I liked the idea alot. If the muse is dead, maybe use this time to focus on your other stories. Muses have an odd ability to revive themselves after a little time. I'm sure you'll be able to write more at a later date.

re: 007, with every post he/she/it makes, I feel more sure that 007 is a user by the name of Peter Kim. If you haven't heard of Mr. Kim, he(?) is an annoying user on FF.net and the Anime Addventure who has the tendency to not grasp the point of any given story/thread, and to make annoying and pointless suggestions phrased as imperatives - in other words, he(?) thinks up stupid ideas that have nothing in common with the story, and tells the story's author to do it his way.
The one- or two-line posts, the same bad habits, the pattern of never addressing any objections to his(?) "ideas"... it all fits.
Suggestions are always apreciated, and many of them are taken into account, but some people just don't get it, as long as their not the authors they can't demand what to be written in a fic. :sweat:

Assuming we're talking ryou as in the same sort of ryou that were used in Japan before, then Naruto's received approximately $9.5 billion.
How'd I get to this number? According to wikipedia, 1 ryou = 60 monmei silver. 1 monmei = 3.75 grams. Convert to oz., multiply by value of silver. Multiply by 60 to get value of 1 ryou, then multiply by the amount that Naruto's made thus far. Thus:
(3.75/28.349) * 10.77 * 60 * 111,000,000 = 9.488 billion

I'm not sure Mr. Double Zero Guy can claim the same...
True, we do go off topic a lot but as GH said we at least make sure to contribute something to the overall discussion, generally, and even if it's an off topic coversation it's usually something interesting and informative, or at least amusing, and as long as no one minds it shouldn't be to bad. Also, it keeps some of the life in the board, if we just had to stick exclusively to what the thread was about then people would feel way too constrained as to there posting rights and relative freedom of speech, so basically there needs to be a balance between on-topic-ness and relevancy, and I feel GH and I have, for the most part, maintained this balance, my problem with the Botmaster is that I do not feel that he has maintained this balance as we have.

Personally, I think that's a horrible idea. It'd clunk up the story and make it a pain in the ass to read.
Same reason why I despise Author's Notes in the middle of a chapter. They disrupt the reading, are annoying and generally make me want to stop reading.
Besides, exact amounts are useless. Just know it's an arbitrarily large sum. That's all...

That said, having a footnote AFTER the fic explaining the ryou/dollar conversion MIGHT be a decent idea. But I still say it's pointless. It's just a WTFOMGHUEG sum.
