Naruto Secret of Slime

I got the feeling Naruto has more fun chasing girls than he would being 'awarded' time with a girl for being a hero. Or something like that.

Why not use a slight crossover and make the Shukaku's priests summon a Gillian level Menos Grande?
Or a Lovecraft-lyke type of supernatural horror?
FOR ALL THAT IS GOOD AND HOLY STOP TRYING TO HELP!!!!!!

zenaku: FTW!!!

Duraiken: I think it's accurate to say that Naruto enjoys the chase as much as anything else.

However, I don't think he'd object to spending time with a girl he spent hours, upon days, upon weeks trying to woo, as opposed to a girl who is interested in him simply because he's a famous hero.

No matter incarnation of Naruto you're seeing, that just isn't him.

MWkillkenny84: I can't speak wholly for AJT, but I think we're satisfied with the crossover categories we're working with, though we may have an antagonist or three that are loosely based off of others from other anime/mangas.

Of course, if we do that, it will be subtle and some of you will have to squint to see it.

blackkyuubi: Over-react much? Just because there is something he would really like to see doesn't mean we'll necessarily incorporate it.

To be honest, we haven't really thought about spectral antagonists passed the next arc. If we are lacking in inspiration, taking a look at other anime's like Bleach or some others we might think of to come up with the next nasty ghostly bad guy.

While we currently have no plans to start plucking spirits directly from other anime/mangas/etc. we can't rule out the possibility of future good guys and bad guys, both corporeal and not, being at least influenced by them.

You don't understand, he's been doing this on nearly every popular thread on this site lately. True I overreacted but it wasn't over just one thing.

Do keep in mind I've just come off a nearly 4 month hiatus due to lack of internet connectability and I don't comb through every topic to check out everything I've missed. Add to the fact he joined one month into my internet-less exile and I have no idea who he is, so I'm not going to discount what he says/requests out of hand at the moment.

I try to be fair and level headed like that, and prefer to keep an openmind.

And yes, you can overreact to bad ideas. It's the terrible ones that need killed with fire that you should truly concentrate the full force of your ire on. That being said, I'm almost sure that with zeebee's sharp wit, he could make some of those wannabe fanfic writers over a FF.Net cry with his brutal honesty with how terrible a lot of them can be.

It might be possible with time travel. Or they could be in the containment unit. If you deal with ghosts that extensively sooner or later you'll become one yourself.

Do keep in mind, as it was described in an earlier post, the Ghostbuster's firehouse came from another dimension and then sat there for hundreds of years, being buried under rock and dirt and had a town and forest grow over it before Naruto and Sakura found it. You'd not only need time travel, but intra-dimensional travel as well.

As of yet, there aren't any plans to have the original Ghostbusters meet the Konoha Ghostbusters.

I used "Gillian" because they are the first thing who has come to my mind when I read of the seal array of the priest and its effect on the 'phantom energy'.
If the Gillian cannot be used because a non-adding crossovers...
In an episode of "The Real Ghostbusters", Slimer, Come Home (Season 1, episode 4) a group of poltergeist make themselves and a large group of ghost (Slimer included) 'eat-ed' by their boss, to make him stronger.
The priest's seal can be able to replicate the effect and generate an high-powered ghost in the same class of the Bijuus, Gozer or another powerful canonical ghost.

Uh-huh.

Most of the broad details were ironed out last night by myself and AJT.

There's still some of the finer details to go over, but we'll work on those as they come up.

As for your containment unit idea zeebee, as the Ghostbusters were clearly outside of the firehouse when the containment unit exploded and opened the rift to Naruto's dimension, the only way that could work is if we went with Zanji's idea of a dimensional rift.

Those things, in theory, are very finicky and could do almost anything, as per most any sci fi story most of us have ever seen. The rift could put them into the Narutoverse well after the firehouse got there and was fixed up and the containment unit repaired.

So while the GB's might not have been in the containment unit already, they could suddenly appear in there. Of course, figuring out how the Konoha Ghostbusters would find this out and get them out of there might be more than a bit of a problem.

But doable.

And just for general information sake, we even have the antagonist for the next arc already in place. The next arc will also take place pre-Chuunin Exams and is currently titled the "Hyuuga Arc". And that's all I dare reveal at the moment, as the only thing we've come up with so far is the next ghostly bady, bady and how the Ghostbusters get involved in stopping the next nefarious plot.

Sakura reached Gaara's resting room, and opened the door. Matsuri's back was to the door, and she was kneeling next to Gaara. She was leaning over him, and her hands seemed to be on him.

"How is Gaara, Matsuri?" Sakura asked. The girl eeped and jumped away from her position looking over Gaara like a shocked rabbit, and immediately assumed the seiza position with a red flush on her face in front of Sakura. Sakura blinked, Kankuro stared, and Sasuke scowled.

"Everything all right?" Sakura asked. Slimer hooted a bit, but upon getting a look at Gaara's face he yelped and hid behind the door. He still remembered being up close and personal with the Shukkaku container and had little desire to repeat the experience.

"Oh-Oh yes! Yes! He's fine, very fine, better than fine!" She squeaked. Sasuke raised his eyebrows, and Kankuro's jaw dropped.

"What the...?"

Sasuke sighed, and crossed his arms over his chest. He recognized that blush on Matsuri's face. Fangirl, great. Well he supposed even killing machines like Gaara might have a few. And she seemed so normal...

Sakura knelt next to Gaara and examined the device. She opened the front panel and began to fiddle with various wires and knobs. Kankuro entered the room and knelt down next to her, watching her work.

"So, what sort of adjustments are you making?" Kankuro asked.

Sasuke scowled, and moved to kneel on Sakura's other side. Matsuri went around to the other side of Gaara's body, and also watched Sakura's work.

