"This is Tachibana Ayase live on the scene as twisted creatures unlike any horror we have seen in Tokyo-03 too date are assualting the city. Behind me you can see Police, Millitary, and even a few Civillian authorites battling against for the lack of a better term Monsters with little success." The raven-haired reporter spoke loudly hoping to be ehard over the sounds of gunfire and explosions.
Standing in the middle of the deserted street facing a barricade of armored transport vehechles and police cruisers was a group of Seven abominations appearing to be skinless dogs about triple the size of a normal grayhound and single blue jewel placed in the center of their foreheads. Laying at their fet were several dismembered corpses some still screaming as the creatures made a meal of them their sharp teeth rending even bone with ease.
Circling in the sky like vultures waiting were the deformed likeness of several Cicada's each one baring that same jewel on their forehead but now they stood tall at perhaps ten feet in heighet their wingspans increased to accomidate the frightning size. The beak has been morphed as well becoming a sleek almost metallic looking maw that bore fifty needle pointed teeth and feathers that glinted as if they were knives ready to be thrown.
"Our weapons just aren't causing any damage to them!" A detective called out to his Captain as he paused to reload his handgun.
"Watch yourself it looks like they're after us now!" A Soilder warned as one of the Demonic dogs had its meal ripped away by a diving Bird and turned towards them saliva dyed a purple color flying from its lips as it charged the Barricade.
Time seemed to slow down as the beast leapt into the air easily clearing the Police car in its way and then began to descend upion a frightened looking inspector its beedy eyes wide with ravenous hunger as gravity brought it closer with each beat of an adrenline fueled heart. The world seemed to still though as a single shaft of bright light appearing to be a mix of Silver,Blue, and white struck the creature in the forehead or more precisely the gem on its brow.
The shocked peacekeepers stared in awe as the abomination screamed in pain thrashing even as it continued to fall before just seeming to evaporate into millions of tiny particles leaving behidn only the mangled remains of what appeared to have ocne been a healthy canine. Heads began to swivel seeking the weapon that had just saved one of their own and actually dealt the first enemy fatality since the onset of this battle.
A Single figure stood a hundred yards away from the barricade the stormy winds causing his white clothing to billow around him in a dramatic fashion his dark brown hair tosseled by the carress of moving air but his cobalt blue eyes were narrowed staring only at the demons he would battle. This boy of only fourteen or fifthteen could easily be dismised as the savior by the veterans had it not ben for the bow of light materialized around his left hand.
"Hey Ayase, Isn't that Ikari Shinji you know the Evangelion Pilot?" The cameraman asked in a low whisper keeping the lens trainned on the young man.
"This is Kumkida, we're enroute now try to keep the situation contained until we can arrive. Someone else has just stepped in? I see we will be there ASAP until then let's hope our young friend can deal with the situation. I have a very good idea who it is but He is alone this time and hasn't been doing this kind of work for a fair bit of time now. So you'll have the paperwork done by the time I land? Good Kumkida out."
"WHOA, NO WAY IS THAT SHINJI?!" Shigeru called out from his station as the entire Nerv Command staff stared at the main screen and the image of the Third Child upon it being broadcast live.
"None of this should even be scientifically possible" Ritsuko Akagi added in as she lit a cigerette to calm her nerves.
"We fight ANGEL's I guess it was only a matter of time before Demons started popping up." Hyuga joked pushing his glasses up.
"You're seeing it here live Ladies & Gentleman, Ikari Shinji Evangelion pilot of the secretive Nerv Oraganzation has just appeared on the scene dealing the first decesive blow to these Demons!" Ayase spokeas the camera remained focused on the usually shy boy.
"DIE!" two of the Cicada mutations screeched as they dived out of the sky streaking towards Shinji with the intent of ending his short life.
"Your first Aragami" he replied in a chilly tone his right hand pulling the bowstring back and creating another arrow out of thin air.
"YOU CAN'T HIT US BOTH SILLY HUMAN!" the left one cawed out in its shrill voice causing many to wince at the sound.
The cord composed of spiritual energy was released sending the projectile flying but as it took to the air it suddenly split into two new but smaller arrows that each found their mark in the avian freaks heads causing them to cry out in horrible agony before they like the dog before them dissolved into nothingness leaving behind only the twisted remains of a Cicada in their wake. No one noticed the small bead of sweat on Shinji's brow as he took a deep steadying breath before dismissing his bow and walking towards the barricade.
"If you have any flare guns use them these creature an't stand the bright light it will force them back into the weaker forms to absorb it then use whatever you wish but destroy the Blue Seed on their heads." Shinji ordered not even breaking his stride as he walked by the Vehechles his left hand reaching into the sleeve of his right and withdrawing several small slips of paper.
"Who the hell do you think you are giving us orders liek that kid?!" One of the policeman spoke up in anger.
"He's the guy saving your ass everyday come on Boy's let's back the Third Child up!" A section Two agent replied first ralleying his suit-clad compatriots.
'Those that are beyond Mercy but cannot be judged, I beseech thee to grant me the light in which to banish such foul abominations from this World. Gather to my hand and purify the tainted Shadows from the Darkness!' Shinji chanted mentally his eyes closed even as the six remainning devil dogs sprinted towards him.
"Tarnished Weaklings, BEGONE!" He yelled each of the slips of paper gainning a dark blue aura to them before he luanched them at the pack.
They flew straight as if made of study metal instead of wood pulp before vanishing into bolts of dark blue fire that surged ahead like guided missiles seeking out the Blue Seeds adorning the enemy. The opponents turned attempting to flee but it was too late as each blast of Holy energy struck them and instantly consumed them in flames of spiritual energy that devoured them until all that was left were a few piles of snow-white ash.
'It has been too long since I last did this I'm already feeling the strain of using so much Spiritual Power but these are just the cannon Fodder not the true enemy I have to keep going.' He thought continuing to walk down the street in search of more prey as above him the last three Demonic birds came screeching out of the sky at him.
"KID LOOK OUT!" The warning was called out only to be useless as the Ikari turned his Bow forming in an instant and three seperate shots being fired within a second nailing each of the agressors.
"There are even more out there keep everyone in-doors until help arrives!" He commanded before jogging away.
"It looks like our crisis has yet to be averted but this reporter for one feels safeier already knowing we have Ikari Shinji, Our Hero, Our Savior, and Our Angel once more portecting us." Ayase closed for the camera before squealing as the broadcast ended.

