You make it sound like TFF has never produced FSN fanfics. That's sad.
Not any good ones for a long time. As a side note: Sorry to say but I didn't like the Berserk cross despite being a fan of both series.

Also when I am talking about people that use GB's fanon as their base, I don't just mean the fics that branch off (like the omakes that I never read) but ones that are completely unrelated but are still clearly influenced by his work. Those stick out like sore thumbs too.
Just because something inspires fanfiction doesn't mean it's great or even that the people inspired by it thought it was great. In fact many great series don't get alot of fanfiction. The way I see it you need to 2 things in a series to make people really want to do fanfiction on it. It has to be pretty entertaining, and it has to have something people disagree with.

I mean, look at Bleach, that series is a train wreck and yet it still gets a shitton of fanfics, but then you have series like FMA which mostly sees shipfics. GB's fics have inspired some pretty good fics, some actually better than what inspired them. Wings of the Frontier comes to mind.

so does On The Wings of Freedom AKA the one with the Dark Haired Not Jeanne D'arc AKA the one Narusen mentioned.

GAH!! I WAS TRYING TO FORGET THAT!

But I think I should at least try to add something: Anybody read Hanging By A Thread? That one was decent at first, until Rider came charging in and the whole thing went downhill in record time.

at first i must say: Heaven's Feel True Shirou? wasn't Shirou... you know Dead in HF's True end and only Lived by the Grace of Ilya in HF's Good End?
Bell-san? Bellerophon is the Briddle not the Pegasus... unless they named it Bell or Bellerophon, wich would be somewhat Weird.
Second Chapter is, to be rather honest a complete and utter crap... at everything.
and
his fucking Justification of killing Sakura is for Shirou to participe in the Sekirei Plan???? What THE FUCK MAN, WHAT THE FUCK.
well that is crap, utterly useless crap for the second chapter, the first one was tempting but still is an Overall... Meh Vs On the Wings of Freedom complete Detestable from the beginig.

And I disagree.

In all seriousness, the vast majority of fics that are inspired by GB are horrible in a myriad of different equally bad ways and are you can tell that they didn't read the source material at all.

I do admit that a few are worth a look for humor, as many writers are much better at it than GB, but little else.

I know. The guy had a good setup, but dropped the ball off the skyscraper before the end of the first chapter. He then went off vector with Sakura's death...

I seriously don't understand how that could happen.

No. There is no HF Good.
i am sure that one of the 2 endings of Heaven's Feel is called Good ending...
my bad there is Normal Ending and True Ending and the Truen Ending is the one with Puppet Shirou/Bob.

@Nasuren: Fanboyism and wanting to copy a thing even whan it doesn't made any sense to do it.

Skycrapper; An engineering marvel that will boggle the mind for years to come as all who see it wonder "Why?"

Also going to steal that line. I'm gonna steal it so hard...

Um.... what? You steal my line and replace Skyscraper with Skycrapper? This is where I should rant and complain, but Boo says everything peachy. Feel free to do whatever.

I can't tell you how many FSN fics uses GBs fanon as their base. It sucks because it is immediately apparent who did their research and made their own impressions on canon and who doesn't.
About the same number of FoZ and Sekirei fics that also use his fanon.

can we just stop beating the dead, buried and putrefact Horse-like corpse already?
but the new chapter amazed me, just when i tough he couldn't go lower... he did.

... I'm not completely certain whether or not I'm disappointed by how this chapter went. Gabriel Blessing claims it was headed down this path all along, but... It just feels, well, meh. That's all I can get from it now, and that's probably one of the most disappointing things of all.

I have to admit, I'm now mostly in this to see the Shirou / Karasuba fight. With the kind of build-up, hints, and teasing this confrontation has had, I really hope it's worth it... if there will even be one. As things stand, I'm beginning to wonder if GB will let that hook hang even after the final chapter, Karasuba forever waiting for that final fight. I also have a morbid curiosity concerning how the story ends, it's a common problem of mine with stories and such I started out liking and gradually grew sour on. I usually just skip to the end, but .

Too bad, though, about where has gone and where it seems to be going. I think "In Flight" had a promising premise and a lot of interesting ideas.

I LOLed.

At this point, there really isn't anything else to do other than that.

Whats really annoying about it is that we never see Shirou studying magecraft. What he pulled on Rin just seemed like "Yep, I can do that too"

Ummm... No, That was in fact something we've seen him working on for several chapters.

Check again.

the Geas shit really had background... a lot of background.
but damn, i can't even gather enough care to facepalm at it... and i used to like it, now i can barely hate it, it has reached into the "Not care" zone.
as for the Shirou Vs Karasuba fight... if it goes like the "Meet the 'exes'" then prepare to be utterly dissapointed man, seriously it's like those shows where the mook-fights are really awesome, detailed, long enough to enjoy but short enough to not get bored AND completely unexpected (like the spanish inquisition), while the Grudge moments, those who carried a lot of emotional investment, expectation and momentum... get solved in a terribly dissapointing way.

Despite Gabe's attempts to show that Shiro isn't invincible... he's not doing a very good job of it. Not only did he defeat a force of nature while holding back (granted, she was too,) but then he turns around and takes out a first class mage after getting his arm chopped off. And that's not even touching on how Saber and Rin are Outside Context Villains, who could probably curb stomp their way through the Sekirei. Combined with his newly revealed ability to regenerate limbs over the course of what I assume is days, he's theoretically more dangerous and the only source of conflict comes from A: Karasuba or Miya or B: Shiro trying to hide the existence of Magecraft, and given that Karasuba knows something unusual is happening with him and will probably tell Takami, B: could quickly cease to be a factor with the Sekirei.

Not saying that he wasn't studying geas as they're mentioned in every Magus battle with the Fraga outright ignoring them.

I'm saying its kind of a random "I just did this with a geas" thing.
Which both Rin and Saber should've known about since they reached the inn while he was away and he likely had that one that he used on the Archibald up.

He really likes to beat a dead horse to death it seems, Gandr and it's effects was one of the most interesting parts of the chapter, the blade growth, while somewhat fun, was an asspull of gigantic proportions, he recovers from stuff that can just be patched up by interlocking blades, he does not do full regrowths like a lizard.

Anyway, this arc was irritating, oh so very much, the only thing that made me happy is that this will end soon, so I can just finish reading this tragedy of a crossover and be done with it.

it's now pulverized puterfact Horse-corpse because the horse died a looooooooooong time ago and it's only putrefact because he keeps salivating over the remains.

:eek:ff topic: Why there isn't more Veritas Manwha???? god why ther isn't more of that?????

and no, i used to like it, but it had several glaring issues, that for the last three chapters nailed the coffin, performed the ceremony, cremated the casket ad thrown the ashes in the toilet for me, now whats left is only flushing it.
