Make challenges to get challenges, right? I suppose if I set something down, someone's bound to set something down for me.
So, and I'm just pulling this out of my head right now: challenge!
Alright, how about Ranma 1/2. A Ranma 1/2 Xover. A Ranma/Female char. pairing, with the female character being from whatever series Ranma 1/2 is crossing over with. Now here's the challenge bit: Use a sort of "series of shortfics" to make a oneshot about the first meeting and following relationship between Ranma and this character--this character which can be a female character of your choosing from a manga/anime/whatever of your choosing.
One last thing: The female character must not be a fighter or martial artist. So, that means no Sailor Scouts (I'm sorry, Senshi or whatever), no Street Fighter characters, no...whatever. You get the picture.

Here's a challenge for whoever feels like taking it up:
Write a Love Hina fic pairing up Keitaro with one of the lovely lolis of the series: Sarah, Nyamo, or Mei. The rules are as follows:
No alternate universes! This means no altering basic things about the setting or the characters. Everyone is the same age as they are in the manga, no settings where Keitaro is expected to marry multiple girls, etc.
It can be a lemon, but not one with no (or a flimsy) plot. Don't just have it be Keitaro banging one of the girls and then thinking a one-line explanation for how they got together.
No basing the relationship on deception. While amusing misunderstandings are the province of Love Hina, Keitaro has to know who he's wooing. That means no having him get into a relationship with Shinobu, for example, and having Nyamo disguise herself as her to go out on dates with him, etc.
This should be set before the time-jump at the end of the manga. It's too easy to just say that Keitaro and Naru's marriage breaks up, and he goes out with one of the girls now that they're older. The point of this is that it's a relationship with them when they're still scandalously young.
Ema is not a viable choice for this challenge. While she is young when she first appears, Keitaro's less than a day away from being married, which means the only way she and Keitaro could get together (without massively extenuating circumstances) would be if Keitaro used the "divorce Naru and date another Hina girl" routine above.
No using mind-altering spells, drugs, machines, etc. While it may be fun to say that Su is using Virtual-kun v.3 on Sarah to put her into a fantasy where she's kissing Keitaro, and she ends up liking it, that's something of a cop-out, and bypasses the awkward fun of Keitaro and the girl getting together on their own.

LH Mei should be around 12years old when whe apears in the anime. And about MSN Mei, there isn't any confirmation about her being the same Mei from LH. We only know that she is in Mahora Junior High, is and exchange student that comes from a magic school in North America, uses fire magic, and is partner of Takane (the blonde nurse).
Yes that's the fic. Now I will say that it isn't a terrible fic. But, he made a lot of mistakes early on that prevents it from being a great fic. And that introductory chapter? Points taken off there. <_<
That being said, well, it is Keitaro/Nyamo. So that challenge has been 'done' so to speak. No Keitaro/Mei or Keitaro/Sarah fics though.

For example, I've read exactly two Keitaro/Sarah fics, but both were rather abysmal.
Having all of this in a single topic is getting a bit too clumsy, so I coughed up a separate section for it instead, so every single challenge can get a topic of it's own without cluttering up the other sections too much.
I've ripped all the challenges from this thread and made separate entries for each of them, please follow that example for future challenges instead of adding further challenges to this thread.