"Good Luck with that but I swear I know that kid and his Bow stance from somewhere" The cameraman mused as he moved back towards the Newsvan his enthusastic colleauge lost in her own little world.
I am laying on my back with a burning pain echoing outward from my right side but still I manage to smile as she stands over me her face marred in concern for mye life as she takes off her ribbon tie and uses it as a makeshift bandage applying presure to the wound. I smile at her despite the pain and she returns it slowly a look of gratitude mixed in with the concern and confusion in those green depths I can so easily be lost in.
"Why did you save me?" she asks finally as an ambulance approachs.
"Because it's my Duty, My purpose to fight these things and to save the beautiful Maidens they would devour." I whisper far to delerious from pain to revert to my usual Shy mutterings.

The ground beneath him suddenly shattered sending him into the as a massive form simply exploded from underground most likely having used the cities massive utility tunnels like a network of burrowed caverns. It was a collsal monstroity easily reaching six stories in height with a serpentine body that was thickly armored with scales. The Jewel upon its forehead was easily the size of compact car even as it let out a loud roar revealing row upon row of sharp teeth before it looked directly at him a deep baratone chuckle coming from between its lips.
"So you are the Foolish Human that has disrupted our attempt to draw out the Kushinada? You believe one such a syou can hope to stand in the way of our greatest Desire?" It spoke after its laugh its voice just as deep a baratone but easily echoing off the buildings around it.
"So you're the one in charge then? You must be very old to have such intelligance about you but this is where you die." Shinji calmly replied reaching into his left sleeve and withdrawing a Cermonial but still quite sharp knife, a moment later he ran the edge across his left hand allowing his blood to flow and coat the metal surface sparks of Dark blue energy appearing.
"You believe you can stand against me Foolish Man you will not survive this night!" It foresaw even as the Ground split and twelve green vines luanched themselves from the depths at Shinji.
The pure deadly grace bred long before he stepped into Eva-01 returned to him in that second as he spun on his feet lashing out at each tendril that sought him out the Cobalt sparks intensfying upon contact and splitting the enpowered plant-life like a hot knife through butter.They continued to come in increasing numbers but the agile Ikari was simply too good for them hacking away at each with little to no resistance meeting his every strike.
'This boy, he is not normal even for the Spiritually aware Humans there is something else about him, something powerful.' It thought watching the display with a critical eye.

