It's Kouma's moment to shine....and the group as a whole bollocks it up for him.

Jury Duty
Yukari: So last week we left off with Senpai being arrested for releasing those rabid dogs into the neighborhood.
Ranma: Hey, they helped with that vermin problem they should be heroes!
Moka: They mauled that poor mailman to death!
Raman: Some sacrifices need to be made for the greater good!
Kurumu: And those kindergartners?
Ranma: GREATER GOOD!
Yukari: Yes, ahem, as I said Sempai was arrested and now we're going to to have to attend his trial.
Ranma: Hey Kouma...
Kouma: Too late I'm already hired by the state. It's an open and shut case, those dogs were the rightful property of the city and you released them. Easy money, exp, and I get to send you to prison!
Tsukune: What about the murder?
Kouma: My clients are ignoring that in favor of the real crime. The crime that effecst them

What might be an interesting idea is have them attend the party, and on the way Kouma asks Ranma how to get a woman. Leading Ranma to give a lecture/rant on how bad an idea that is and how screwed he would be if he did that. With additional comments from Tsukune on how it's not that bad, but Ranma does hae the general idea.

Then during the party Ranma and Kouma, who asked what alchol does to a human, are drinking the punch while the other characters are drinking alchol. Unfortunately the random chart has decided that the alchol in the party is absinthe and the punch has been spiked so that it's become absinthe and everyone failed their fort save versus intoxication.

Que Ranma waking up with Evil Moka and then hijinks occour, when it finally finishes Yukari cuts to another waking scene, Tsukune and Kouma.

Hmm, actually, I could see this in combination with the crime one below it. . . only instead of going to jail Kouma rolls really well and Ranma's character has the choice of the death penalty or two life terms.

*Wanders off in thought*

That does seem to be the far more difficult objective in this universe.
Luckily, our heroes are nothing if not resilient!

What about going to work.

how about Job hunting, as i seriously oubt that they have a job already, they have proffesions, yes, but not a Job.
Ranma can woodcraft and the like and sell the pieces, Kouma just needs to find a poor desperate soul with money and a case, and Kurumu only needs to get employed OTOH Mokka's characters and Tsukune's need to go to an interview.

Ok this may be a bit late but about the Ranma pairing... I think you all are overlooking a simple fact. This, is, Ranma. Unlike Kuno if he gets engaged to any its obviously both. Although picturing Evil Moka and or Tsukune working in game with the party Lawyer to see if there is a way out and having some outlandish quest to pull it off that is virtually impossible and would be against Tsukune's personality, and against Evil Moka's character's general benifit. Leaving them both to follow Nerima rules about the situation. Some plots to get out of it could include:

1. Evil Moka feeding Ranma her cooking (Remember she took the destroyer of kitchens flaw)

2. Tsukune taking a level in Lesbian (remember the Maid character was not already setup and she had to roll later)... much to the Maid's brief happyness until she is reminded again that she is ramrod straight and only into guys.

3. Kouma continously tries to get Ranma blamed for any illegal activity real or not, only to get confounded by the Nermia rules. Like trying to use the chainsaw as proof that he is crazy and the Nerima rules allow for Carpenters to carry them for some crazy reason.

4. They discover that if their characters marry someone else then they are free but the only male character, other than Ranma, is Kouma. Bonus points if both characters took the lesbian route and there are local laws preventing same gender marrage. Also this gives Kouma a reason to use his law skills to try and change that law (under threat from evil Moka).

5. Kurumu could decide to get her character engaged to Ranma as a crazy plan to bed Tsukune's character.

6. Good Moka manages to stay out of this mess by pulling a Kasumi (Generally plays innocent but is willing to do anything the others pull within reason.

Yes, that was the intended reaction.

Also, prospective plots should include tasks that the entire party would have to accomplish together (out of necessity or convenience). This is a group-based game, after all.

Martial arts curling, perhaps?

Nah. Too out there. The theme is more to turn really mundane activities into catastrophes.

Unless they head to a beach, I really can't see any of them actually doing team sports or at least the rougher ones.

...oh and there is no way I can see you making golf as one of their main quests in a RPG as exciting...somewhat because you already had golf in one of your omakes. No way you can top that.

Perhaps high-speed high-stakes hide and seek? The winners get a coupon the losers have to sacrifice their best character to the volcano god?

Rather than being a quest in itself, that seems like the catastrophic result of babysitting someone's niece, or going to church on Sunday.
Which brings another conflict to mind.

Kouma: wait, you mean, like a Christian church?
Yukari: yes. Your character doesn't have to be Christian, but-
Kouma: sorry, I'm going to have to sit this session out for personal reasons.
Ranma: what do you have against Christ?
Kouma: that guy owes me three hundred dollars! I'm not going to pray to him, even in a game!
Kurumu: you'd think that Jesus would be the type to pay back his loans.
Kouma: pft. He's real big on forgiveness, if you hadn't heard.

Don't forgot handing around the collection plate.

Roll to resist peer pressure and keep your money. If you're too obvious about it, suffer the disapproval of the pastor and make another save.
