Does anyone mind if I do a bit of marketing? I'm a(n imminent) beta tester for an indie game from my favorite small developer, and they just released a really funny promo video for their next game. It's a combination of Alpha Centauri and Sim City.

Not sure if it's my headphones or your mic, but there were a few painful audio hisses. Might need a pop filter. The only other thing that I'd note is that you might want to turn down game audio a tiny bit and turn your own mic up a tiny bit to make sure your voice always carries over the game audio.

Otherwise you were doing fairly well. The game will probably have a lot of slow moments, so you might want to research facts or info (relating to the game, the prequel/sequel, and/or what's going on in game) to talk about during lulls in action or when you're going to be messing with the menus.

What I'm currently using are my webcam and it's built in mic, so I can't use a pop filter unless I want it covering up the camera.

To record, I'm currently using Raptr, because it was free with my video card update. I don't know if the software can do that, but I'll look at that, and see if it'll work that way. If not, I'll do it in-game.

I'm trying to record my webcam and the game separately, and later edit them together, but I only have one monitor, so if something goes wrong with the webcam, I'm kinda screwed that way.

I think if I were the father in this situation I'd have to go to bat for my son here...IF he was being honest with me. The way I see it, we know he has an interest in art, and I've seen enough Liefield drawings that I'd rather my son study actual human anatomy and get it right over just making up what he thinks is accurate. I took an art class in college and we did live nudes at one point and there was nothing sexual about it. So I might catch hell from the wife but my son would be allowed to keep the computer in his room, and I will get him some anatomy books or access to medical sites so he can improve his art. That said I will monitor his access so he doesn't get into further trouble.

Honestly, if it were my son and he showed an interest in boobs, good for him.  I don't give a shit the reasoning, so long as he understands boobs aren't the whole girl and that his schoolwork comes first.

I don't want him to grow up to be some stupid boob-obsessed loser like most lecherous anime characters.  At the very least, he'll be a well-educated lecherous loser.