Very nice addition. Shinji feeling a bit out of breath after so long not using his skills give a hint on how powerful he was before he began hiding them.
I really look forward to this story, its an interesting one, the mention of 'something other' about Shinji raises a few questions that will be fun to figure out.

THe obvious and over used plot device was that before being sent away Shinji underwent a little experimentation by Gendo (I have seen this plot device a few times. Sometimes Shinji is injected with the dna of Adam, other times Llith.) That points to Shinji being relativly normal before that point, with only the fact he comes from a line of spirutialists setting him apart.
The other question is whether one of his parents was a little more or less than human. If the Ikari's were not 100% human, it might explain his rapid growth in his Quincy and spiritual powers.
I read a fic a while ago that had Shinji had such a powerful soul that as a human he would eventually learn to use an AT field (An AT field is literally the light of the Angel's soul, which points to spiritual power, protecting itself from physical harm.) Hmm, Shinji realizing this and learning ot raise a AT field, though obviously not on the scale of protection the Angels enjoy...

very good the fallout from this should be spectacular though. as for theories in Evangelion they say that humans are the 18th angel but i always thought it made more sence that shinji is the 18th.

"My Family originally was a proud line of the Quincy or Kuinshi clan but we were exiled by our breathern for our beleifs and ironically this is what saved our bloodline from the genocidal extermination of the Shinigami. We do not involve ourselves in the matters of Soul Society, in fact we question its place as an afterlife and instead focus solely on the elmination of Demonic entities that cannot ever be purified of taint."
The dull gray sky swelled with moisture finally began to release the downpour covering the streets in a heavy rain and electric-blue bolts of lightning streak from cloud to cloud almost like an electrical circuit. The echoing sound of the rain did nothing to soothe Ikari Shinji's nerves as he stood facing the anicent Aragami that had orchestrated so many deaths that day for no other reason then to draw out the other Kushinada Kaede had spoken of so long ago.
"I must . . . . . My Future Calls . . . . . . . .But if something happens to me there is another Kushinada . . . . . . . Guard her carefully."
The Helplessness of failing someone you love. . . . . . . .
Memories echoed across the landscape of his mind invoking emotions he had long since repressed in hopes of forgetting the pain of his heart but faced with such an enemy no one can hide such things away. Saddness, Anger, resentment, loss, and Hate mixed together to create an unbridled fury within him equal only to the rage of a berzerk Evangelion but unlike the armoured beast his mind worked all the faster giving him options in which to use against this fore.
"Now is the time you die Human!" The Aragami announced opening its mouth wide and firing a literal wall of wooden spears at the young man.
The knife was lobbed into the air even as Shinji formed his bow on instinct his right hand quickly creating and then firing a single arrow that split into ten tiny crossbow bolt sized projectiles each one either destroying a spear or knockign it off course into some of the others. Sweat mixed with rain water his dark brown hair matted against his forehead even as he fired another arrow splitting it once again but still the attack was coming with plenty of ammunition to flay his fragile body.
"You were strong but just another Human all the same, AHH!!" The beast roared as the spears impacted kicking up a cloud of dust but even before it could disperse a burning pain lanced throughout its body.
The only son of Gendo & Yui Ikari stood panting in front of the massive demon his face marred with cuts, scrapes, and bruises but he was very much alive his knife piercing the beast's thick skin sending bursts of Dark blue energy jolting through its every nerve ending. Cobalt blue eyes were narrowed with a slight shine to them no one had ever seen before even as he pushed the blade in deeper with all his strength his face a mask of determination even as the Aragami reared its head back in a loud roar.
"Evil born of Twilight Shadow, By my blood I seal you to this spot ntil the hands of Oblivion grasp your spirit, That which binds you, That which enchains you, let this Blade make you stillas Stone!" Shinji chanted before throwing himself backwards away from the Aragami.

