Mobile suits would be able to fit through the gate intact.

That's not to say that they couldn't be transported through in pieces and assembled on other planets, but you're not going to have a combat-ready mech moments after it's stepped through the gate.

A Tactical Armour, or VOTOM or whatever the mechs from Blue Gender are called, however would be a much more believable option.
The SGC and the A.D. Police Vs Largo the super boomer system lord. :rip1:

SG1 meets Gekko state.

When the paxis on the Nervana overloaded they reappeared over earth during Anubis's siege. Vandred Stargate

The SDF-2 Megaroad-01 Finally finds it way back to Earth.
Sadly they ended up at the wrong Earth.

Not sure if this deserves its own thread or not, so here it is:

Around mid-Season Two (between Bane and The Tok'ra, Part 1), SG-1 is sent out in a tel'tak (stolen from some System Lord, when they were cut off from the 'Gate) to survey Saturn's moon, Mimas, which is the only large moon in the Sol system not found on the Goa'uld astrogational chart discovered by J. Random Archaeologist. When they get there, their scans determine that its no moon, its a space station!

A space station covered in a few thousand years of rocks and dust. It contains a few hundred million droids (shut down to conserve power), a few million mummified corpses, about a million TIE fighters (mostly TIE/lns), and assorted other Imperial spacecraft, up to a single Executor-class SSD. There's also a Jedi Holocron in the station commander's office that responds to O'Neill, but insists he's to old to begin training.

This Death Star has internal manufacturing systems, drydocks, et cetra, and they'll be able to get a few of the shuttles working fairly quickly. It arrived in the SG-verse due to a hyperdrive malfunction that killed the crew.

So, given the SGC's personnel limitations, and the huge personnel requirements of the larger Imperial ships, how much use can they get out of this, and how does it affect subsequent events?
It's been done. Point of fact, I think you /knew/ it had been done, because I've seen you on SB.

Its been done as a vs debate, and someone is doing one with one ISD (with a living, and rather quirky crew) and some freighters. Not the same thing.

I'm pretty sure I saw one in Creative Writing just a week or two ago, but don't mind me.

All told, it /is/ a very interesting idea, and bears the question "Who built it, and how the hell did it get here."

Especially as most scifi shows exist within stargate continuity. With that in mind, my money's on Janus, the only smart ancient.

oh lets see here:

SG-1/Ghost in the shell: Team arrives on a planet technologicaly similar to earth, save a few decades ahead of us in the way of cybernetics research.

When the team walks though the gate, they find themselves in a research lab that had been previously underseige from terrorists planning on stealing the research notes on the gate, as they thought it was some previously unknown type of superconductor and thought the plans could be valuable to the right bidder.

Unfortunatly, they had been wiped out by section 9, who had been sent in to mop up the scene due to all the high technology in the facility.

So when the gate activates, and the probe rolls out, the first thing it encounters is a tachikoma, which causes a great deal of confusion to both sides, as the Tachikoma thinks the probe is some form of AI robot and the SGC can't make heads or tails of what the tachikoma is.

When the Tachi starts calling for the major to come see what it's found, things roll on from there.

Here is a data file I wrote for a Stargate/Evangelion crossover I tried, but lost interest in. Free to a good home. I must admit, my main motivation was in getting DSC-304s equipped with positron cannons, and the NERV staff in the SGC, but I think it's a cool idea myself.

~Name: Seikin (translated roughly as "Genesis" in English)
~SGC Designation: P18-E11
~Primary Ethnic Group(s): Japanese, Germanic/Celtic, Gaelic, Cantonese, Vietnamese, Slavic, Mongolian, Persian, Arabic, Hindu, Egyptian, Grecian, Roman, Hebrew.
~Major Nation(s): Nihongo, Etnos Akratias ("Unanimously Governed States"), Hessian, Gauland, Unicameral, Neuria, Aryanas.
~Technological Level: 20+ years Modern Earth (not including Evangelion-derived tech)
~Political System: Capitalist semi-Collectivist Democracy (actually a crypto-fascist regime under the organization SEELE)
~Population: 2.8 billion
~Dominant language(s): Nihongese (evolved form of Ancient Japanese with some Romantic influence)/Etnogish (Romantic/Germanic language with Catonese influence, somewhat similar to Glosa on Earth). Ancient (an early version of Latin) is also used, but only by SEELE and select NERV personnel. Goa'uld is still spoken in a number of remote regions.

