Saturday nights are bad for me, though Sunday afternoons or Thursday evenings are just fine. Actually, I suppose that most evenings except for Friday and Saturday are good for me.

I'm fine with any weekday evening or just any time saturday/sunday, if given enough advance warning.

This particular saturday will be bad though. I'm free tonight and sunday however.

Righto. I'm thinking that Sunday afternoons seems to be the time that the majority of us are free.

Also, I believe that I'm going to ask everyone to download the Group Calendar Addon, which can be found in the Addon thread. It looks farily complicated, but one of our members is somewhat familiar with it and I'll be puzzling over it as well.

Hmm. It's been quite a while since I've posted in this thread. Reading over it, I still shake my head in exasperation at how utterly clueless I was (and still am) about WoW.

We've been together for a nearly a year now and I'm glad to call all of the Hawks my friends. We've been through tough times, sever and faction changes, attempted mutinies, trolls, GB ninjas, and of course, my mad schemes for realm domination.

We've survived, even if not all of our original officers are with us. I've come to learn that enjoying WoW doesn't mean that you're part of a big guild or have the best gear. Sure, it makes the experience a bit more fun, but it isn't the end all, be all of what the experience entails. I like logging on and bantering with my friends. I like the genial abuse that my lackeys heap upon my head. I like being taught about the game and learning how to be a good player and GM as time goes on.

I'm proud of each and everyone of my guildies and I hope to be playing with them another year from now.

We'd also like to invite you to join the celebration! Even if it's a temporary alt, head over to Bloodscalp and join the Horde. We'll make a Hawk outta youse and make sure we have some fun over the next couple of days.

Here's to another year of mayhem!

Obviously, you should have kept going. <_<

Anyways, while I'm technically still on Bloodscalp, I just haven't played it in a very long time. My other characters (like the ones closet to 80... my 71s. And yes, still 71s) have just been taking too much of my time.

Alright I just went back through it ALL now, I know for a fact there is a "Band of the Hawk" on Bloodscalp but as I've seen you guys are only supposed to be on Darrow as Alliance. Now correct me if I'm wrong but is the Band of the Hawk on Bloodscalp there for us Horde players?

We USED to be on Darrowmere as Alliance. But one day, we all decided to move to Bloodscalp re-enrolled as Horde. Hence, where the TFFers for the Band of the Hawks now resides.

I must have missed that, what page was that on? ....its funny though I see you guys all the damn time how many member do you have?

We've got around 100 toons in the guild, though a large number of them are alts.

And not all of them are TFFers.

Funny enough, even though I'm 'still' in the guild (unless they implemented a time limit to how long one can be inactive in the guild), I haven't played Bloodscalp in a few months.

After all, at the moment, I'm just excited I got one of my 71s to 72. Yeah. I really not feeling Northrend. <_<

Howling Fjord->Borean Tundra (Or Torean Bundra, as I prefer)->Dragonblight->Grizzly Hills->Sholazar (you should have access to your epic flyer around now)->Storm Peaks->Finish off to 80 in instances, if you havent hit it already).

The Fjord/Tundra are the worst parts of Northrend, but ya gotta do em first. Or you end up having to do Zul'Drak and Icecrown, and those are worse, imo. The lvling isnt too bad (I've got a 75 and a 76 on top of my 80, and I only petered off with each at the end of Dragonblight), but it DOES go extremely slow. You really just have to do every quest in every zone.

Well I've been playing WoW now, I play as a Tauren Druid on Ysera because my brother is on this server, but I'm only lvl 25 so far and I want to a PvP server.

So if you would have me I have started an undead priest named Mohius on bloodscalp.

No problem. It'll be cool to have another TFFer around. Just pst me, Annelle, or one of my officers:

Anaba
Cerisse
Warboss
Calethira
Kilimari
Nibbletts
Meraya

and we'll get you set up easy. If you haven't gotten ahold of one of us soon, fire off a letter to me and I'll see that you get invited.

And yes, we got dead tired of all the chickenshit Alliance on Darrowmere, not to mention the messed up economy (no pun intended). So we rerolled Horde and chose a server that was hopefully less full of idiots.

I'd like to join in on the fun on Bloodscalp, if that's alright. I'm not entirely sure what to roll up, though, so any tips would be nice.

Edit: I've decided to roll up a Blood Elf Paladin, named Lestorenus. Hope you let me join the fun in your guild.

[delurks in WoW sub-forum] Aren't Blood Elf's on the Alliance side of things? [/relurks]

Edit: Dubrichius, your sig picture to the web comic is a hyperlink to the picture itself, not to the webcomic.