A single vine shot from the Araami's mouth at the same time shatter through its own mouth ther Blue Gem glowing brightly as it seemed to receed into the its own head right before the arrow struck. Instantly the body began to dissolve into nothingness releasing dead pieces of wood but still the plant streaked foreward the destructive light rushing along it tail attempting to catch it. Shinji screamed as the plant pierced the center of his chest only to open like a bud a second later and then pull away just as the light finally overtook it.
Shinji Ikari lay upon the ground being drenched by the falling rain the front of his Tunic and dress shirt ripped open revealing a single blue seed now implanted in the center of his chest. . . . . . .
"Kaede . . . . .I'm Sorry . . . . ." He whispered a single crystaline tear rolling down from his closed eyes.

Just a short one to get the wheels turning
The dull gray sky swelled with moisture finally began to release the downpour covering the streets in a heavy rain and electric-blue bolts of lightning streak from cloud to cloud almost like an electrical circuit. The echoing sound of the rain did nothing to soothe Ikari Shinji's nerves as he stood facing the anicent Aragami that had orchestrated so many deaths that day for no other reason then to draw out the other Kushinada Kaede had spoken of so long ago.
"I must . . . . . My Future Calls . . . . . . . .But if something happens to me there is another Kushinada . . . . . . . Guard her carefully."
The Helplessness of failing someone you love. . . . . . . .
Memories echoed across the landscape of his mind invoking emotions he had long since repressed in hopes of forgetting the pain of his heart but faced with such an enemy no one can hide such things away. Saddness, Anger, resentment, loss, and Hate mixed together to create an unbridled fury within him equal only to the rage of a berzerk Evangelion but unlike the armoured beast his mind worked all the faster giving him options in which to use against this fore.
"Now is the time you die Human!" The Aragami announced opening its mouth wide and firing a literal wall of wooden spears at the young man.
The knife was lobbed into the air even as Shinji formed his bow on instinct his right hand quickly creating and then firing a single arrow that split into ten tiny crossbow bolt sized projectiles each one either destroying a spear or knockign it off course into some of the others. Sweat mixed with rain water his dark brown hair matted against his forehead even as he fired another arrow splitting it once again but still the attack was coming with plenty of ammunition to flay his fragile body.
"You were strong but just another Human all the same, AHH!!" The beast roared as the spears impacted kicking up a cloud of dust but even before it could disperse a burning pain lanced throughout its body.
The only son of Gendo & Yui Ikari stood panting in front of the massive demon his face marred with cuts, scrapes, and bruises but he was very much alive his knife piercing the beast's thick skin sending bursts of Dark blue energy jolting through its every nerve ending. Cobalt blue eyes were narrowed with a slight shine to them no one had ever seen before even as he pushed the blade in deeper with all his strength his face a mask of determination even as the Aragami reared its head back in a loud roar.
"Evil born of Twilight Shadow, By my blood I seal you to this spot ntil the hands of Oblivion grasp your spirit, That which binds you, That which enchains you, let this Blade make you stillas Stone!" Shinji chanted before throwing himself backwards away from the Aragami.

A nice snippet. Shinji's tiredness after not using his powers for a fair while was interesting. I need to find some Blue Seed episodes to work out what the seads actually do (Can you actually PM me with a brief summary of what the seeds do. I remember vaugly that one of the main villains had seven seeds or something).
I assume that the seed is separate to that thing that marked Shinji apart from other humans, even spiritually aware ones. Hmm this is interesting.

Actually I have been and more importantly the Mecha designs for Project KNIGHT to employ which led me to this idea in an odd way as I started looking back to one of my favorite Anime's.
Anyway let's get to work and at the start this will come off as a little confusing so bear with me.

