I'm having trouble figuring out which series of gundam to download... The one I'm thinking about is where the driver of it, put's his limbs into corresponding parts. How he moves is how the gundam moves. All I can remember is one of them being somewhat purple... I know this is somewhat vague... At first I thought it was Mobile Suit Gundam Wing, but it's not, can anyone help me?

Mobile Fighter G Gundam?
No, not quite. They literally stuck their arms down a hole for an arm, and their legs down a hole for their legs... Etc...

That sounds more like Escaflone than Gundam
I'm posative it's not.... Everytime I try to think of it, Gundam pops uo, and I remember it, I believe it was on Toonami... Or another program like it...

I really doubt it's a Gundam series. Outside of G-Gundam all of the Gundam units follow a certain way of operating. And what you described doesn't fit.

I checked out the last one mentioned, it's not it, I'm at a loss for what it could be... I know it's from between 90-02, and I know that doesn't help much :p

It's not <s>lupus</s> Gundam

Can you recall any other details?

Are any of the dub cast familiar from other shows?
The music - is it J-pop or is there a more classical feel to it?
What about the art style?

The options that jump into my head at this point are: Gasaraki, Blue Gender and Full Metal Panic.

I rule out Escaflowne because you said it was on Toonami, and Escaflowne didn't air on Toonami (at least not in the UK, Fox Kids had it here) and you certainly would have remembered the noses in Escaflowne!

Not too sure about the dub, but I do remember that the music had a more classic feel to it...

he might be talking about one of the special gundams from 3rd ms team or MS: Gundam. Didnt the principality of zeon have some wacky purple ones?

Blue Gender?
From Ryonosuke Takahashi.

Guy has some currently incurable disease and gets put into suspended animation.

A short while later aliens attack and he's rescued by this team because the sleepers can help fight off the aliens, which have been codenamed "Blue".

It's got realistic mecha, a staple of Takahashi's work, but the more that I remember about it, the less likely it aired on Toonami - there's a lot of character death.

There really weren't that many mecha series on Toonami as I recall, or at least not in the US. Offhand, the only ones I recall are Gundam Wing, G-Gundam, half of Mobile Suit Gundam, and Big O, and most of those have already been ruled out. Big O doesn't really have a motion system, so much as just moving a control stick in a semi-circle to throw a punch and pushing a pedal to take a step.

Giant Robot week doesn't count, because it was only one week, and only showed the first 2 episodes of about 2 anime. It was worthless and just taunting viewers with shows that they apparently had no intention of airing at all later on.

The Robotech/Macross series was also on Toonami for a short time, and I think Escaflowne was, too. Also, there were two of the Zoids series.

EDIT: OH! The Candidate for Goddess might be what you're thinking of.

Hmm, going back, I downloaded a couple episodes of this it seems familiar though, not sure if it's this, but it's the closest I've got... I suppose this one will have to do, cause Toonami was till the last year very good, so yeah :p

And I know it wasn't Zoids, I didn't watch that one too much

Toonami was AWESOME in the good old days. Cowboy bepop(or was that on adult swim?) Big O. Hell I know this will probably get me flamed but I even loved IGPX(they didnt pretend that the world was at stake due to a sport XD). Robotech, 0080, MS: G, the list goes on and on.
