I love these threads. It's the perfect place to go when I feel emo and have the need to do a MIND CRUSH on myself.

Edit: Ah hahaha i managed through most of Sharingan Harry and came upon this.

ôWellà just leave him theàö she stopped and looked at HarryÆs shadow clone. ôWhat are you doing Mr. Potter?ö she asked making the clone look at her emotionlessly with a raised eyebrow. ôWhat are you doing not being knocked out? How did you manage that without earmuffs?ö
ôWhat are you doing not being knocked out?"
Oh god I'm still laughing as I type this

While the fic itself isn't too bad, the writing style's just irritating - it's as though she's trying to be dramatic, but it just turns out pretentious. It's especially prevalent in her later fics. Also, some of the weirdest crap I've ever seen pulled on a fetus happens here.

That, and the complete lack of empathy or sympathy I feel for any of the characters. Her wrong twin and similar stories are just as...well, annoying.

Draw your own opinions.

EDIT: And Remus...just Remus.

Necroing, and powerful and evil art... (Sorry wanted to say it again....)

One Hundred and forty nearly Twelve

11 year olds dating, Harry and Hermione being soulmates on the first day being at the castle and having more power then Dumbledore before even starting school... Oh let's not forget them sleeping naked together the first night in the same bed... I didn't continue after that so if you want more then you'll have to read it....

Well, It seems nobody's brought it up here yet (I know he's been mentioned repeatedly in the Naruto "Burn it with Fire" thread).

Don't say his name 3 times.

He's already looking into your soul.

He's the pinnacle of all that is wrong in the world.

Let's give a big cheer to the feelings of nausea and revulsion he inspires!

His work is well-known, well-loved by many, and not recognized for the filthy refuse it is NEARLY as often as it should be.

He's...

Perfect Lionheart!

There's not enough fire in the world...

You're being so childish. Perfect Lionheart may resist criticism, but his writing isn't all that bad. He tends to world build too much for some people's taste, and his stories follow some general patterns I suppose, but I like his writing. Some times I want to read a piece where the good guys have good things happen to them and actually succeed.

Too much realistic hardship can be depressing, and a nice happy story where the good guys actually come out ahead is nice.

Besides I don't see why this forum purposefully antagonizes him. I mean it started with some real constructive criticism, but it's degenerated into a cruel in-joke.

Besides, only *looks right*, *looks left* Happosai can be summoned that way.

I just realized something.

The opening chapter of this absolutely reeks of a Harry Potter/Spiderman crossover.

ôWell, when I was younger, I was in the army, and lost my foot in combat,ö said Dr. Moreau. ôI hated the prosthesis I was given, and tried to find a way to get my foot back. I went to college and majored in biology, specifically human and animal genetics. One of the areas I researched was how reptiles regenerated their limbs when they lost one. It didnÆt take me long to figure out how to extract the DNA code for the regeneration, but I needed a way to get it into a human, namely, me.ö

ôAnd how did you do that?ö

ôA friend of mine came up with the answer,ö said the doctor. ôHe works with pathogens, and managed to create a harmless one, one that carries the DNA code as well as the encoding agent needed to write the ability into the human cells."
Lizard, anyone?

o_O

I actually am against Perfect Lionheart's writing for the sadism the heroes tend to display (and now I've said that name twice. Gotta be careful, or he'll show up here).

Note, in his HP story, when Harry decided that the Dursleys were too much of a threat to his safety, and needed to be eliminated, he did not kill them. No, he turned them into blind, immortal monstrosities, and condemned them to spend eternity together, consuming one another's flesh for sustenance... Does that sound very heroic?

In the most recent chapter: After having Snape torture Draco to the brink of death, the "heroes" learned from Narcissa that Draco was, in all probability, raped regularly, from a young age, by his own father. Their response to this is to twist Narcissa's arm into signing a contract, wherein Draco is permanently turned into a girl, through magic. They consign him to be a sex slave/breeding whore to Crabbe and Goyle, and remand any legal right he/she would have to see his/her prosepctive children... And then the audience is expected to laugh at the idea that Hermione knows that the female form of Draco is "Draca"

...And nobody has a problem with any of this?? This isn't good things happening to the good guys. This is a tale about the bestowal of vast power onto children causing Absolute Moral Bankruptcy and it is written, and read, as though it were light fluff-fiction.

I'm not saying his name a third goddamn time.

I read Gene Spliced Harry, and I'm not sure on reading the other one, but I'm curious about the origin (book/series/movie?) of the gene splicing, or was it just a real original idea from that author??

Happosai?