Approximately three point five million years ago the Alterran cityship now known as the 'Geofront' landed on the planet Genesis. Judging by the planet's relative position and datafile in the Ancient Database, it served as the "Eastern Capital" world of the Alterran's Milky Way empire. Stationed facing the Sol system almost directly across the Galactic Core, it was a center of commerce, diplomacy and scientific discovery.

However, after nearly 400,000 years of peace and prosperity, the second wave of the Ori plagues hit the Ancients, most likely sent from the Ori home galaxy via Stargate. The Alterran city-ship Atlantis evacuated all those not-affected within Earth's range and left for the Pegasus galaxy, while the Geofront and the Eastern half of the Alterran Empire tried to battle the plague as best they could.

Dozens of attempts to cure the plague were attempted, from time machines, to galactic terraforming systems. Ultimately, the largest and most ambitious project was undertaken on Genesis, a program the Ancients codenamed "Third Impact".

Third Impact would have partially ascended all life in the galaxy through the Stargate network, into a form of primordial "soup". Again through the Stargates this soup would be drawn to Genesis and reformed into a singular superbeing, free from death, starvation or human suffering. It was felt that this would be the final step in the Alterran's evolution. Eventually, the plague's spread soon reduced the Third Impact team to seventeen scientists/volunteers, fifteen of which attempted small-scale versions of Third Impact on themselves. They were able to evolve themselves into several different, advanced forms of humanity, all partially-ascended and immune to the Ori's plagues. However, they could not achieve the same thing on a planetary, much less galactic scale. The leader of the project, codenamed Adam, theorized that fusing himself with one of the other volunteers while ascending, and dialing every Stargate in the galaxy simultaneously, could provide enough raw power to initiate the transformation. Unfortunately, his first attempt with his mate (codenamed "Lillith") backfired, reducing all of the partially-ascended Ancients to embryotic stages of their current forms, and twisting Adam and Lillith into huge, partially-ascended monsters. The Alterrans would later call them "Angels", which in their language translated to "messengers of failed gods".

In a mad rage Adam attempted to destroy Genesis and all the Ancients left on it, before trying to finish what he'd began by spreading Third Impact to the rest of the galaxy. Lillith and other Ancients managed to capture him in a huge containment system at Genesis's southern pole, but it was found that Adam would not be held for long as he was. Lillith volunteered to imprison herself in a similar containment vessel in an area of Genesis now called Nihongo. In Lillith's case, however, the raw energy her body produced as a result of her transformation would serve as a counter-balance to Adam, keeping both imprisoned (hopefully) forever. The fifteen other partially-ascended Ancients were placed in specially-prepared containment vessels of their own all over Genesis before the Ancients finally abandoned the world, to be awakened in case Adam was ever freed in order to support Lillith against him.

Over three million years later, in the Earth year 2,800 BC, the Gou'ald discovered Genesis. It was very similar to Earth, but much closer to the Gou'ald holdings on the other side of the galaxy. Therefore, a number of Gou'ald used the planet as a "ranch", bringing large groups of humans to different parts of the planet to be bred into potential hosts, Jaffa, or slaves. A group of humans on Nihongo discovered the Geofront, interpreting it's existence as proof that the Gou'ald were not their true gods. This group of humans formed an organization known as SEELE, and over the course of two hundred years learned how to operate the Geofront's weapon systems and drive the false gods from Genesis.

Millenia passed. The humans on Genesis created nations and empires, based upon the cultures they were originally from. They grew and warred with eachother, forgetting the Goa'uld, all the while SEELE unlocked more and more of the secrets of the Ancients. SEELE read the history of the Alterrans, and of the goals of the Third Impact project. They looked around at the people on their world fighting and dying, and decided to try and finish what the Ancestors had began. Behind the scenes they took power, manipulated the politics of their world, until they developed sufficiently advanced technology to explore their planet's southern pole. SEELE sought to free Adam so that they could begin Third Impact.

Unfortunately, in their arrogance their scientists released Adam, causing a catastrophic explosion known as "Second Impact". First Impact was Adam's rampage, the remaining evidence of it's occurance being chalked up to a natural disaster over three million years ago that supposedly let humans evolve on Genesis. Adam's power, held in check by the containment system and Lillith for so long, was released uncontrollably. It left Adam as a primitive embryo, much like the other Angels. The containment system had been designed to revive the other Angels if Adam had been freed, but it only had enough power to restore one at a time to their full strength. Also, as Adam was reduced to an embyro like the other Angels, the system did not regard him as an immediate threat. If however, Adam was returned to full power and attempted Third Impact again, the Angels would be awakened and would move to stop him.

