It was made by Prophet. He's been drawing stuff like that for years.

There are apparently 98 Sokka-Azula fanfics on ff.net, so there might be few good ones.

Blood Silk and Steel is seriously AU for Sokka of course.
This writer also did Azula's Fangirl Crush, an example of a potently hilarious idea: Azula has a crush on the Blue Spirit.

Yes. Link to his WWOEC page can be found...well. Can't link to it outside the Lemon forum, I guess. But he's on WWOEC.

Also, as a new person in the Avatar fandom (I watched the serious over the course of 3 days about two weeks ago) I thought I'd bring up the idea that's been hinted at a few times in the last couple of pages: time loops.

I've been thinking about a few. There are several potential starting points, though really, it's time travel. You can pick pretty much any arbitrary date and make it work with some half-assed reasoning.

At the moment, I've just recently reread Fosfor's Reload, so my ideas on time looping are all somewhat...derivative. (But just imagine! Aang and Azula, stuck in infinite time loops because she did something bad to the Avatar Cycle by killing him.)

Anyone else have ideas along the lines of time looping?

Azula would be a good way to balance out Aang's seemingly unlimited power he'd have over everyone else after a loop or too. And Azula would eventually realise that as long as she's looping there's no reason to do anything but have fun. The interesting part would be her quest to have fun, and how people relate to it. Azula is not normal.

Please... no. Don't do this. Stop it with the loops. :headbanger: :headbanger: :headbanger:

Looping Azula and Aang could be interesting... especially if the end result was a fully realized Avatar and an Azula who's just bored with the conquest and destruction thing.

The trouble is that Aang would already be a "fully awakened/realized" Avatar by the end of the show.

Please just stop it with the loops.

How about one singular timeloop...that occurred because the heroes lost.

It's something that's been nibbling in my head for a while.

So, final Season, Zuko finally joins the Gaang, Aang faces the Father Lord...and looses. Sokka's airship slice doesn't work out, the razing of the earth kingdom goes as planned. The Avatar is reborn in the water tribes, Sokka, Toph and Suki die on the airships, I forget where Katara was.

And Zuko is captured and locked away in a deep hole somewhere.

Eventually, too soon perhaps, the Avatar dies, and is born again in the Earth Kingdom.

Water benders stop being born.

You see where this is going, I assume?

Zuko manages to outlive his father in his dank cell, they don't bother chaining him up anymore, he is a withered, boney, weak old man.

When the time for the Fire Nation Avatar comes again, the Avatar spirit hesitates.

It rages.

No elements are balance too. But...it doesn't want to die, it doesn't want the spirit realm to be sealed off. And it hates the fire nation. But the part of it that was Aang doesn't

The last fully realized Avatar was Aang, the last time the world had a hope for balance. Zuko is the last remaining person it knew in friendship. It's last link to the past.

Chibi!Zuko, with voices in his head, whispering rage and longing friendship, and old distrust and wariness.

He wants to be a great fire bender so his father will love him, and the voices help, but sometimes the angry voice...sometimes that one makes things go wrong.

He's supposed to be a fire bender, not...Not something his father hates. And he's not supposed to bleed from the ears and eyes when he bends--it must be because he's bad. He fears his bending a little.

Where this goes from here, I don't know.

Idea: The spirit world only contains spirits and not the dead. The only humans there are the avatar spirits. As you can immagine it's get pretty boring, most of the avatars just lie back and accept it, but some want to do miss the world and their friends. Aang with voices in his head!

Idea: The bending equivilent of Martial arts and crafts

Idea: Was watching Tenchi. What if, like Ryoko, Aang was mostly contious for most of his imprisonment, able to become a spirit, and imprinted on someone nearby, Katara.

Yet another idea (damn you muse, don't you know I'm on a schedule here!)

