Who are the biggest jobbers in anime?

Chaotzu doesn't count. After all, he just ups and dissapears. You might as say Yajirobe, except for the fact that Yajirobe got to cut off Vegeta's tail. If you count Chaotzu then by that logic you'd have to count that farmer Raditz killed, he wasn't useful in any of the fights after all.

How about the guy from s-CRY-ed that seems to just scream "HAMMER!" and smashes things.

Definite jobber. I always cracked up at Big-kun.
He basically only exists to be beaten when they can't think of a new Alter user to fit in. It was kind of sad since he was part of the first real Alter fight of the series

Chaotsu can be considered, because he was in a few fights before he disappeared. He was introduced right before Picollo, with his first major fight being against Kuririn. Which he lost because Kuririn managed to do the kamahameha on his first attempt. His next fight wasn't even showed, he got mauled by Taopaipai to further Tenshinhan's plotline. Then he suicided against Nappa for no effect, which caused Tenshinan to do the exact same thing.

Naruto alot of his so calledvictories especially against neji in the chunnin exam who was dominating the fight were thanks to his nine tailed buddy

Sorry, that was my fault. I linked him to this thread to have an opinion from him about the subject, forgetting to tell him not to post. I apologize.

Besides, one fight, especially one he won, does not make naruto a jobber. Sasuke lost more fight in part one. And even by part two Sasuke didn't make up the difference. Though he definately didn't become a jobber.

Errrr, no.
Mana is not a jobber.
The one time she looses, there's a very good reason for it.
The other time was a draw.

Ten-ten is more of a jobber, then that.

The Tigers team from Zoids: New Century Zero.

Those guys give Saber Tigers a bad name... (And their one of my favourite zoids too!)

Another I suppose would be Chad from Bleach? The only wins he has are against lackeys...and he doesn't leave any serious dents on sub-bosses either.

Even Ishida has a better track record, at least he has a captain victory under his belt. Not to mention he gets the "This guy is troublesome" centric line even when he loses. (Chad doesn't even have that)

To be fair, Chad beats up all of 11th division, including several seated officers, offscreen and IIRC even a vice-captain-level Shinigami.

Then he gets walked all over by one of the top 3 captains in Seireitei.

Can't hold that against him.

Ikari Shinji (for obvious reaons)

Kyotaro - Gekkoh.

Wouldn't Shinji have to continuosly lose to count?
In this case no. He wins but remains pathetic. Constantly. Never grows a pair.

But who does he make look better? No one. Nope not a jobber.

If anyone is a jobber in Evangelion, it is Asuka. Made out to be a great pilot, trained to perfection. And Shinji comes in, practically has to be begged into it and he kicks more angel ass while Asuka fails or needs his help.

There's that one guy from Tenjo Tenge, then one whose brother is like the main villian for it (been awhile since I've read the series.) He starts off being able to contend with the main character, but quickly falls into the jobber role in not only fights, but with the women too by losing them.

Can't argue with Asuka being a jobber. Her and Rei seem made to make Unit 01 seem more awesome, though Asuka did get her shot in EoE against the mass-produced flying bastards. Wasn't her fault no one knew they could regenerate.

The guy from Tenjou Tenge you mentioned is Masataka Takayanagi. If my information is accurate, he's only a jobber in the anime. Not so much in the manga. Kinda becomes oblivious to his growing fanclub, and proceeds to curbstomp whole groups single handedly.

Jeremiah "Orange-kun" Gottwald of Code Geass was a serious jobber in season one. His whole purpose was to make Lelouch, Kallen, and C.C. look better and show off new toys. Doesn't detract from how hilariously awesome he turned out at all.

Viral, from TTGL.

In fact, the entire Beastman species was created to be a race of jobbers, but Viral excels at that role.

True, and the 5 some minutes of Asuka throwing herself into a beserk rage while ripping apart the other evas was some of the best of Evangelion.

But still doesn't detract from her role of a jobber. And her end defeat just shows how much better Shinji is.

