I've been trying to find Fire Emblem: Fuuin no Tsurugi. No luck so far beyond the Japanese version (and patch? Haven't found any patch for it...).

-Super Mario World
Of course, no such list would be complete without it.

-Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask
All right, most people didn't like this one but it's my all time Zelda favorite so I'm glad to see someone else besides me enjoyed this game.

-Baten Kaitos: Eternal Wings and Lost Ocean
Was looking at this one when it came out but never got it, but I might now that I know it's got the GH Seal Of Approval. ;)

-Twisted Metal
Just number one or all four? Or maybe just certain ones throughout the series?

XBOX

-Knights of the Old Republic
-Knights of the Old Republic II
-Otogi: Myth of Demons
Good to see an XBOX list without 'Halo' in it, a man after my own heart. :p :D

-Jak & Daxter 2
What? No Jak 3? I loved that game, c'mon, it's gotta' be in there.

So anyway I suppose I should toss in a few recommendations so here we go.

FAIL.

People, just because a game is Squaresoft, doesn't mean it'll automatically be good. I could see a small case being made for FFX, but FFVIII has plotholes the size of Alabama in it, and KH has the two biggest losers in Disney as permanent party members... why Donald and not the infinitely more badass Uncle Scrooge McDuck? Why Goofy and not a cooler Disney character like, say, Beast?

EDIT: Oh well, to each his own. I still think those nominations are shaky at best, but seeing how otherwise you just suggested quality stuff, I'll just suck it up.

Bah, I suggested all those because I honestly liked those games, not just because they were Squaresoft games, if that were the case I would have put every FF in and the new KH (which I haven't played yet) so I'm obviously not adding games just because they're Squaresoft. And I knew when I put up FFVIII that you'd have something to say about it but frankly I don't give a damn if you don't like it, it was my favorite one out of the entire series so I'll recommend it if I damn well please.

Heh. To date, FFVIII is the only one I played. Plot holes? I'm not sure. Heck, I have hard time thinking wha the heck the plot is in the first place! And I still haven't finished the game since the game started to drag towards the end. <_<

And yes, just because it has Squaresoft on it, doesn't mean it is good. Case in point, the Bouncer. Still, that doesn't mean Kingdom Hearts is a bad game (haven't played it so I can't say it is good either). Just because it's a commericalized product with Disney characters running around, doesn't make it bad either. Granted, Goofy and Donald are like the two worst characters to choose from, but still...

Anyways... I don't have much to add since, I haven't played a lot of games recently. :( Hey, I'm not exactly rolling in the dough here.

Though I guess I can add these games...

Playstation
Resident Evil
Resident Evil 2
Resident Evil 3 (see a pattern here? :p)
Silent Hill
Crash Kart Racing
Einhander
Metal Gear Solid

Playstation 2
Grand Theft Auto (yeah I know, big game, most people have played it. Greatest? Probably not. But still good IMO)
Silent Hill 2
Resident Evil: Code Veronica (I know the voice acting sucks like most Resident Evil games, and the story is very, well, I'll just say it. It's a piece of shit. But the game still rocks IMO!)
Metal Gear Solid 2 (a little short, and the story is even more bizarre than number 1, but still, awesome IMO)

That's about it. I would add Halo and Halo 2 for the Xbox but, well, I know your guys feeling on them. :p Again, I don't think they are the "ZOMG! KILLZ APPZZZZ!!!!!11111" that they are made out to be, but still, I like them!

Resident Evil 3 has my undying hatred for being a game with a MANDATORY SOUND PUZZLE whose solution CHANGES RANDOMLY at every reload, thus preventing me from completing it.

Thus, it gets a heartfelt stab in the balls. With a rusty, dull dagger. Fuck Capcom and their obsession with sound puzzles and subtitle-less cutscenes.

For a second there I had absolutely no idea what you were talking about then all of a sudden it was like "Ohhhhhhh, now I get it", I had completely forgotten there for a second, my mind just went completely blank, I think it had a meltdown (think Chernoble) and had to be rebooted, heh  .

Oh yeah. I forgot about that puzzle...and um, I still don't quite remember it ( ), but I can see why you would hate it then. Luckily for Silent Hill I guess, while they did have a sound puzzle, it was also a puzzle that can be beatened without hearing it.

Oh speaking of Silent Hill, did you guys hear that there was a Silent Hill movie coming out? I think it looks pretty good, might see it, depending on how things go, what'da'you guys think?

