As described by the title, come here to discuss this strangely engrossing manga. Theories, explanations, if you think you have one, come and dump one here so we can pick it apart piece by piece.

Anything concerning TWGOK is welcome here; if you have something to say about the manga, I repeat, this is the place.

To get the ball rolling:

Kanon hugging Keima in public. Repercussions?

I just love Ayumi's face on that page.

Kanon's yandere-iness might come back in full force one she finds out what Keima has been up to though.

Meh, I still kinda wish it wasn't Kanon who had the goddess.

With that said, Keima is doomed, DOOOOMED.
Death by angry fans, aw snap, what a sickening way to die.

Keima deserves his goddamn harem after all this shit, whether he likes it or not.

Harem End: And they lived happily ever after... cept Keima, for he just wanted to play his goddamn games, dammit!

I love this manga! :D

Also, did anyone else find the cover for the current volume (gigant rampaging Keima) a bit odd? Almost like it hint that he will for some reason become very pissed off in the upcoming chapters?

Also, who do you guys think is the last goddesses hosts? Personally I hope for at least Tsukiyo (moon girl). She acted fairly strange for a recently kissed target (Looking at Keima through her telescope while blushing).

I found the colossal shock of the whole classroom fairly entertaining :D ; also, Kanon was just so adorable this chapter. She was never one of my favourite girls in the manga, but the way she hugged Keima, good God. Elsee's reaction as well as her friends really made this chapter worth it.

Hope for more awesomeness. Now this is a manga that is anything but predictable.

Reading the latest chapter, I'm quite surprised by Keima's sudden declaration/determination. Perhaps he's maturing? Money's on the Moon Girl to be the one with the Goddess, though. Any takers?

I'm still holding out for runner girl, but it doesn't seem likely.

That said, I will go with the unlikely ones : Ramen girl or Library girl.

Swimmer girl would be awesome as well.

With the vague hint, we can always hope that it's Ayumi. ;_;

Fixed since there was no kendo girl at all as I assume you meant Kusunoki Kasuga.

Diana, Apollo...I didn't really realize they were using the names of Roman gods for the naming...

Mmmm, I think she may have seen Keima finding Kanon and such for all we know. If anything, I'd be willing to bet that she would be kind of like an unwilling assistant who stumbles on what Keima has been doing and even more unwilling to have him kiss anymore.

I think Ayumi holding the compact in the bathroom stall is just a red herring, it probably won't be one of the girls Keima sees everyday at school. (even though Kanon is in his class she's out all the time touring)

I can still dream. ;_;

It doesn't help that she's my favorite of the lot so far. Though the assistant teacher having a goddess would be an interesting choice.

On the anime, does anyone know exactly how many episodes it's supposed to have? The first two girls (of the four that are in the OP and ED) will probably be taken care of by the end of episode 3 and there's no way they extend those other two out for anywhere near a whole season.

That means that either they'll change their credits later on with the other girls (which I find unlikely), or they'll just have a short season that only has the first four heroines. If so I hope they start the second season quickly after this one finishes.

Most likely they will do 12 episodes covering the four girls showed in the Op/Ed (maybe even showing Haqua but do not hold your breath). Then there will be a break of a few months and begin second season on April with another 4/5 girls (maybe covering up to Tenri but, once again, not so sure about it).

Diana, Apollo...I didn't really realize they were using the names of Roman gods for the naming...
They were called the Jupiter sisters and their names seems somehow related to their abilities which might be reflected, or might be the opposite, of the girls were they are residing.

If we take into account that the gods of the Roman pantheon represented specific things. Diana was the goddess of hunting and chastity, Apollo was the god of music and poetry among other things. Now compare them to their hosts...

Could this be a clue to find the remaining goddesses?

Or maybe I'm just thinking too much?

Oh! And for those rooting for Tsukiyo... There was a Roman goddess named Luna based on the Greek goddess Selene (most Roman gods were based on Greek deities) although it was later replaced by Diana. Take that as you want...

Well the anime seems to be going at a rate of about 2 chapters an episode, and Haqua appears in chapter 21/22 so she might get squeezed into episode 11/12

They'd probably have to cut out a couple captures to reach Tenri by the end of season two though.

Manga about reluctant hero. Don't see much of those in Japan nowadays. It's always "I'm going to be the best X ever" I see. That being said, I hope for Keima to continue his delivery of cracking strategies for our reading pleasure. Also, anyone got info on the subs for the TWGOK Anime?

As a side note, I blame everyone on TFF for getting me hooked on the Touhou-verse.

Curse you all.

Erm, I just noticed something. The bad girl Fiore recently tried to murder Kanon/Apollo, and ran off after that.
But now when Elsee is working as Kanon's body double, won't Fiore think that she have failed when she sees that Kanon(Elsee) is still alive and once again go after (fake) Kanon's life?

:( that I guessed wrong at the number of goddesses (I thought they would be five)

And the anime is very enjoyable, though sometime I am sad that they have to skip some of the jokes from the manga. And its ending song is kinda cute with the role of lead/solo singer in the beginning of the song switches singers depending on which heroine is focused on. Though I am kinda worried with where in the manga the first season will stop, as with this pace it will end in the middle of Haqua's arc.

Just read the whole thing from the begining. I really wish the Karate girl was a goddess. She even had a moe split personality.

Current girls that I;m hoping might be Goddesses would be:
Library girl
Swimmer
Teacher
Moon girl.

Now that I think about it a run though of all the possiblities. There are 4 goddess left and Kannon was already proven to be one, Ojou and karateka are proven out and I really dought it'll be the little old lady. Now if we exclude the ones he hangs out with daily and would notice remembering we have 7 girls: the Librarian, Dollgirl, the teacher, Swimmer, boardgame, Ramen girl, and the Big Sis.

just about every girl he hangs out with in class has given signals that they are remembering, you really can't exclude them

It's actually pretty much a given that Karate girl is/will be a goddess. (maybe even her sister)

After all, 2 of the 4 remaining goddesses are Mars & Minerva (aka Ares and Athena).

All the girls seem to remember him a bit and there are only 6 sisters not 12+. Going by Kanon's example it seems that they have to remember everything to have a goddess. Still Kanon has shown one improtant detail about the sisters:
Goddesses don't have to be present from the moment they got introduced. They could have taken control of the girl after she was saved.
