Ranma ½ Rosario + Ranma

well in Ranma, most Vacations end up as Rescue missions, and most Rescue Missions end up as Vacations anyway... practically they interchangeable.
OTOH i am waiting for the puppy petting and the Pervert lolicon/pedophile name calling.

I'm not sure if it would be better or worse if Kouma was Completely Okay with the belly rub thing of his lil sister. Especially if you were to do a second school term where she transfers in and she just likes the affection.

Visit Dog boy's house seems normal enough of a house, nothing wierd....
No, nothing weird at all.

"Hey, and here I thought you wouldn't have any pets! I guess your family isn't as stuck up, are they?" Ranma said happily as he leaned down and rubbed the head of a small, dark-haired puppy.
Said puppy barked happily at being petted, and Ranma promptly scooped it up before holding it up against his chest.
"What's its name?" Ranma asked as the puppy licked at his chin.
Not getting an immediate response, Ranma turned his head around and was quite perturbed to see Kouma surrounded by a red-hot aura while his eyes glowed a dark, seething carmine.
"You put my little sister down THIS INSTANT you twisted pedophile!"
Probably preferable to him walking in on Ranma playing Frisbee or rubbing a bigger dog's belly and yelling "MOM!"

Well, that's actually slated for the real story, not the omakes.
Actually, I suppose it could go in either. I supposed it would be main story material because meeting the Gamaroshis would mean lots of character development and touchy-feely backstory stuff.

big old softy lawer from hell, and seemingly an oerprotective brother too.
Well, how would YOU feel if some guy who came to your house for the first time started feeling up your underage sister right in front of you?
Or your mom, for that matter?
Hell, we could even go for the harem end and have him playing with all the Gamaroshi girls at once. Complete with leashes and collars.
The explosion would be seen from space.

How big is the Gamahoshi family anyway?

dude, there is nothing such as a negative connotation on OVERprotective Older Brother, as long as you are the brother, or just fray adjacent.
in this case it amerits an Erupting Volcano, especially if the females enjoyed the rubing and petting.

Haven't decided yet.
But there will be at least four of them, not including Kouma himself.

Spoken like someone who gets to watch onmipotently from above in complete safety.

If the parents aren't the truly overprotective ones then something's wrong.

Parent, in this case. She's a single mother. And if she's too busy enjoying belly rub....

In anime, there's usually something wrong.

A quick trip to google finds a table with the average litter size for different breeds. Shih-Tsu's average 3.4 while hounds average 10.1 pups. I don't know much about different breeds, but the larger breeds seem to have larger litters. The same web page claims the record goes to a Nap Mastiff that gave 24 puppies in a litter. I would guess that hell hounds, being very large hounds, could easily yield 7+ in one litter. If Kouma's mom had multiple litters, and since this is a younger sister.... It could be a very large family if BD wants to go that way.

Even if that was correct on the litter size, it's likely that hell hound pups kill each other, or other demons kill them, until only the strongest remains.

Though I find it more likely to be a smaller family regardless simply as being easier to write :p

Hell hounds are lawful evil devils, not chaotic evil demons. Big difference, as in "kill each other on site" levels of hatred between them, so don't confuse them.

They REALLY don't like being called the wrong thing.

Hmm. I'd be immensely amused if Kouma accidentally channels his father, who apparently sold his family and duty out and was playing fetch for elves (I think) at some point. If nothing else I have to wonder if the entire family thinks badly of Daddy, or if Kouma just has his own Daddy Issues to work out.

Hmm. Maybe the mother is happy that Kouma has attached himself to such a powerful partner? Or better yet, found such a strong alpha male? I'm very amused by everyone thinking Kouma's attachment to Ranma is a good thing.

Hmm... Gladiator-type survival matches between siblings...
Or just make hellhound litters small. Tough choice, actually.
Or maybe the family could be big, but only a small portion actually lives at home:

"It was really tough, losing our home and our sole breadwinner," Miss Gamaroshi explained with a sigh, "but the kids have really pitched in to make it work. I'm so proud of them! Kouma has six brothers and four sisters that don't live here, working full-time to help support us."
"Oh, wow. And they didn't go to school, either?" Ranma asked. "What do they do? Construction?"
"They're guard dogs," the Gamaroshi matriarch said.
Ranma was silent for several awkward seconds. "Uhm... And the money comes from...?"
"They empty their owners' bank accounts every once in a while, set the whole thing up like it was an identity theft scam," she explained with a smile. "It's infrequent, true, but it's the only way we could keep a house and save for Kouma's law schooling. And our pool. And my Pachinko habit. And the BMW." She sniffled and wiped a hot, sizzling tear from her eye. "I'm so proud of my babies!"

It would probably be funnier if someone else mentioned the last 3 things.

Considering that the fall from favor of Kouma's family was because of dealing with elves, I rather doubt we're dealing with a pure DnD system.

Though I really get devil and demon mixed up a lot. They are mostly synonyms in other uses.

Besides, the Gamaroshis (except Kouma) have pretty much given up that whole "alignment" bother as they adjust to the hardships and moral ambiguity of life as humans (see above potential snippet involving career thievery).
So you could say that, in this instance, humanity has corrupted the devils XD