SEELE, aware of this thanks to the Geofront database, decided that this was not acceptable. Using their infleunce behind the scenes, they created the organization Gehrin (later renamed NERV) with financial support from the primary nations on Genesis with the goal of preventing another disaster like Second Impact. In reality, NERV's true goal was to facilitate SEELE causing Third Impact (codenamed the Human Instrumentality Project), through the use of biomechanical versions of the Angels cloned from Lillith (still held within her containment vessel beneath the Geofront) and Adam (recovered from Genesis's southern pole). With these Angel clones (named Evangelions) piloted by human children (as Second Impact had caused every child born thereafter to possess an ATA, or Ancient Technology Activation gene), SEELE and NERV hoped to lure each Angel to the Geofront one at a time to be killed, so that they could not interfere with Third Impact.

14 years after Second Impact, NERV was able to use Lillith's containment vessel to send a false alarm to the Angels, essentially indicating that Adam was trying to break into the Geofront to join with Lillith and enact Third Impact. The Angels began to be sent, one at a time due to power restraints, and one by one they were killed, unable to warn their siblings of the trap awaiting them. SG-1 made first contact with NERV through the Geofront's Stargate after the defeat of the Eighth Angel, and were observers for the most part up to the final battle. They were able to uncover the truth of NERV and SEELE's mission, and with the help of the Eva pilots tried to prevent Third Impact. SG-1 was successful in keeping 3I from spreading through the Stargate network to the rest of the galaxy, but were unable to prevent the event on Genesis itself. The massive energy release destroyed Genesis's biosphere and halted all geological activity in the planet, as it transformed every living person on the surface (aside from those within Evangelions) into partially-ascended primordial "soup". This "soup" was gathered up in the hands of a new, partially-ascended being formally known as Rei Ayanami, who had grown to an enormous size after fusing with Adam's embryo and Lillith.

It was Shinji Ikari, the pilot of the Evangelion Unit 01, who was able to abort Third Impact by giving every person who became part of the partially-ascended superbeing the choice to stay within Instrumentality, or leave it. Of the billions who entered Instrumentality, only a few thousand (including SG-1) have left so far. The SGC has helped the survivors colonize a new homeworld called Shin Seiken (Neo-Genesis), and have set up Genesis's Stargate by the so-called Dead Sea of partially-ascended humans, so that every person who chooses to leave Instrumentality can simply dial Neo-Genesis and rejoin their friends and family.

As for the records and files on the extraordinary events that occurred on Genesis, most were destroyed in SEELE's assault on the Geofront just before Third Impact. The only known video recordings of Third Impact itself, taken from the SGCS Columbia sent to Genesis to help SG-1, have since been classified top secret by the SGC. All additional records, documents, and files related to SEELE, HIP and Third Impact have been confiscated by the US military. As for the Evangelions, it is known that at least one mass-production model was sent to Area 51 for study. The fates of the other thirteen units remains top secret.

Besides the goa'uld out there, there are also the symbiots. (from spiderman)

They are of course going to be a group of symbiots like the tok'ra goa'uld.

Symbiots also have a genetic memory. They also enhance their hosts with genetic info from other previous hosts.
On the other hand their reproduction rate is much lower. (Not keeping with the one child per symbiot thing.) (Queen goa'uld can produce much offspring.)

How would the timeline change if there was a war on between the goa'uld and symbiots when jackson, o'neill and his team come into the picture?

1/symbiote isn't something definite.

Remember that venom was heavily damaged when someone else got a hold of the symbiote and extracted materials to make the ones that eventually merged into Hybrid (as well as Shriek).

Most likely, it's just a longer term process where the intention is to have time to raise the later generations rather than a mass spawning. This would also allow the "parent" symbiote to have time to find a suitable host for the newborn.

However, Venom was probably young to start with and had no clue how it was working post everything that happened to it before it spawned Carnage, and well, Carnage is a lunatic thanks to Cassidy who was the first available host.

