Ok, first, IT'S WHITEAGLE!!!
CONJOINED "E"!!!

Second, seriously?
You were actually able to make heads and tails of my Caffeine and Amphetamine driven ramblings?

...Frack... it must have been better then I thought...

...Anywho... yeah.
Since Manga Canon would be extremely difficult to adapt into a Hollywood Film, it'd probably be for the best if the story didn't focus on 'Ichigo and friends' and was a 'stand alone piece'.
Setting the story in America would allow it to showcase "Soul Reapers" with various cultural backgrounds from across the world, thus making it a treat for us 'International' Bleach fans.
Using Yamamoto's founding of the "Shinigami Academy" and the exportation of his method around the world as an introduction; not only would the Film provide a link to Canon, but also some insight into the history of the Manga's story as well as a handy explanation as to why the English speaking cast is using the Japanese terminology.

So... thoughts?

Good luck with the lawsuits about how the movie is painting an incorrect picture of heaven, limbo and hell from all those extremist locales.
...Ok... on what legal grounds could these people sue on?

People sue other people in America for the pettiest and most idiotic things around. They could probably sue on grounds of it being religiously offensive to them, given that though its a fictional setting. Its painting that this is how hell, heaven and limbo works to the masses when it doesn't work that way in their interpretation from their version of the bible or what have you.

Separation of Church and State... hello?

Church and State aren't as separated as you think.

While that statement may be true for Congressmen, it still stands that you can't sue someone for reparations if they haven't actually injured you...

...So just drop the stupid "They'll SUE!!!" argument... the law doesn't work that way...

Um...no, you can. A lady sued McDonalds for millions of dollars because she wasn't paying attention to what she was doing and ended up spilling scalding hot coffee all over herself.

Who did the court vote in favor of? The lady and McDonalds had to shell out millions. Not only to the lady who sued them but also for having to label all their shit that "THIS IS HOT. HANDLE WITH CARE 'YOU STUPID FUCKS*'. IT MAY BURN YOU."

*underlying message; not actually said.

---

The matter of fact is that people do sue on a daily basis on the most incorrigible things in this country. Just because the court doesn't always vote in their favor, doesn't mean that it won't happen and doesn't mean that it won't damage the reputation of the person, product, or franchise due to the legal constitutions involved.

And I'm sorry I have to point this out... but yeah...
THAT CHICK GOT BURNED!!!

And getting Burned is an INJURY!!!
THUS, she had a case.
But, in regards to what you see at the movies...
Since you have to PAY to see them in the first place, you are making a conscious decision to see the movie, so...
IT'S YOUR OWN DAMNED FAULT IF YOU SAW IT!!!

Please, stop with your stupidity... it burns us...

I haven't seen a case for people suing the Isamic religion for having a different view of God and the afterlife.

Yeah... I really don't think Timewave gets that you simply can't sue someone for this...

...They could protest and boycott it... but you'll usually have that regardless.

More to the point, the courts like to stay as far away as they can from religious issues. They don't even like getting involved in church property disputes. Also, if Hellboy didn't have any trouble I seriously doubt this would.

Warner Brothers? If they get the rights, it could be good..or really bad.

Do you mean that there would be a chance of success that would be slightly more than zero?

Yeah, apparently Warner Bros has started in on it.

Of course they did so for Akira too, and we saw how that turned out.

I mean they took on the project and it has basically disappeared for all intents and purposes with nothing ever being released.

Then let us pray that this scripts' soul ether be cast into Developmental Hell...

...Or they at least come up with something bearable...

The only good idea would be the rights stay with a company that will never do anything with it.