A pair of cobalt blue eyes opens to a world of yellow-orange liquid that seemed to have turned a dirty pink in the darkened confines as a young man of fourteen lifted his head revealing a pair of odd white clips nestled in his dark brown hair. A hum of power and machinery working at its lowest possible levels filled his ears sounding like electricity running through a power line. The teenager was dressed in a skin tight purple bodysuit with the chest and shoulders being white and baring a black æ01Æ in the center. He simply sat there quiet for a moment before he suddenly began to panic his body thrashing about causing bubbles to form in the liquid as it was disturbed.
ôThe water is getting is getting cloudy. The purification system is breaking down!ö the boy spoke fearfully slamming his eyes shut and bringing his hands to his mouth.
ôIt smells in here, blood it smells like blood!ö the boy yelled his panic seeming to grow as he reached up pounding on the top of his prison trying to get the latch open but it remained locked against his attempts.
ôLet me out . . . . . please someone tell me whatÆs going on . . .. . . . Why canÆt I get this lock open? . . . . . . Misato, Ritsuko, Asuka, Ayanami . . . . . . Father . . . . . . Please someone help me.ö He spoke banging on the solid canopy with his fists yelling but slowly he seemed to drain of his energy and just slump forward in his seat.
"Come to me."
A Warm light began to pass through him.
"A world filled only with pain & suffering awaited me on the other side of the light as Humanity was torn in two fighting a bitter war for control of the Earth and in which the ANGELS I had spent my most recent times fighting became little more then artifacts from an alien culture long since lost to the plant but these machines in turn were the entire basis for the fighting. The Second Impact that had scorned the world of my birth had never occurred here but still many had already died caught in the crossfire between the two warring factions."
"The people I had come to know all seemed to exist here but the familiar faces were blank in my presence leaving me along in the fortress city my father had called me too months ago and soon I was pulled into the fighting as both sides mistook my Unit-01 for an enemy Mecha. It wasn't long before the Evangelion ran out of power its A.T. Field useless for some reason against the weapons their own Mecha employed and I was captured led through the Halls of the complex I had known as Nerv until at last i came before my judge."

"Supreme Commander Gendo Ikari, leader of the SEELE Committee that had broken away from the United Nations in the wake of the discovery of the Artifact Technology and through the use of their fortune was able to establish a separate Country that in turn declared War on the Earth. Many governments were quickly swayed into joining the group swelling the ranks of their Army and other territories that lacked defensive power were blitzed daily leaving the UN no choice but to allow them to be conquered.
"There was no Shinji Ikari of this world I soon discovered leaving me to question my own existence but as those thoughts began to consume me Dr. Yui Ikari & her husband Gendo used the turmoil I felt in order to make me into a Pilot for their faction, those people as evil as I found my Father to be they were infinitely worse and at the time I was too blind to see it. Eighteen months I spent as their weapon striking down the forces of the United Nations Earth Defense Force simply because they asked it of me but as long as I was able to lie to myself about the happiness I felt and the love I received the death didn't seem to matter."
"It was in the last six months in which the truth finally lifted the veil over my eyes and I chose to switch sides taking with me the engine of destruction they had created for me out of my Unit-01 and the skills they had implanted in my mind were turned against them. The war had just started to turn in our favor when they unleashed a new artifact weapon on me, Leliel I can vaguely remember it as the ANGEL I fought two years ago but the experiments have left my mind hazy in regards to those times but the confusion was enough for it to draw me in, leaving me in a cold world of Red."

