Tragic spoiler for marvel fans

Nope. Different design. This one has three extra legs. The suit may have many gadgets, but it's purpose is to limit his abilities. Besides what was mentioned before, all of his previous abilities evolved. I mean that literally. He died, his coprse then emerged from a cocoon. He is basically Spidey Mk. II.

Yep, it's amazing how the authors try to create as many characters able of mass destruction as they can. Gets pretty amusing when two characters said to be able to destroy the world get in a fight and barely damage a city. :huh.:

Wasn't there a cosmic spiderman somewhere as well? He gained tremendous power or something from radiation and became super-powerful, though he eventually expended all his power stopping some meteor. B)

Major Freedom... I just had a terrible flash of Dennis Leary walking down the street naked, "reading" porn, and rubbing himself with green jello (one of his longstanding jokes) and smoking a cigarette. In modern times, this will probably involve a Humvee and cellphone somehow too.

Cosmic Spiderman, gained the power from something (forgot the name), lost it stopping the Super Sentinel (sp?) from nuking NY.

Powers included flight, eye beams, increased strength (knocked Grey Hulk into Orbit), transmutation of objects (turned his webbing into adamantium among other things), telekinesis and limited invulnerabilty in addition to boosting his spidersense to hyperinsane sensitive level.

Great story arc IMO, still looking for a copy of the collected anthology. Spidy with some real Superman level powers facing off against non-traditional villians. The What If for that arc was sweet too.

And on that note, has anyone ever read the What-If Spiderman had stopped the robber at the start of his career? I saw it once, but never got a chance to read the whole thing.

The closest thing I read to a what if story, is the M2 universe comic Spider-girl. More chicks in tights is a good thing. The comic had some chicky parts but it wasn't bad overall.

he pretty much became a hollywood actor and eventually producer getting contracts from Daredevil, Fantastic Four, and others. later on Daredevil dies saving his life and he learns his lesson i believe.

1. Uncle Ben is repulsed at what he's become.

2. he put Jamesson out of business in a rather Kingpin-ish fashion.

Weird, the one I saw had Jameson turn out to be the 'Mr. Big' criminal because he was jealouse of Spiderman.

not sure what's going on there but the one i read had Parker frame and/or set him up in the news which ended up ruining him (this was due to the fact that Jonah went for his usual bad publicity angle). Jonah later ended up helping the sinister six (not sure if it was them exactly but you get the idea) surprise Parker and thats where DD got wounded.

it might not be exactly like that due to the fact that i skimmed parts of it, but Parker was out to ruin Jamesson for the bad publicity that he+his fellow contractees were getting.