Canonically Azula beat Zuko in the agni kai to be Fire Lord. Okay, she did so by aiming her lightning at Katara, but fact is: she won.
And then Katara spanked her quite efficiently in single combat.
Now, granted, Azula had just fought a fairly extended duel, so she wasn't at her best. But Sozin's Comet was still in the sky, so she still had hugely overpowering firebending.
Now let's suppose that Zuko died from that lightning strike. Not at all implausible: it was intended to be lethal.
Iroh doesn't want the throne. Zuko's dead and none of Team Avatar want Azula as Fire Lord, even assuming she was coherent. But the alternative is civil war... unless someone of fearsome power were to exercise whatever trival claim (say, having beaten the previous Firelord within an inch of her life) they have with the full backing of the rest of the world.

All hail Firelord Katara.
I knew I'd seen something like that earlier, but I finally managed to find it.

I was looking at a description of Zui Quan (Drunken First) and I got to thinking that it sounds like it would make a good Waterbending style.

So, what do you guys think of the idea of Drunken Master Katara. I can think of three ways for her to learn it... first, she figures it out on her own after seeing a couple drunks fight and it just clicks. Second, she meets a drunkard Waterbending master on her way to the north pole. Third, there's a second master on the north pole who's seen as a drunken disgrace (abet a deadly effective one) by pretty much everyone, but unlike Pakku, he doesn't care who he trains as long as they have talent, willingness to learn, and money to pay into his booze budget.

That would be great. I particularly like the last possibility.

Weirdly enough I'd had a similar idea but with Sokka creating a waterbending style that resembles Drunken boxing but more through flailing around than actually looking drunk.

The idea was that the Moon and Ocean spirits control water bending and so Yui had given Sokka the ability to Waterbend as a reward for their time together, in essence becoming the Moon's chosen warrior as the avatar is supposed to be for the spirit world as a whole. Unfortunately Sokka doesn't know a thing about and ends up being pretty clumsy and hopeless at it at first.

The other idea was that he gained an instinctive understanding of the principles 'push' and 'pull' the two main aspects of waterbending without actually being able to bend, knowing just when and how to push or pull his own or others weight to achieve the desired end.

This idea came to me a few minutes ago. An Earth Kingdom-born Avatar is horribly afraid of heights and so is highly reluctant to go to the Air Temples to learn Airbending at all. The fact that it's his (or her) opposite element just makes the temptation to skip it entirely even greater.

Here's a possible background for Drunken Waterbending

2000 years ago there was an Earth Kingdom Avatar named Cho... he liked to party. I mean, really liked to party. Problem was when drunk he couldn't make proper use of his formitable bending powers when sloshed so one time assasans came for him when he was partying. Needless to say he showed them why he was the fucking avatar and created a powerful new Waterbending style on the spot that not only could be used while drunk, but was actually MOST effective when drunk.

And idea I've been mulling over:

Let's say the war didn't go exactly as planned for the Fire Nation. Their attack on the Air Nomads was succcessful as in Canon, but the casulties hindered their campaign in the Earth Kingdom, causing the front to stablise around the coastal areas and deep in the desert where allied sandbender tribes operate. The increasing cost and failures on that front cause them to quietly shelf their campaigns against the Water Tribes as unnecessary for the moment, leaving the Tribes much more powerful and populated. (Basically the Second CHinese-Japanese war with the Soviets being the Water Tribes.)

This is just the basis for an AU where Aang comes in, but still...

Ya know, I had a strange idea. What would happen if you switch Azula and Toph? Instead of a blind earth bender you have a blind firebending little sister for Zuko.

I wonder how wrong that would get.

I don't think it would work as well... The main reason that Toph was really able to get around without help was that she was able to 'see' with her earthbending... Also her lack of sight is one of the things that made her so powerful.. She could 'see' things that other people couldn't and that lead to her being a stronger earthbender like when she bent metal... Take that away and you lose one of the things that made Toph Toph...

*Shrugs* Dont see why similar principals couldn't be applied to firebending honestly.

Well... maybe able to sense the "inner fire" of people, like their spirit, or more literally, their core body temperature?