The azure heavens were divided as trails of thick white smoke marked the path taken by several large objects forged from composite materials shaped in the likeness of wings and painted a dull black color but these metallic birds did not signal a migration instead they waited for the moment in which they would rain fire from the sky. Towers of steel rose from the streets but in turn were shadowed by the monolithic forms of two giants, one red like with blood with four eyes and a sapphire giant with a single eye that marked it almost like the Cyclops from the myths of ancient Greece.
Floating in the sky before the two massive humanoid beasts was a sphere of white & black giving it the appearance of a zebra or perhaps a ball that would be found in the hands of a child but even these twin demons would make no move to pluck the sphere from the sky. It was here in the silence of the calm before the battle that the earth began to rumble causing the street to roll like the waves of the ocean and small pieces of concrete to be broken away under the force sending it flying into the air.
"What the hell is that?" A redhead cries from her seat deep inside the head of the crimson beast.
The ground began to bulge upwards as if something was trying desperately to force its way out from the confines it found itself in and like the tearing strands of fabric in a cloth bag the terrain began to buckle causing the shadow that swept along the empty streets to mimic the change in the surroundings. As if affected by the change in the environment the two-toned sphere began to tremble its surface visibly rippling with vibrations and an echoing screech like an animal in pain seemed to fill the air.
"What's going on?" Demanded a purple haired woman standing in a hastily prepared command center atop a nearby building.
"We don't know!" A glasses wearing technician yelled in reply his hands flying across the terminal in front of him.
"All of our meters & gages are going off the scale!" Continued a young woman with dark hair that was cut short dressed in the same uniform and working at a similar station.
"But we haven't even done anything yet!" A fuax blonde standing next to the operations director her form wreathed in a white lab coat.
"Do you think it could be Shinji?" Misato called out turning to the woman standing on her right.
"Impossible, Unit-01's power must be at Zero by now." She replied in a yell to be heard over the noise.
A roar split the air as the surface of the ball shook violently its coloring shifting to a solid black and an instant later the section to the left of those watching burst open in a spray of crimson as an arm coated in the fluid extended into the open its metallic fingers uncurling from their position in a fist before retreating back into the confines of its prison. Gasps could be heard over the crackle of the communications system as a single glowing red eye became visible in the darkness before a pair of metallic hands tipped with claws latched on to the sides of the ANGEL and began to literally tear it in two.
It was humanoid in appearance constructed completely out of a type of metal no one could identify at first glance, it was modeled after a suit of armor in design with broad shoulders and a thick torso with a ribbon of black extending from the back of its head falling to just about its ankles, it was as tall as the two Evangelion units before it but covering in so much blood that a paint scheme couldn't be seen and while it was similar to them ti was at the side completely alien to all those that looked upon it. Arms stretched out to the sides as the enemy attempted to stave off the inevitable end to its existence and as the head was turned to the sky the struggle came to and as the opponent's structure was rended leaving it to fall in bloody tatters.
"Mien Gott, what is that thing?" Asuka whispered with wide eyes as the form descended to the ground.
'My Hands, my hands are trembling. Does this mean I am frightened?' Rei thought staring at her shaking fingers in curiosity.
"It ripped the ANGEL apart from the inside out, what kind of demon is this?" Ritsuko Akagi spoke up from her place observing the battle.
"Asuka, D can you hear me?"
The voice that flowed from the speakers was the familliar vocals of Shinji Ikari btu at the same time it was different, colder as if the caring that existed in his heart had been carved out slowly with a knife and possessing a strength to it that had once only fear. Upon the screens his face appeared but not it had was changed, those cobalt blue eyes that appeared so lost in this life had been replaced by a lighter shade of blue that seemed to sparkle, dark brown hair that was like his father's had become a deep midnigth black but still remained in the same style and the face had lost what little tan it once held.
"Shinji is that really you?" Misato cried into the microphone her eyes tearing up in that moment.
"Katsuragi? So you're the one they sent to oversee the battle, Asuka, D can you hear me please respond." The statement had been heated as if the operations director held all of the boy's contempt.
"Idiot I'm right in front of you, what doesn't that tin can have eyes?" The second child called out in response.
"The Unit is different, why are you using an outdated model I don't remember you going into the battle with t." He was confused and it showed his voice losing a little of its authority.
"OUTDATED, WHAT DID YOU JUST SAY THIRD?!"
"That's enough, fall back to the lift sights and prepare for transport back to Nerv we'll do with these events there." Dr Akagi stated taking the microphone away from her old friend.
"Dr Akagi, no if your here then that means, I WON'T GO BACK!"
Abruptly the video feed was cut short and the audio faded into static as the mysterious device before them turned darting away from the sight of the battle retreating further into the city its form crouching low as it ran allowing it to use the buildings for cover. A stunned silence washed over the area as the unit vanished between the building the thundering noises of its every step still clear though but leaving little means with which to track its movements.
'Akagi's presence here means those robots are experimental prototypes so I can't just attack without knowing what they're capable of doing, the design looks like a match for the Unit-00 & Unit-02 of my old world though. She must have developed them based on the history I was forced to tell her before the experiments but how are they controlling Asuka?'
"Maya are those bombers still in the air?" The head of Project demanded a moment later.
"Yes, theyÆre in a holding pattern over the city awaiting order."
"Tell them to perform visual recognizance for the Machine."
"What could be wrong with Shinji, he sounded scared when he heard your voice Rits." Misato put in watching as the technicians went to work.
"I'm not exactly sure but the Sea of Dirac must have had some sort of effect on his mind, if the changes to his body and Unit-01 are anything to go by it could be anythingö she replied as the communication system was switched to a point they didn't need to use the hand held microphone anymore.
"Asuka Rei, we're going to be giving you his location your time subdue Pilot Ikari with as little damage as possible."
"Got it."
"Yes."
"D, D if you can hear this transmission please respond or use it to trace my signal Asuka is being controlled by the enemy do not trust her1"
"What does he mean 'controlled by the enemy'?" The purple haired major mused as the two EVA Units began to move.
"I'm not exactly sure but I think we can use it to our advantage."
The rumble of the terrain from each new step his enemy took as it drew closer echoed in his ears almost like the beating of a heavy drum but still he waited the bulky form of his Mecha hidden behind a building its right hand randomly clenching into a fist. It was the crimson robot passed him by that he struck, instantly standing and wrapping his arms around the unit locking in a hold that restrained it from attacking even as it struggled in vain.
"Asuka, you have to believe me Akagi is controlling you through this machine please stop fighting me I don't want to hurt you." He said opening the channel once again as he plead with the girl.
'There is no way I can forcibly drag her to a safe point, if she doesn't snap out of it I will have no choice but to leave her behind."
" . . . . . Shinji . . . what's happening . . . I-I don't know what's happening . . . . . I'm scared . . . . . ." The strained voice filled his ears the video feed not connecting and the form going limp in his machine's arms.
"It's alright, do you know if the other unit is being piloted by D or someone else?" He asked looking around for the Blue robot.
"No . . . . . They still have D . . . . . . . They threatened me with D's life if I didn't get into the cockpit . . . . . . The other Pilot is Ayanami.ö
'Damn you Ritsuko I hate acting like this and for Shinji of all people!'