Daniel couldn't decide which was worse; the looks of boredom or the looks of disbelieving amusement. True to his persistant and stalwart nature, he continued onwards with his speech, delving into the geological and the archeological in order to justify his theories. "... and so that, ladies and gentlemen, is why I believe that the pyramids of Egypt were built by extra-terrestials." His audience of respected professors and experts, justifiably, laughed.

Worse than that, people were leaving; shaking their heads and muttering about how this lecture Daniel had organised from the remnants of his funding, the last if his backers would have anything to say about it, was a waste of their time. With each jeering word or leaving member of the audience, Daniel slowly felt himself sink into despair until he slumped to the floor and sat with his feet dangling over the edge of the raised stage staring out at an empty lecture theatre.

He found himself glaring at his diligently collected notes; all evidence pointing towards his, ironically, otherworldly theories. He didn't understand it; if people could believe in the likes of Spider-man why couldn't they- he cut off his thought to look up at the sound of echoing footsteps, heavy and assured, prowling towards him through the empty chamber. The man was tall and well built and all Daniel could think that marred his otherwise perfect physique was an eye-patch covering his left eye.

"Dr Jackson," he said.

"Erm... yes?"

"It wasn't a question."

"Right... er... who-"

"I'm Nick Fury, of SHIELD. I'm here to talk to you about some of those theories of yours."
...

dun dun duuuuunnn!

So... got the idea from the above; Marvel/SG1 fusion. SGC run by SHIELD, thoughts?

A couple random addon ideas: the Hulk created by testing with naquadah enhanced nukes. Jack's 'mission gone bad' in s02e04 'The Gamekeeper' involved Omega Red. Captain America going through the Stargate in the 1940's only to be lost until 'the torment of tantalus' episode (supersoldier serum made him effectively immortal). The Goa'uld fighting for galactic dominance with the various Marvelverse aliens. Tony Stark trying to charm Carter.

Oh, that sounds like rather a lot of fun.

Not sure how much it would help against orbiting motherships, but on a planet? Goa'uld and Jaffa are screwed. Bitches can't take Spidey, Avengers or Iron Tech SG teams.

I think some actual viable competition in the Skrull etc might give the goa'uld the kick in the backside needed to actually militarise their quasi-feudal empire. Likewise the advancement in technology provided to Earth through Starktech and the various other billionaire geniuses (genii?) would allow Earth to still stand tall and cause havoc like they usually do. Sudden thought: Fantastic Four - manipulated clones made by Loki. :snigger:

With Tony Stark added to the mix, Earth's tech level would probably explode upwards considering what he is capable of making.

Energy swords anyone?

The Nanoha fanfiction Thread in Animesuki had a somewhat decent SG-1 cross that was abandoned after the 11th chapter. Short though.

Visitors Stargate and Nanoha, also multicross Supernatural Taisen in the spirit of Super Robot Wars, so far has Nanoha, Stargate, Gargoyles, Hellsing, Project A-ko, Harry Dresden, Negima, DC Universe, Godzilla, Ultraman, various Super Robots (Mostly Mazinger and related works) plus a few more I don't recognize.

One idea that I've had is that Lightspeed ops is assigned to the SGC post Lightspeed Rescue and the fall of the Aquabase.

Having the capability to create Power Ranger abilities and hand them out to teams, not to mention later on they could share tech with the Silver Guardians.

Can anyone not see the Time Force team suddenly having a WTF moment when alien weaponry starts popping up to stop the monsters...

We sure need some kind of Stargate Corps/SG Oneger. That might just about qualify.

Can I assume that's the latest post? I'll be damned if I'm going to look through 600+ pages to find anything posted afterwards.

The Red Team from Team Fortress 2, as a large SG team. The Pyro might not be human, in this one.

Clearly, they're not an exploration team.

Not exactly a COMPLETE Marvel crossover, but an AU diverging from the episode Thor's Chariot.

It would be something about how instead of getting a real time connection to a Roswell Grey, Daniel manages to contact with movie Thor who reacts with outrage to the news of Goa'uld invading a world under HIS personal protection.

And when the Jaffa are taking SG1 back to Heru'ur's campsite instead of a hammer-shaped spaceship, out of the clouds appears the Bifrost (which would be a more advanced/refined/powerful form of the same technology used in the Stargates) and out come Thor + Warriors Three + Sif to kick ass and take names.

Other than the Asgardians being the genuine article and the fallout that results, Earth would remain the same as canon Stargate.
