Suggestion: Stop allowing people to request thread deletions.

You already know my thoughts on post deletions, and thread deletions are even worse by far.

Why actually delete threads when people ask for it? You might as well just allow people to delete them in the first place so we don't have to bother with pretenses.

That way, at least you don't have to bother the mods to delete large swaths of the goddamn board.

Or you could not whine about it when people abuse threads for OOC chatter, something you yourself have done before and have participated in as well. This isn't a suggestion, it's passive aggressive (and not that passive) complaint.

Dude, it was an idea thread, the original topic creator didn't see that we had a general idea thread and he reposted his suggestion there before requesting the deletion. The responses he got were all informing him that we had a general idea thread. In this case there's no reason NOT to delete the thread.

In the case of an author wanting their fic destroyed to "get back" at readers, or similar cases where actual content is being destroyed, deletion requests will be denied. In this case it's just organizational sense. Motion denied and thread locked.