Abruptly the video feed was cut short and the audio faded into static as the mysterious device before them turned darting away from the sight of the battle retreating further into the city its form crouching low as it ran allowing it to use the buildings for cover. A stunned silence washed over the area as the unit vanished between the building the thundering noises of its every step still clear though but leaving little means with which to track its movements.
'Akagi's presence here means those robots are experimental prototypes so I can't just attack without knowing what they're capable of doing, the design looks like a match for the Unit-00 & Unit-02 of my old world though. She must have developed them based on the history I was forced to tell her before the experiments but how are they controlling Asuka?'

The rumble of the terrain from each new step his enemy took as it drew closer echoed in his ears almost like the beating of a heavy drum but still he waited the bulky form of his Mecha hidden behind a building its right hand randomly clenching into a fist. It was the crimson robot passed him by that he struck, instantly standing and wrapping his arms around the unit locking in a hold that restrained it from attacking even as it struggled in vain.
"Asuka, you have to believe me Akagi is controlling you through this machine please stop fighting me I don't want to hurt you." He said opening the channel once again as he plead with the girl.
'There is no way I can forcibly drag her to a safe point, if she doesn't snap out of it I will have no choice but to leave her behind."
" . . . . . Shinji . . . what's happening . . . I-I don't know what's happening . . . . . I'm scared . . . . . ." The strained voice filled his ears the video feed not connecting and the form going limp in his machine's arms.
"It's alright, do you know if the other unit is being piloted by D or someone else?" He asked looking around for the Blue robot.

I know long on confusion short on action but that's how I wanted to write it and I still need to get backt o sued to NGE Again.
The next snippet will explain things better and the truth will be revealed, along with more confusion I bet and some action.
After reading my last attempt I have decided that it was too rushed without any of the polish or work my ideas usually need, for that I am deeply sorry it was a mistake but one I am happily able to repair.
The idea was solid but it needed to be evolved some and a lot more thought put into it which I have done.