Yeah I heard about it. Even saw the previews/trailers for it. IMO? This could be the first REAL game to movie that isn't a piece of crap! There might be minor exceptions (like Mortal Kombat or Resident Evil), but, at least that latter, it isn't the best if you know what I mean in terms of a movie. And unlike the super bombs (House of the Dead, Alone in the Dark, and BloodRyane, all made by notoriously bad director, Uwe Bolls), at least they are made by someone who knows how to make movies (Christopher Gans, who made Brotherhood of the Wolves). Can't wait!

Hmm... Let's see... I'm not going to really put any effort into remember some of these games but, ignoring many of the ones already mentioned...

PS1 -

Final Fantasy Tactics
Final Fantasy VII (There were things wrong with it, but it IS a classic IMO)
Valkyrie Profile

PS2 -

Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater

Gamecube -

Resident Evil 4/Biohazard 4

SNES -

Chrono Trigger
Secret of Mana

NES -

Castlevania 3: Dracula's Curse

BTW, is this just for console games, or should I include PC games as well?

Gauntlet Legends
FUCK that game. Seriously, I utterly hate it. I played it to until my character was level 99 and somehow gained another level... into level 0. Whereas I had 1 HP and even less Str and other attributes. Even those level 1 goblin guys from the first stage could kill me in one hit. A fucking BREEZE would have killed me.

Bah [/rant] that fucking bug aside, decent game.

Regarding the SH movie... eh, maybe. I'll go see it regardless, but I'm holding back my initial 'meh.'

That's wierd, I leveled mine to Lv. 99 but that never happened to me, wierd, maybe it just didn't like you.

I heard there were gonna be only female 'human' characters in the movie.

That sorta pushed me off it.

I think they were joking about that since all the main characters are females. But the truth is, there are males in the movie. The main character's husband for example.

But yeah, at the moment, all of the ones in Silent Hill, are females. The males you might say, are the monsters. I see nothing wrong with it since, well, it isn't like it's all females, even if the ones in the nightmare are.

Mostly fairly obvious choices, but...

PC -

Planescape: Torment
Fallout
Fallout 2
Dungeon Keeper 2
Starcraft
Starcraft: Brood Wars

That's wierd, I leveled mine to Lv. 99 but that never happened to me, wierd, maybe it just didn't like you.
Yeah, after I got to level 99, I played a lot more, and eventually gained another level. Except, it went from level 99, to level 0... <_< Stupid bugs.

For PC, I can add these...

Star Control 2 (classic, but still fun. And, if you can't find it, you can download the Ur-Quan Masters! Basically the game, redone [the physics of the game I think since I see no difference in the overall graphics.] and it's free since it's fan altered).
Civilization 4 (only played the demo since, well, my laptop can't play it. And I haven't bought the game yet for my home PC. I was only home for a week and it wasn't until recently that my father added a 30 gig harddrive to it. After he did, played the demo, and I was instantly hooked).
Simcity 4 (has major flaws. Like needing a powerful computer or face major slowdowns in large cities. But otherwise, fun game if you like these kinds).
Warcraft III (can't go wrong with this one!)
Half-Life and I guess Half-Life 2 (haven't played the latter due to lack of, well, you know, good enough computer to play it. But if it matches the first game, it should be worth it)

Hmm, I'd second pretty much everything F-One put up (except the Fallout games because I haven't played them) and I'd suggest the Unreal series.

Unreal Tournament
Unreal 2003
Unreal 2004

I think there might be one more but if there is I haven't played it, also pretty much anything by Blizzard is always good.

I can't think of many straight off the top of my head at the moment but here are a few:

XBOX

Ninja Gaiden Black

PS2

Devil May Cry
Devil May Cry 3
Soul Calibur (2 or 3 take your pick, both are good)
Burnout 3 Takedown

Devil May Cry
Devil May Cry 3
*stabs Devil May Suck*

Generic slashfest crap with generic cool, dark badass main FTL. If you want a game where you slash the stuffings out of everything in sight with flashy moves, go with Dynasty Warriors 5. If you want cool-looking 'shit fucking blows up' effects, go with Godhand. If you want a cool, dark badass main, go with God of War.

And finally, if you want a mediocre dreck that's only worshipped because it's made by Crapcom and Dante looks emogoth, DMC might be good enough, but why bother when GunGrave is a zillion times better and has a cooler main such as Beyond the Grave, who has the goth part down pat without the emocrap?

"I WANTED TO BE THE ONE TO FILL YOUR SOUL WITH LIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIGHT!" <---- why Dante fails more than Sasuke. Worst quote ever.

Since GH covered almost all of my suggestions, I'll just put in Deception 3 for the old PS and say that Ogre Battle 64: Person of Lordly Caliber did come out stateside.

I've no idea bout the rest of the world beyond Japan, but it did come out here.
