Angry Marines?
Nope.

These guys. I helped make them and they hold a place in my heart. I do admit they got a bit too sue-ish at the end, but I still like them, and it's not like vanilla Marines aren't sue like. Armor's still not done though, still want the beakie helm and want to swap out the breastplate for the one with the big gorget. I think it's the Maximus one.

Huh...I'd have put money on that one guy being Perturbo. I guess I expect Angron to be taller and look like Kratos from God of War.

The Dread Knight? Nope, its real. One of the official load outs it can have. It can also have a giant sword. Its Grey Knight only

That image is way, way cool.

But Angron is tiny. That just goes to prove that the same kind of rage tall people have gets condensed and intensified in chibi primarchs. ;D

Website with Trailer

It's also now got almost official GW backing too.

Hi Guys,

I hope you had a nice christmas and a cool beginning for this year;) You all know the project is currently on ôholdö and so I had a lot of time to think about Lordi from time to time and develop new ideas and things like that:) Of course I alsoá already thought that Lordi is doomed because of the rules of Games Workshop, but it seems that the wheel has changed:)

Shortly before Christmas I finally got an answer and it was more than positive:) To be honest I think I had the biggest smile in my face in the year 2011:D I will not post any mails in my blog as this is a private conversation between GW and me, but what I can tell you is that GW loves Lordi and everything what me and my team created. So GW reallyá wants to see this project finished and they want me to have a kind of license that allows me to make non commercial Warhammer 40.000 movies.á I mean, how cool is that?:) I never thought that GW would be so cool to this project and this is beyond my expectations û now I donÆt have to hide anymore with this project, but can look iná a proper future for Lordi.

However GW told me that this is a promise for now only and they can not guarantee me that this really becomes true. They have to see for themselfes if that is possible legally with their IP. But they want to get this through and Im optimisitc that this will work:) So we still need to cross our fingers, but it looks really really good for The Lord Inquisitor:)

This of course raised my motivation to a new level haha:) With the official approval by GW I can hopefully gain a much bigger team to make a much better movie in the same amount of time. As I said I need Technical Directors and animators and such. I got new plans in my mind and definetely need a good story/plot writer who works closely with me together. If I find enough people who want to support my vision and to make the first non profit and 100% passionate Warhammer 40k movie I want to make this film longer to tell a much bigger story:) If I dont have to animate all the characters, facial animation and so this could be easily done as rendering times seems to be no big problem û I rendered the whole trailer on one workstation with approx. 15min per frame. That is all possible as I almost used no global illumination and other fancy time consuming effects.

So whatÆs next? Of course I still got to wait for the next reply of GW, and if this will turn out as expected I will post a more detailed list of people I need, a job description so to say:) I try to put that online permanently on this site, so that everyone can see if I still need some help in specific areas. This can turn out really great and the whole community can see this film grow and prosper and also have influence of the production. So regarding the usual workflow here of me posting images and you writing comments and me again changing all the mistakes I made nothing will change:)

Yeah thatÆs it so far, I think this canÆt be a better start for 2012 and the future of Torquemada Coteaz and his Grey Knights:)

Best regards,

Erasmus
tl;dr: Fanfilm kicks the shit out of the official Ultramarines film.

If it weren't for the eight-pointed stars on that last one, I'd swear it was Night Haunter from before the Heresy.

Curze eh?

Here's his shoulda been best bro if they fought together in the Heresy.

I always felt if those two interacted more often instead of fighting in different sectors of the galaxy, the Night Lords might not have fallen.

Magnus could've been saved if not for Horus/chaos engineering a long standing distrust between him and the Wolf King or if Magnus hadn't used that method to warn his father. I like that in his book, Corax (who is unaware of evens on Prospero) assumes Magnus to be loyal and that his aid will be needed in the battles to come. Heck even Roubte comments that the loss of the Librarians was a sever handicapp wen fighting against the traitor legions. To the point where he wonders if the loss of them was planned by the enemy. Fulgrim would've been loyal but that Daemon sword really screwed him up.

It's also very strongly implied that the Emperor warned Magnus against contact with Chaos specifically because he wanted Mags to be the one sitting on the Golden Throne and acting as the beacon of the Astronomican.

He ordered Magnus brought to Terra not to punish him, but because the damage Magnus had done to his Webway Gate project had allowed daemons to flood it, and the Throne was the only thing keeping them from pouring out of it and onto Terra. The only way to mitigate this damage was to have a powerful psyker blocking it, which was (again) Magnus' job because, y'know, he's the one who broke it.

Which would have gone alright if Horus hadn't twisted the message. Which wouldn't have happened if he hadn't gone Chaos. Which wouldn't have happened if not for Lorgar's men going heretical. Which was, ultimately, Emps' own fault for being all militantly atheistic.

Eh, except that atheism, and peace and love, were the best defenses against the forces of Chaos, since warp entities were born out of beliefs and extreme (generally negative) emotions.

I really, really hate that piece of lore.

Peace and love don't work, either. Love is actually Nurgle's origin.

The only purpose behind the atheism drive - which Emps actually knew was a complete lie - was to prevent the spread of any teachings about Chaos. It backfired miserably, because it stripped away the firm convictions that deafen the ears of the faithful to the whispers of the Ruinous Powers.

I thought death was Nurgle's origin, or rather, the fear of it. Love and acceptance are also Nurgle's own, but like all things with the Chaos gods, it is twisted. Much like how Khorne has honorable warfare as well as mindless slaughter as bits associated with him.

I'd love to see an AU where Magnus decided to use another method/the 1K Sons mostly (bar some traitors) stayed loyal.

I mean, think, how much would change if an entire Legion of Psyker Specialists were on the Emperors side?