Well, you forgot Candelja- Ah ah ah, almost got me there! Besides, what's wrong with being childish? What's the point in being older if you can't act like a child!? As for the splicing, not sure where, but I know I've seen it before, most likely a comic book/movie...

Gene splicing is from "Batman Beyond". It wasn't well executed in my opinion, they made it a one episode thing, when it had the potential to shape a season or more.

As to Perfect Lionheart... you have to understand that I am a person with a very non-standard sense of morality, and the morals I hold have not been violated. Although I do think he should have just killed the Dursleys and been done with it. Also what happened to Draco is troubling, but only because of my feelings about gender changes which I carry over from Ranma 1/2.

Many people regard me as rather cold or sadistic though...

@Azrael, again: As to the panty thief, you have obviously missed out on some of the more hilarious fanfictions of the fandom if you don't get that at all.

I think Gene splicing is a rather old concept.

IIRC a number of hero's and villains in DC and Marvel received there powers from having there Gene's spliced with animals.

Though I have only heard of it in BB where it was so widespread, and was done by people willingly.

There exists an HP/Teen Titans crossover that my mind refuses to name. It has the baby Harry teleports and grows up as someone else thing to make him Robin.

A number of things are just-plain-wrong with this story. The first I really noticed was that SUPERMAN claimed that SLADE was the same class of villan as DARKSEID. As well as claiming to be a hero for revenge, just like Bruce and 'Harry'. It gets worse.

Slade proceeds to claim Robin as his apprentice through some bull$#!t bad guy law that everyone treats as indisputable fact. No reason is ever given why Superheroes would feel the need to even pay attention to the self declared rights of law breakers.

And only after all of this does it finally get to the HP part, with Harry teleporting back to his home world and is immediatly tracked down by Dumbledore, McGonnagal, and Snape. Harry thinks Snape is untrustworthy at first glance but that doesn't make him even hesitate to tell his life story, complete with a powerpoint SLIDESHOW were he reveals his and Batman's true names.

At that point I clicked the little X and have blissfully avoided all thought of that story until today.

Every story by this author seems to have all the characters talking with a Hagrid accent.

To be honest, this doesnt upset me I just find it very amusing.

Almost any of Kinsfire's stories. You know all those stories where the main character constantly sacrifices himself for others?

Well this is worse, one of them has him letting Malfoy and Goons rape him :sick2: by merely threatening to rape whichever harem members he had. Note: they were still at Hogwarts and in their 4th year I believe.

No, I've read that one. It was their seventh year, and, to be fair, Malfoy also threatened to kill them.

Anyway, just ran into this steaming pile of crap.

It's called "Lord Potter," begins with Harry apparating to Diagon Alley and getting a wand from Ollivander for the flimsiest of reasons (A direct quote => "I need an extra one in case I get disarmed in a duel I will have an extra one and take the death eaters by surprise".), and ends with Harry in a tuxedo and Tonks in Rayne from Bloodrayne's dress (he actually says this) going out to eat before Death Eaters attack.

The sentence structure is so bad it honestly makes me laugh.

I pray that this is a troll. I really do. Because otherwise, my opinion of the human race as a whole has just dropped another few notches.

(Lurker delurking!)

There's a story floating out there, can't remember the name or author, but the whole thing pissed me off enough that it basic details stuck in my mind. The writing, IIRC, was competent enough but the setting/plot tripped some primal rage trigger in me.

So, here's the basics as I remember them: The whole thing with Voldemort goes down, only the Potters are saved by the last-minute intervention of <s>a pair of Sues</s> James & Lilly's "adopted older children" (!) who then help the family disappear into "The Magical British Empire" (!!) which happens to be a shadow of the original British Empire ca. the late Georgian/early Victorian period (!!!).

Flash forward to, oh, sixth year IIRC. Harry Potter comes to Hogwarts as a knighted colonel in HM's Magical British Imperial Army (!!!!) as part of... at this point I kinda lost track of WTF was supposed to be going on. I only remember that the conflict seemed three-sided, with Voldemort, the Order and the MBE as the players, that Hermione seemed to be the only character for whom the existence of a Magical British Empire seemed a bit odd (she got a lot of shit for thinking colonialism had gone out of fashion), and that Harry and Ginny were married while she was in school (!!!!!) without her parents knowledge (!!!!!!!). Oh, and there was a lot of pip-pip-cheerio bullshit involving wizards in redcoats carrying muskets and Enfields.

So, yeah. Anybody remember this nonsense? I feel a need to send the author a horse's head.

That would be Marquis Black's The Dark Wars series. The link goes to the first one in the set.