I do not really consider that defeat an indication of how much better Shinji is. After all, he had a S2 engine, and the lance, and their goal was never to kill him.

The comparison of the sides in that battle is IMHO best described by the following quote:

"On one side, Evangelion Unit Two with Asuka barely having awoken from a catatonic state, three and a half minutes of power, a single progressive knife and no support infrastructure. Opposing her, all nine advanced Production models; Evangelions Five through Thirteen, each capable of unassisted flight, each with a dummy plug that would ignore pain or damage, each with an S2 engine allowing unlimited power and regeneration, each with a replica of the Lance of Longinus that could cut right through an AT field like a knife through butter."
And from that same story... Shinji's assessment. Yes... it is fannon, not canon, but I in fact agree with it.

"I couldn't have come close to what she did. On my best day, even today, with everything I know, everything I can do with Unit One.I couldn't have touched her. Asuka and her Mother fought together with such a tempest, such a focus.I don't think I can describe it. Nothing, I have ever seen, none of the battles against the Angels.nothing comes close. She didn't cry about how unfair it was, she didn't give up anything to them.it was as if she had been bornfor this battle. And if she had had just known a little more about Units she was fighting; known to go for their S2 organs or their dummy plugs, or if she had still had her power cable and been able to take a little more time.she would have succeeded. I know it".
Both the above quotes were from chapter 13 of:

BEHOLD MY NECROMANTIC POWERS!

If we're talking about Jobbers... Hmmm....

Tatewaki Kuno is definitely one. The few times he gets a victory, he has plot armor, the element of surprise, his enemy is severely weakened, he's up against cannon-fodder goons, or he's teamed up with one of the other guys.

About the most impressive I've ever seen him was after the Watermelon Training, and in the anime, the few times he fights with Kodachi.

Not to mention, fannon has made him the ultimate jobber in that nearly every new character (at least those with any martial talent, which is just about all of them) winds up kicking his ass.

Essentially, he's like the "character test". If the character can't kick his ass, they're not worth following.

-----------------------

I'd have to say Kazuharu Fukuyama from Girl's Bravo is definitely a Jobber. He's even been knocked out when the main character put his hand on Kazuharu's face (then again, considering Kazuharu has an allergy to guys, just about any guy could probably knock him out in such a fashion).

Plus, the guy's a creepy molester, FAR worse than even Ataru Moroboshi. He certainly deserves the ass-kickings he gets and more.

-----------------------

The Efreet from Bastard! This guy was defeated by a FIRE SPELL. Efreets are MADE OF FIRE. Not only that, but the best he managed was to defeat the spirit beast in Arshes Nei's weapon in the anime.

-----------------------

Adon, from Beserk. Seriously, I don't know HOW this fucker stayed a general when he lost... what, FIVE fucking fights, at least TWO forward positions (including a strategically important keep), and not only wasted a hundred of men in attempts to simply capture/kill Guts and Casca, but failed to ever do more than knock Casca off a cliff and shoot Casca with a crossbow.

-----------------------

Fungus, from Final Fantasy Unlimited. Not ONCE does this guy win, even after surviving being blown up. Then again, I have to say, his final death... don't know why, but damn that was surprisingly chilling. I actually felt sorry for the poor guy.

-----------------------

Naraku, Inu Yasha. I'm sorry, but this guy is a jobber. He has to flee constantly, his demonic BEES are more dangerous than him, and even when he DOES kill someone, it's indirect, thus not his victory.

Shit, I don't even count his supposed "victory" over Sango's clan to be one.

-----------------------

Mizuki from Naruto. Never managed to kill anyone important. Ever. In the manga or the anime. He's injured Iruka, UNNECESSARILY killed an ally, and beat up a few NPCs. That about it. Shit, even when he was buff as hell and had Fujin and Raijin helping him, he never managed anything impressive.

I agree with Kuno being utterly useless.

On the other hand I think he's awesome. No real reaosn why. He just is.
