Epsilon blinked when he saw something unusual after the sewing needle thrown by the shinobi hit the target. 'What the...?'
He moved a bit closer to where the fly guts were splattered on the wall and saw some of the strange data patterns that would not normally be seen on a domestic house fly. He could recognize a few pieces of code here and there but the rest all seemed like gibberish to him.
'May as well focus on what I can pick out. Just where have I seen these patterns before?' He ran over his mental database before stopping at a particular point. After cross-referencing that with the current view on the wall, he swore quietly under his breath before he walked away from the group and headed to a men's washroom.
After taking some proper precautions to ensure his privacy, he opened a link to his DITE peers. "Nagato... Asakura... we have a problem."
Nagato's reply came first. What is it?
"I found a bug that contains data patterns which match up to our limited records on the Macrospatial Quantum Cosmic Existence. It's safe to assume that we've been compromised."
... shit.
Although it was out of character for Asakura to swear, that seemed to be the only appropriate word that suited the situation.
"I'll need the two of you to help me work out some countermeasures ASAP. The last thing we want is for them to make an even bigger mess of things as they are now."
Understood.
Acknowledged.
"Epsilon out." After deactivating his security protocols to ensure that things didn't seem out of the ordinary, he stepped out of the bathroom and bumped into a girl wearing a dark green maid uniform.