An endless sea of crimson & orange seemingly frozen in time embraced the armored form squeezing almost lovingly as it drawn deeper into the depths of the thick liquid the remains of a heavy electric cable swaying in the natural current like a tail as it descended. Its scent was that of an exposed piece of copper left out in a heavy fall of rain giving a person the sense that they were floating in an ocean of blood but it seemed as if the monstrous being wreathed in the purple metal could not tell such a difference.
This beast was known by Humanity as Synthetic humanoid fighting machine Evangelion Unit One, a bio-mechanical weapon that was created to fight an invading force known as ANGELS that supposedly sought the destruction of the Human race in the aftermath of the tragedy known as Second Impact. These instruments of destruction were bound to the will of a child, a selective child that had the ability to synchronize with the Evangelion becoming the will that guided it in the battles against the ANGELS.
A boy of perhaps fourteen years with dark brown that appeared both neat & unruly in some ways and Cobalt blue eyes that seemed to hold an endless sorrow sat quietly in the seat immersed totally in a strange liquid that did not seem to restrict his ability to draw breath. Dressed in a strange skintight bodysuit of purple with a white chest section baring a black '01' marking on the upper portion the boy seemed drained of life as if even keeping his fingers closed around the two yokes in front of him was eating away at his precious energy.
The almost imperceptible noise of machinery working filled his ears offering a momentary distraction to his deprived senses but it was also the low hum of electricity passing through the circuits around him that reminded him of his predicament, even with every unnecessary system in a state of shut down the amount of power he had would soon be used up. For a single moment in time the youth was silent his body completely still before suddenly he began to thrash randomly as a state of panic overwhelmed him, each movement creating a visible disturbance in the liquid.
"The water is getting cloudy, the purification system is breaking down!" The boy cried in alarm his eyes slamming shut and a set of large bubbles flowing from his mouth as he spoke.
"It smells in here, Blood it smells like Blood!"
Desperation seemed to grow from the fear in his heart as he attempted to pry a latch open in the ceiling of his small space and once that seemed to fail his hands clenched tightly into fists making the material enclosing them to squelch loudly even as he began to heatedly pound on the metal his eyes wide in panic with each useless moment that passed. Cobalt blue were filled now with a myriad of emotions as adrenaline pumped through his veins urged on by the sense of danger the brain was imparting to the body.

"Please someone, anyone tell em what's going on, why can't I get this lock to open?"

"Please someone help me" time wasted and energy spent the youth sagged silently back into his seat.

All that existed within the sea was subject to its sight but few things could survive for long here and life was soon drawn from those capable living them no time to thrive.
Observing each subject that was drawn into its body was the only true distraction from the endless stillness that its body created but even if this creature had existed longer then any other it could see the slowly creepy abyss that would send its body into the same cycle of silence as everything else. Releasing the creature was not an option, this one has proven adapt in defying their primary function and destroying the others before the objective could be reached.
Leaving it to simply cease was not an appealing outcome either but faced with its own termination or the completion of its task the only logical path was this one, given time this life form would have discovered a flaw in its design too exploit but now the others it could sense would also seek its destruction. A feeling, nothing more then a spike in the energy that formed its body registered to its mind but the sensation had been felt too late as a light wrapped about the creature blocking the life form contained within from its sight before both were drawn away.

'Why am I always wrong?' He mused as the darkness swept into his vision like an evening tide and dragged his mind back out allowing him to slip into the blissful numbness of unconsciousness.
Time held no meaning in such a state but even if one cannot judge the lapse after it has finished awareness will return whether the one drawn into it is ready to be awakened or not, for Shinji Ikari this time came as something wet struck his face the harsh cold stinging his skin and forcing his idle mind back into alert. Sputtering the water from his mouth the youth designated as the Third Child tried to move his hands to wipe his eyes only to find them bound behind his back by a set of metallic cuffs that bit into his flesh painfully.

Buried in the snow protected by a wall of thick ice lay the intact form of a Bio-mechanical life form and the ruptured form of the vessel that had brought it to our world so long ago."

"So basically we have a Child of questionable origins piloting a Robot that is completely useless by current standards?" It seemed as if the cold-hearted man had made a decision with that statement.

Both turned to face Yui as she spoke those words her eyes dancing with a sick sort of amusement as a grin seemed to spread across his face hinting at the wicked things that must have danced in the recesses of her mind and it was easy for the two to see how such a woman had brought down several senior members of the SEELE to facilitate a rise in power for herself and her paramour. The innocent position of contemplative thought her right index fingers tapping lightly at her chin did nothing to disillusion the pair of the woman's genius most likely being applied in an angle neither would actively seek.
"What are you thinking?" Gendo questioned his eyes giving away nothing behind the lens of his glasses.
"Sempai?" Ritsuko blinked as the woman began walking towards the door without so much as a word only turning her head to them once she firmly grasped the knob.
"Ritsuko I'd like you too begin construction on anew model for this boy, base the design on Artifact Zero but make sure it is at the very least on the same level as Rei's Unit."

"I haven't had the chance for some real experimentation in a long time and a Mother is supposed to look after her Son after all."