"I'm altering the neutron flow from 34.5 megahertz to 32.445 megahertz. That adjustment should make the suppression system more effective. At the moment Shukkaku might begin making stabs at Gaara's subconscious, but a narrower frequency should minimize chances of an ego breach and subsequent cross-spiritual contamination. I mean, already his reality matrix is being frayed at a rate of .835 ikaris every twenty four hours, it's a wonder he's not a raving loony already..."

Sasuke was satisfied to see Kankuro's eyes were glazing over just as much as he imagined his own were. Kankuro, seeing this, just smirked and scooted closer to Sakura.

"Yes? Go on?" Kankuro said. Sakura beamed and proceeded to do so.

"Well, the fundamental theory of ego borders is reliant upon the personal conception of self, which when dealing with world systems possessing trans-dimensional energies can be influenced by interaction between..."

"Shouldn't you be checking on your sister?" Sasuke hissed, moving closer to Sakura in retaliation. Kankuro chuckled, and slowly put his hand around Sakura's shoulders.

"Shouldn't you be checking on your teammate?" Kankuro whispered.

"... Absolute Terror field interactions can produce reality-unreality matrix breaches, the fundamental theory behind chakra empathy, or "killing intent" though, is primarily psychic in concept, the exact boundary between real and unreal..."

Sakura had bent over entirely, in order to stare deeply at the device while she continued to lecture. This allowed Sasuke and Kankuro to look at each other directly. Kankuro looked down at Sakura, and his smirk grew. Sasuke followed his gaze.

Woah... Is that Sakura's ass? He'd never really paid much attention to it, but suddenly it seemed very, very interesting. Sakura was almost always in her jumpsuit when he saw her. Around the firehouse she'd sometimes unzip it, take it off the upper half of her body, and tie it around her waist, leaving her in a very tight white undershirt, the top of her panties exposed...

His cheeks turned red as the memory was suddenly in a very different light now. He glared death at Kankuro. The puppet master simply lowered his hand, hovering a few centimeters above Sakura's backside. Sasuke's eyes flew wide open, and he held up his fist threateningly.

"... the implications are enormous, but of course you'd require a human soul in a construct big enough to channel the conception of self into a practical weapon..."

Kankuro waved his hand up and down, each time threatening to press his hand against Sakura's ass. Sasuke growled.

"Get your hand away from her," he mouthed to Kankuro.

"What? Afraid she might like it?" Kankuro mouthed back. Sasuke leaned over Sakura, feeling like his Sharingan eyes threatening to emerge in his anger. Kankuro leaned forward as well, his smile a challenging one.

"Prick," Sasuke mouthed.

"Asshole," Kankuro mouthed back.

"... So as a result the primary feedback is distributed through psychic buffers, which break down each reality break energy into smaller and smaller ikaris..."

"Bastard," Kankuro mouthed.

"Dickless," Sasuke mouthed back.

Matsuri watched this back and forth in some trepidation. Slimer, on the other hand, had a different reaction.

"Sakuwa! Sakuwa!"

Sakura shot back up into a sitting position, the back of her head colliding with Kankuro and Sasuke's faces.

"OW!" Sakura hissed, and rubbed the back of her head. "Damnit, what-?" She turned and saw both Kankuro and Sasuke laid out on the floor behind her. "What are you two doing?!"

"Um... Nothing," Sasuke and Kankuro both quickly responded. Sakura sighed, and rubbed the back of her head again with a wince.

"Ow... Look, I'm done with the adjustments. I think we need to find Naruto and Temari, and decide what we're going to do next," Sakura said. She stood up and walked out the door. "Stay with him Matsuri."

"Of course, Sakura-san!" Matsuri said. Sasuke and Kankuro rose, and both gave dirty looks to Slimer. The little ghost merely laughed, and turned to fly after Sakura.

"I hate that ghost," Sasuke grumbled.

"Same here," Kankuro snorted.

"Sakura's always treating him like he can do no wrong, and always has a treat for him," Sasuke complained. "And he acts so innocent..."

"Clearly pure evil, you saw how close that blob is to that blond knucklehead," Kankuro said.

The two nodded. They then looked at eachother in some shock at their agreement. Their expressions turned to deadly glares.

"Bastard."

"Prick."

They headed out of the room, leaving Matsuri to stare after them.

"... So strange," she murmured. She scooted up alongside Gaara again. "Nothing like you though, Gaara-sama. Nothing like you at all."

I'm sorry, did you just use "Ikari's" as a unit of measurement of SANITY in a conversation where Sakura explaiins the AT field theory and hypothesizes about the possibility of the creation of an Evangelion unit? In a GHOSTBUSTERS cross???

...when you roll your SAN check, you count in Ikari...... Gendo you BASTARD!

Surprised and delighted when I saw that AJT updated this again. I had been contemplating about doing just that very thing myself, despite my views on double posting.

No matter the source of AJT's material, one must admit that it works rather well. Extremely well, in fact. Whether you love or hate him, it's an incontestable fact that he knows how to put things together. After all, the concept for this thread (while laughable to some at first glance- no matter how awesome it's turned out) was his idea.

Never-the-less, I have a few ideas on tying the story back together, reuniting Sakura and the boys with Naruto and Temari.

Glad to be back on this story, and congrats on your 3,000th post. I'll leave the next part to you but I'd like to see it before you post it.

Not a problem, since I have to get my laptop back from my Dad before I can even start it- which should be tonight.

As long as I don't lose my written notes, I should be set.

My elder daughter spilled... Something... On it while I was at work on Wednesday and so I gave it to my dad to fix- which it is, I just have to pick it up from his house.

In the meantime, I have commandeered my wife's computer, but since I don't like working on my projects- or much anything else on it- I'm refraining from doing too much in the near future until I get my own computer again.
