I'm spending on the fusion reactor, which will hopefully allow me to increase my metal and crystal production enough to make use of my deut surplus.

I find crystal has been coming as easy as metal. My metal mine planet doesn't produce all that much more than my crystal planet, and I use more of it. So they have been staying about even. Also, my raids have been pulling in equal numbers of each.

How the devil do some of you have enough deut to call it surplus?

Not enough stuff uses it, that's how. Research uses it, but needs as much or more metal and crystal. Most ships and defenses don't need deut to be built, and bulking them up eats throught the others very fast (the only combat ship I have that needs it are cruisers but it only needs 2k compared to 27k of the others combined, gauss cannons are the same but need about 35k of the other two combined.)

As you can see, you use a lot more metal and crystal, and I'm spending it as fast as I get it. That isn't the case with deut. My home planet produces 269 per hour with the subtractions from a level 7 fusion reactor. My deut focused colony Sakura produces 513. With raids added (each bringing in probably slightly under 10k on average,) I can't spend as much as I get.

Any chance in getting 75k metal? It's easier that way for me to send a large cargo with the goods. (Actually somewhere around 74k since travel costs have to be taken into account.)

It seems a lot of people have a lot of deut on their hands that they need to get rid of. I'm planning on making my next colony a kinda bank out in the ass end of nowhere, so I can store excess resources semi-safely. There is ridiculous space out in galaxies 7,8,&9.

I found a totally empty system in Galaxy 4. Only one planet being used, by a banned guy who'll stay banned until 2034, and it's a planet in Position 1, so who cares.

As soon as possible I'll make a colony there for storing purposes, I think.

Becareful with that much Deut, make sure you don't let it sit still, keep it moving until you make a trade. Large supplies of Deut draw fire from the powerful player's like nothing else will.
