sometimes people just flat out don't have 500k on hand when they need to overture, but they do have a couple million tied up in market ryo and it's better to buy a 600-700k heartsong than to convert ryo at the 40% conversion rate.
just think about the average person doing r00t, they aren't earning money from field actions and they also are losing like 100k per phase in juice, they tend to be low on real ryo.
There's also the fact that real ryo is much nicer to have around than marketplace ryo, you can actually buy things with real ryo so losing 500,000 kinda sucks when you could just spend dumb marketplace ryo instead.
