I would not for a story, but perhaps for a chapter. I'd welcome an update for Illicit Liasons, Payback, Ranma in a Pokegirl World, or Moonlight.

Due to a technicality, he also is classed be me as dead as a writer.

He is posting on his livejournal though.

I think the only story I'd kill for a new chapter of is Jason Wong's "Way of the Ninjitsu". That it remains unfinished is a giant, festering sore on Ranma 1/2 fanfiction as a whole.

There, Ranma met up with Ryoga, and became friends with Hotaru before she became a senshi. It was a really great fic, and had five long chapters that I recall, but never updated. Sounds like Sound Hearts by KaosQu. Not certain, but that's my best guess.

Well, quite a few fics that I wish were updated have already been posted, but off hand, I can think of a few.

For one, any of Otaku D-Man's fanfiction getting an update would be grand. However, considering he says he's quit writing, it's unlikely.

Ranmazoku [Ranma/Slayers/SM] is another one, although I recall Taro saying he wasn't planning on continuing it.

Man, this thread sort of makes me depressed. So many of these I know aren't going to get continued. ;_;

Millers is down to the last freakin` chapter too,he`s not a dead writer....but my guess is that ficcie is deceased.

I can agree on that one. Several of the ones mentioned here are approaching the half decade mark. While not impossible, updates would be next to 0 at that point.

It hasn't been updated in almost a year straight. (Nether has his livejournal, come to think of it...) I think he had some serious personal problems, tho'.

If I recall correctly, he is an attorney IRL, which can be a very demanding job at the best of times. Not really surprising that he doesn't get much writing time.

Don't have the link to it on this computer, but one awesome Naruto story I'd love to see updated would be 'Transition Anchor' The last chapter or so had the best written mass battle scene I've come across. Hasn't been updated in somethin like 4 years though, likely never will be again.

And yes, it is completely awesome.
