Naruto An idea in my head

Naruto and Anko are less than pleased weith their relation to Orochimaru and will remain fiercely loyal to Konoha. Actually the story will have your idea going in reverse in a way. Orochimaru will have sent Naruto scrolls with powerful and/or fobidden techniques for birthdays, holidays, etc. as he grew up. Generally, Anko would take the scroll, have it tested for anything dangerous like poisons and traps (she doesn't trust her father at all after the cursed seal mess), and then if it's safe (which strangely they all are, remember Snake-teme cares for Anko and Naruto in a weird way) she'll give it to Naruto to learn.

As for Kin, she'll be slightly different from canon (what little we saw of her, anyway). She was literally raised to be to Naruto what Kabuto is to Orochimaru, with some sex on the side if Naruto desires it. (Actually I don't see Kabuto resisting if Orochimaru wanted him that way so it might be a perfect analogy. I'm just writing Orochimaru as mostly asexual in this one so he never used Kabuto like that.) In canon she seemed to have regular team loyalty, or as much of it as a Sound nin could have. Here she'd happily gut her teammates if they threatened Naruto.

The divergence from any true canon stuff, meaning the story beginning will take place at the start of the second phase of the Chuunin exam when Naruto exclaims in shock that his Kaasan is the proctor.

I'm curious what Naruto is like before this point. You said that his personality will change into what it really is after seeing Orochimaru again, meaning he was the bumbling idiot he always was beforehand (if nothing canon changed). Here are a few thoughts.

Did he still steal the scroll, or did he learn that before? Was he acting like an idiot in order to get on a team with a higher level Genin? Did he live with Anko growing up (I assume yes, but it's good to know)? Did he use any of the moves he learned from Anko or Orochimaru before the Chuunin exams (e.g. against the Demon Brothers, Zabuza, Haku)? Is he bloodthirsty like his mother? Did he learn about the Kyuubi earlier on in life?

These are just a bunch of things that came to mind when you stated nothing changed before the Chuunin exams. I'm sure there are more issues, but I was curious how these would be handled.

Regardless, I'm really looking forward to seeing how it goes.

Yes, he acted like an idiot to hide how smart he really is. The idea that the most obviously talented ninja is the best one is ridiculous. It's the one you never see coming that should frighten you. He still took the scroll as in canon but he wasn't as helpless as he let on when confronted about it. Iruka understands that Naruto is better than he lets on, much like Shikamaru is, but figures he acts the way he does to get attention. The truth is Anko trained Naruto to act erratic and silly to make people underestimate him.

Yes he lived with Anko, but he still has his own place because that's where the council stuck him. They think Anko is unfit and didn't want her to tell Naruto that she was his mother or have any contact with him. She did it anyway and Sandaime blocked any of the potential backlash of those acts.

He didn't know about the Kyuubi until Mizuki shot his mouth off. Until then he thought people hated him for being related to Orochimaru through Anko (even though most people have no idea they're related.) Anko filled him in on the details Mizuki wasn't priveledged enough to have after he confronted her with the truth about the furball.

Until the Chuunin exams things progressed normally because Naruto was hiding who he was. When he lets it slip that Anko is his mother when she's revealed to be the second protor it's actually a major screw up on his part.

Most of that sounds really good to me. Two additional questions.

One, did Naruto steal the scroll because he failed? Did he mean to fail? I can imagine him wanting to end up dead last, but actually failing on purpose?

Two, will Naruto be pissed that Anko kept the Kyuubi secret from him? I know about the law, but given that it's her son, and how little respect she has for authority, I could see him wondering why she didn't.

Not to mention just who Orochimaru might use to bring the First and Second Hokage back to life (He did use Kin's and Zaku's corpses for that, btw). Meh, guess he can just use Dosu and Zaku, not like he'll ever be able to bring back that third.

Which is curious. If he manages to bring back the third casket (Fourth Hokage), I can see the 'Death God' getting uber pissed and 'releasing' the seal on Naruto. After all, the seal's only there because the Fourth paid for it with his very soul... hmmm

Hmm I can see a \few other things going here...

Naruto could also have been given the shaft by the accademy people since they do hate him. He learned Kage Bushin, a frelling kinjutsu in the course of a night with no outside help and not being abl to make a normal bushin and yet he was called dead last?

Heck the fic can start oiut as the series did with Naruto being chased by chunin or jonin , Iruka catches him. But that night at home Anko is pleased her son kept the idiots busy for so long.


Meeting Anko will be a real shocker for team 7 especially if AFTER Anko cuts him and such he exclaims Kaa-chan what the Hell are you doing???? trully a moment for Sasuke and Sakura to stare and sweatdrop.

As for Kins figure....for goodness sakes the girl can`t be older than 16...she could be wearing a sports bra for all we know oir has yet to hit her growth spurt tolook like her sister.

I can't seem to remember it, how did Kin die in the manga/anime I don't remember her fights in the chuunin exam, one teamate lost to Sasuke the other was blown apart by his own attack thanks to Shino's insects clonging the holes for his sound attack, but i can't remember Kin's.

Pretty sure everyone here has 'read' between the lines concerning Naruto's true potential.

Personally, I think he had been shat on through out most of his time in the Academy, by overly critical teachers and children all out to seemingly get him. His failure with the Bushin, however, I completely believe is the result of tightly backed chakra coils, an overabundance of said chakra, and his inability to use just the right amount to make the technique effective. It's like trying to fill a gas tank, you only need so much, but Naruto takes it out of porpotion - Fills the tank, then floods the gas station.

Also another thought, read it some where btw, would be the implication that Bushin is based entirely on self-image. The reason he can't make it work worth shit is because his own pyschological profile is meek, and stunted for growth.