Night Elfs are alliance. Blood Elfs are a race that Blizzard added later. They're Horde's only 'pretty' race. While at the same time the alliance got the Dranei which is their only beast type class.

I personally feel the races should have been switched, I mean incredibly arrogant jackass fits the description of a Blood Elf's personality as well as most of the Lol pwnd joo Alliance players.

In my personal experience, Bloodscalp and elsewhere, Horde players tend to be the jackholes.

Except Gnomes. Gnome Rogues exist only to evade your targeting, rape you, and teabag your corpse.

On Ysera I tried playing a Dranei, because I like the design on the females anyway, The guys really need to tone back on the steroids, but they're were a lot of jerks on the alliance side and made it just bleh.

Its not the faction or the race that determines who the 'jackhole' in the situation is.

Its whoever is higher level.

A high level ally will gank a lowby horde just as quick as horde would gank an ally.

Its exactly the same.

There is no difference.

No side is more of an ass then the other.

As for the Metro-Elves compared to the Russian Space Goats... Meh. The Draenai make zero sense. They were a stupid race to retcon in, that are so highly improbable that its retarded. Granted, they do make sense as Shamans... but thats about it.

Blood Elves do make sense of a sorts to be on the Horde Side, but thats just because Kael was a douchebag who left the BE in a tight spot. Frankly, the Horde should have made overtures... but then left it at that so that they didn't lose one of their older allies, the Amani Trolls, over it. Zul'jin was a bad ass, yo.

But, by and large, the Allies as individual races are much bigger assholes then the Horde.

For the Horde, you have the Orcs who were taken by the most sadistic and clever of evil beings, and turned into berserk killing machines by drinking the blood of a demon that they were told would make em stronger in battle. But they through off the control, Thrall kicked major ass, and now Thrall is trying to lead them to peace with everyone. Everything Thrall does is trying to make peace with the alliance, to the point where he gets kinda emo over it.

Trolls can be major douche bags, but theirs is a religious douchebaggery. Every so often they start worshipping some evil spirit or something that demands sacrifice, so they give it. Pretty dick, but if you leave them alone, they leave you alone... until they bring about whatever apocalypse their god is working towards. Even then, its the god they worship, not the trolls themselves.

Taurens are peaceful Cowmen. Seriously. Nicest race ever.

The Forsaken have every right to be angry dbags, but even then, the ones who DO the asshole things tend to get the shit kicked out of them by angry Human Kings. All in all they havent had enough time to actually be dicks, seeing as they, as a race, aren't very very young. And Sylvanas has a hot model, now, which is nice.

But the Alliance... Wow. Humans are dicks. They attempted to enslave the orcish race at one point. Many of them are massively racist (Who was the human commanding the armies around UC when Sylvanas took charge? That one of the nathrezim had mind controlled? Yeah, he was a dick), for no reason at all. They fucking form whole militant organizations to express their racism. Sure, the Orcs have their gladiatorial arena... And i can understand Varian being pissed off about that. But Humans? Ya caused most of your own problems.

Dwarves aren't as bad, and neither are gnomes. Sure, one third of the dwarf population decided to unearth Ragnaros in a bid for power, and caused massive problems that border on genocide, but hey? Trolls do the same shit all the time. And gnomes are like the Tauren of the alliance. They're just sorta there.

But Night Elves? Night Elves are the douchiest douches that ever walked azeroth. See their ENTIRE FUCKING HISTORY for details. From attracting Sargeras's attention to Azeroth, to making sure that Illidan became a bad guy... They pretty much painted a target, hug it over their back, bent over, and said 'Bet ya can't hit this!'

/end rant.

Tl;DR: Night Elves are Douches. And neither faction are more dick then the other... Either side will gank ya if they can.

The ganking is fairly expected, but Ysera is not pvp, so the problem wasn't getting attacked, it was dealing with the players stupidity and generally ignorant remarks that got on my nerves while trying out the alliance side.

As to the reason I picked Dranei while trying out alliance is I like their back story.

They are also a kind group like the Taurens. They're what's left of a race that was corrupted by the Burning Legion. When the rest of their kind would not listen to reason about what the Legion's offer would do to them, They exiled themselves, knowingly consigning themselves to an eternity of being hunted unless they manage to defeat the Burning Legion.

The main reason in my mind though that they should be on the Horde side, is with the rightous exile thing, they would feel guilty as a people for dragging the Orcs into their conflict. The Orcs were minding there business with there Shamanistic culture when the Burning Legion comes. Kiljaden tired of losing because all he would do is frontal assaults, corrupts the orcs to his will and manages to use them against the Dranei.
