Chapter 10: Chunin Exams, Yo!
"Good morning, everyone!"
"Good morning, Hinata." Kurenai raised an eyebrow, amused at Hinata's energy and spring in her step. "I trust you had a good New Year's?"
"Hihihihi! Does it show?" Maybe too much, Kurenai thought as she saw the Hyuuga actually do a half-pirouette before coming to a stop in front of her. "Oh, like you didn't have a good time last night, sensei!"
"Hmm... Guilty." The red-eyed woman smirked. "So, before the boys get here, mind sharing?"
"Oh, sensei! You're gonna make me say it!" The usually meek girl was now holding her cheeks and shaking her head, going 'kyaaa'. Kurenai, knowing her maybe better than anyone in the village, also knew that only one thing could cause such a sudden solar predisposition in Hinata.
"So, you finally managed to get some private time with your blonde hunk?"
"YEEEEEES!" The Jounin actually had to cover her ears to protect herself from the volume of Hinata's shrill cry. Then, she observed as her beaming face changed into a small pout. "Although... Not exactly private."
"Hmm?"

"Ino, darling... Are you alright?"
"... Yes." The blonde genin was in bed, covers up to her chest, staring up at the ceiling. She had came back around seven AM, after a night of intense physical activity. She really needed her rest but she couldnÆt fall asleep. Her mind refused to shut down until she resolved a dilemma. Her mom had just come to check on her. She could use an opinion. "Mom, have you ever had sex with people other than dad after marrying?"
"Of course. Your dad isn't around all day, you know." Mrs Michiru Yamanaka shrugged her shoulders. With how often and randomly the pheromone acted up, there was no way for anyone to keep himself/herself exclusive. Also, the way she saw it, a bit of change every now and then in sex did wonders for the married life. "And don't let me get started on long term missions. You remember that day last year when I sent you to sleep at the Nara's? Well, I organized-"
"Wrong question. Have you ever wanted two men at the same time?" She paused. "Not for sex."
"Hmm... No. I must say that as long as romantic feelings go, I've always been of one mind." The woman admitted. She sighed fondly as she remembered one of her teenage loves. Poor Mikoto. How she ended up... "Do I have to guess that you find yourself in a Takewaki Kuno situation?"
"Not sure who that is, but... Well..." Ino stared at the giant Sasuke's poster plastered to her ceiling. Should she put another one next to it featuring an idiot with blonde hair? "Sasuke-kun is Sasuke-kun, but I'm absolutely certain that no one will ever top the person I've been with last night when it comes to mind blowing, soul shattering, nirvana inducing, hot, steamy, raunchy intercourse." The adult woman actually blushed at that. More because her daughter had never been one for such language than the mental images, but- "Oh. With him and another girl."
Okay. Now also because of the mental images. 'Again? She really is my baby girl.' "... Ino, honey. Mind sharing some details?" She was already feeling the need, might as well get in the mood.

"Hmm... Good thing we don't have team meeting today." Naruto moaned out loud as he brushed his teeth.
"Rough night, brat?" Zabuza asked from his seat on the toilet, newspaper and all. He didnÆt believe in bathroom privacy or he believed in time optimization. Either way...
"You don't know the half of it." Naruto gargled and then spat water and toothpaste. "I don't think I've ever met anyone as enthusiastic as Hinata. Ino passed out around 4 AM, but Hinata actually looked more energetic when we finished. What's up with that?"
"Hmm. Women are strange creatures." The missing nin turned a page of the newspaper. "Got the marks to prove it."
"Found a party last night, didnÆt you?" Sighing, Naruto left the bathroom. He really hoped no one would ask any favours of him. He needed the rest. If not bodily, at least mentally. He plopped down on the couch. "Thanks for the mid-day breakfast, Haku."
"It was my pleasure, Naruto-sama." Haku said as she dried her hands, having finished with the dishes. She couldnÆt help but chuckle at Naruto's tired look. "Most people would look cheerful after a long night with two pretty girls."
"No complaints about that, just about the amount of effort it took. Never met anyone so eager." He put his hands on his face, groaning. "I need to relax."
"Hmm, if I may be so humble to suggest a way to do that..." Naruto cursed. He had neglected Haku, hadn't he? "We could cuddle."
He blinked and raised his head. "Cuddle?"
"Cuddle." Chuckling, Haku suddenly removed her sandals and layed on top of Naruto, wrapping her arms around his body and kissing him on the lips before settling her head on his chest. "I couldnÆt help but notice that Naruto-sama prefers this kind of physical attention. It happens to be a favorite of mine as well."
"... Probably because of a lack of it in youth, hn?" Naruto got the hint and hugged Haku back, a hand on top of her head, stroking her hair softly. She sighed contently. She perked her head up and laid a series of soft pecks on the blondes lips before settling down on his chest again. He smiled. "You know, I kind of like this cuddle thing."

"Naruto did?" Kakashi said, amused as both Asuma and Kurenai had told him the same thing, alias that his blonde subordinate had been their female student's partner for the night. Asuma had to get the information second hand from Shikamaru, Ino being out of it. "Well, he's moving up the ladder. From civilians to ninjas. I expect him to land a Chunin by the end of the year."
"Well, tell him to try and leave them in condition to come to team meetings next time, okay?" Asuma sighed, putting out the smoking button of his latest cig. "Although, I guess it's also my fault putting a team-meeting at midday on New Year's."
"I see everyone has had an eventful night. I'm grateful-Happy." No one of the Ninja in the room were fooled by the Thirds try at a cover up. It was public rumor than the crystal ball, the mystic artifact passed down from Hokage to Hokage, was now little more than a glorified peep-hole. "So, you've probably already guessed that I'm here to gather any eventual recommendations for the Chunin selection exams. What you don't know is that this edition of the exams will be held in Konoha." Cue incredulous stares from all the Ninja who didnÆt know about it beforehand. The Hokage shrugged. "I was as surprised as you. The safest bet is that they want to see how good would an invasion force fare against our natural defenses. You know, them being a miniature war and stuff."
"... It does make a distorted sort of sense." Kakashi sighed. "But they're really underestimating the pheromone, if that is indeed the case."
"Well, let them. The worst that can happen is for things to get really interesting. Especially with some of the tests proposals that the examiners are coming up with." The Hokage giggled, again. The three eooke teachers rolled their eyes at that. "I can assure you that they're going to be completely suitable tests for ninja skills, as well."
"Very well... I recommend the whole Team 7, composed by Haruno Sakura, Uchiha Sasuke and Uzumaki Naruto."
"Sakura, Sasuke and Naruto... Check." Iruka commented out loud, taking notes. Kakashi stared in his direction. Iruka raised an eyebrow. "What?"
"No objections? I thought you'd be worried about rookies with so little experience being nominated for the exams."
"Normally I would, but, Sakura is a smart girl. Also, she has a couple tricks up her sleeve. Sasuke has managed to remain caste until now through sheer willpower, so I'm confident he'll be okay. Barring senbons." The two adult ninjas shared a laugh at the memory/report. "And we both know that Naruto has more chances than any other rookies to ace these particular exams."
"Hmm, he may have developed some mental resistance to scarring and learned how to be a devious bastard himself, but... I have a feeling he's going to struggle nonetheless." Iruka stared confused at Kakashi. He shrugged. "Just a feeling. I guess it will depend on the examiners whether it's unfounded or not."

"Heheheh... Hahahaha!" Anko cackled with glee as she read the paper in front of her. ôIbiki, you're a genius!ö Then she frowned. ôBut I won't lose to you.ö Somewhere, a cuddling blonde cringed.