My thought on that anyway.

And as for Kin, I guess it's Kishibaka's horrible way of drawing females in the cities, added on to her own lack luster personality presented, that makes her kinda 'blah' when it comes to getting people excited about her. Tayuya had more impressive features, cursed like a sailor, and was just awesome as all hell.

My only real bitch about Tayuya is the fact she, and the rest of the Sound 4 for that matter, wear ass-bows. Total turn off, that is.

Kin didn't actually die 'onscreen' as far as I know. The last you see of her is when Shikamaru beats her in the pre-lims. The next time you see her is after Sarutobi sucked out the First Hokage's soul, the fake Hokage's body broke apart, revealing Kin's corpse as the 'sacrifice' Orochimaru had used in order to perform that particular jutsu.

Zaku was in the body of the other Hokage, the second I believe. He didn't die on screen either, he got fucking raped by Shino's Kikkai bugs tho.

Dosu got killed, raped, and turned into a bloody little bitch by Garaa.

And thats that.

The same one that lost to Sasuke is also the one who lost to Shino. Didn't actually die exactly though from what I can tell. (Zaku)

Kin Lost to Shikamaru by a friggin head bonk on the wall. Didn't die, just knocked out.

How did Zaku lose to two seperate people during the Chuunin exams, was there a reason he got a second chance or is that another continuity error, or did he lose to one in the manga and the other in the anime.

Zaku first gotten his arms broken by Sasuke during the SECOND PART of the exams in both anime and manga (Forest of Death). The part where Shino fought Zaku was when there was still too many people for the third part. (Tower inside the Forest of Death)

Zaku 'lost' to Sasuke during the 2nd Exam in the forest of Death, when Sasuke woke up full of piss and vinegar (Cursed Seal) and fucked his arms up.

Then Zaku lost to Shino in the pre-lims.

Still, doesn't really matter. Both Zaku and Kin were killed off screen to act as 'puppets' for the First and Second Hokage's souls.

That was some random Leaf nin (probably on Orochimaru's payroll but one never knows) as best as I recall that was on Kabuto's team.

Before the first test, if I recall, Kabuto had the information that only one team from the Sound had entered.

Tayuya might not be gone, she just won't be Naruto's personal right hand. I could see Orochimaru offering her as a choice for an alliance by marriage to end hostilities with the Leaf after Tsunade takes over if a little thing like fixing his arms was a part of the deal. :evil:

I don't thin animating the fourth would affect the seal. Orochimaru's jutsu takes over and uses the body of the dead, I don't think it controlled a dead person's soul. If it does, he's way more powerful than Bakamoto ever intended.

Naruto still failed the exam, but not exactly on purpose, He was trying to place dead last or near dead last (maybe one spot highter to avoid Sasuke) but he overdid his underachieving. If the other instructors besides Iruka were being fair, and if Iruka was upset because he knew Naruto could do better if he tried, he might have passed anyway. Remeber, raised and trained by Anko or not, he's still a 13 year old kid. He makes mistakes.

He'll be upset about the Kyuubi, but he'd understand Anko's point of view about things. One she wanted to protect him from the burden of theat knowlege. Two telling him was an automatic death sentence (something few writers seem to acknowledge). Three, knowing the real reason he's mistreated wouldn't make his life any better than not knowing. The villagers would still mistreat him.

I will say he'll be more upset with his father for both cursing him with the Kyuubi and dying in the process, thus leaving Naruto and his mother alone, than he will be with Anko.

Of course the real fun of this fic will come after the encounter with Orochimaru in the Forest of Death. Let's just say he taunts his grandson's loyalties and blabs about his pedigree, ALL of his pedigree, in front of Naruto-kun's teammates.

Who here sees someone like Sakura keeping her fat mouth shut about Naruto being the Yondaime's son? Even if she only tells Ino it will be all over the village in days. That's when things will get fun. Assasination attempts, marriage proposals, fangirl attacks, suck-ups like the ones that bother Konohamaru, other villages demanding a marriage to Naruto to form an alliance, fangirl attacks, Hiashi trying to cement something with Hinata or Hanabi, attacking fangirls, Sasuke envy/angst, ...and did I mention the fangirls? Anko will be laughing herself stupid at some of the stuff this will cause even as she wants to gut Orochimaru and Sakura both for bringing it down on their heads.

The problem is that the Second Hokage's zombiepuppet specifically apologizes to the Third for the mess they caused when under Oro's control.

So yes, Oo can use the souls of the dead.

Which also means the one in the third casket CAN'T be the 4th. My money is on the Kazekage.

Heh. It's not just the apology, per say, I'm pretty sure it was explained that he could summon the souls of the dead - The Hokages even stated that while they didn't want to attack the 3rd, they had been summoned by Oro, and had no choice.

Then Oro sticks those Kunai into their skulls, bringing them fully back into the realm of the living, but turning them into little more then puppets.

And no, very much doubt Orochimaru would summon the Kazekage. The point of summoning the previous Hokages, aside from Orochimaru being a twisted little fuck, was the psychological effect against the Third. Both men were practically like fathers to the Third, and the 4th could almost be considered a son. I'm sure the awesome prowress of the Hokages came into the equation, but I'm also sure Orochimaru got off on the pain he was causing Sarutobi by making him fight those reanimated spirits.

I'd like to see what would of happened if the fourths spirit had been summoned - One pissed off Death God woulda been hilarious.

Anyway, Kin and Zaku were used as the sacrifices for jutsu to summon the spirits. Yare yare. No clue on the 4th's 'supposed' sacrifice, prolly a nameless grunt.
