Technically Unicron is far out of Galactus's league being a creation of the being who got the ball rolling on the whole existence thing. Galactus dies with the universe, Unicron destroyed the previous universe, and came back for more.

You know that always struck me as a possible plot point. Galen was at just the right place at the right time when his universe ended to become Galactus in the next one. Unicron in a crossover setting (like back when Marvel still had the comic rights to Transformers) set that in motion. I would think that there would be some animosity there to say the least.

Also correct me if I'm wrong on any of this, but isn't Unicron like a multi-universal-singularity, meaning all the Unicron who exist throughout time and space are basically the same guy? So sure you could destroy one of his bodies, but there is still many, many more out there.

No that is technically correct, though they choose to ignore the "Multiversal Singularity" thing a lot. Otherwise he would have killing Optimus and Hot Rid as his top priorities above everything else. Considering how often they get in his way he should really have taken care of that by now.

I mean seriously he can and has created legions of mindless killing machines and incredibly powerful and cunning subordinates that can take on legions of Cybertronians but he ignores the local dimensional counterparts of the two beings who most often defeat him until they just happen upon one of his plans?

Honestly they don't use the whole "Multiversal Singularity" to it's fullest.

And it has been p0rovenn that gunning for one Matrix Bearer isn't useful, after all, Vector Prime from Transformer's Cybertron's continuity can see all continuities and could probably ruin his shit by, say, bringing in one of the many other Primes
