Negi didn't get Cassiopeia until well after Evangeline was defeated. That's the only problem I see with that idea.

While that may be true, this is Cassiopeia we are talking here. A time-space distortion would be caused by the breakdown, which would cause the "what-if" personalities (so to speak) to appear. But who's to say it didn't send him back further in time?

It is a possibility, but probably only if another made it so the time-travel device came into his hands sooner. And since it wouldn't work except during festival time, very unlikely.

But a space-time disruption of that sort could easily have multiple effects, such as the MPD and dropping him off at an earlier time, like when he first becomes a teacher or something. Especially if one of his multiple personalities is a pervert, imagine the things that could be done during library island....ku ku ku.

That is an appealing line of thought for a room with thirty-one girls. Especially when the dynamics make you the only male!

I mean, honestly. If Negi weren't ten, and was in all of those situations...Well, I wouldn't resist when the class tried molesting me, thats for sure. I'd just call it a harem and make a day of it. A couple, if I played my cards right.

Now I wanna be a magical teacher too He's got the magic stick, man.
