Ok, that's enough of the silliness guys, calm down. ^.^
Here's the next snippet! Enjoy!

Buzz.
Naruto could never blank his mind like most shinobi, but he could reduce the wild, crisscrossing thoughts in the chaos of his mind to a nice, soothing buzz.
He needed the buzz, he figured, as he walked through the gates of a village supposedly called Konohagakure no Sato. He remembered Konoha, though.
This wasn't his Konoha.
He was just fine with that. This wasn't Konoha, it was just some random village he was stopping at for a bit on his way through the world.
So he stuck his hands in his pockets and ambled along, heading roughly towards the center of the village. The head offices for any village was always at the center.
He supposed he had a meeting with the 'mayor' of this town.
So he kept ambling along, taking his time. If there was one thing he had learned in life, it was that there was a time to take things slow, and it was most of the time. The journey really was just as important as the destination, after all.
He had learned that quite well, trying to find a hobby to catch his interest. Sure, he could use shadow clones and learn dozens of hobbies in a day, or he could just enjoy himself and learn them himself one by one.
And not run out of potential hobbies to try in a week.
He looked around a little bit as he slowly walked through the village. He was still around the outskirts of the village, near the training grounds. He saw plenty of ninja honing their craft.
He carefully ignored them.
Then he saw- Oh. That was interesting.
Naruto cocked his head, raising a hand to shield his eyes from the sunlight as he watched the teenagers play. Right now they were just running ball handling drills, keeping the ball in the air with their heads, shoulders, knees, and feet.
He had heard of football, of course, even played it a few times. He hadn't realized it was already played in ninja villages already, especially not as far away as Konoha.
So he walked over. Tsunade had never actually set when he was to report in, after all.
"Mind if I join in?"
-----------------------
Tsunade listened with half an ear as she debriefed the chuunin squad leader in front of her. It wasn't that the information wasn't important- Lord Hofuna was a valuable partner of Konoha thanks to the excellent rates on rice he exclusively gave to the village, and his safety and everything related to it was a priority.
However, Naruto would be coming back today. It had been years since she- or anyone else from Konoha- had seen him, and truth be told she was just a little excited and a touch impatient to see him again, and she had been wondering how he had changed over the years.
She snapped back to attention as the red-haired chuunin in her office started wrapping up her report.
"Once he was safely within the gates, we turned him over to his head of security and we were dismissed. He mentioned at the end that we would likely be hiring a team for extra protection detail later, as well."
"Thank you, Tatsumaki-san, I'll set aside a genin team to be assigned to it. Is there anything else?"
Tatsumaki shifted on her feet, her long ponytail swaying a little bit. She opened her mouth and the door followed.
In walked one Uzumaki Naruto, his dark jacket slung over his shoulder and his collar unbuttoned.
Tatsumaki looked back at him as Tsunade put her face in his hands.
"Naruto, I'm in the middle of debriefing someone."
Naruto swept his hair from his eyes, taking the time to also wipe his glistening forehead. "I see that." He started rolling his sleeves. "Don't let me stop you."
He then leaned against the wall, hands in his pockets, giving them an expectant look.
Tsunade pinched her nose as Tatsumaki looked at the man in disbelief. "Naruto, I have guards so this doesn't happen."
"You do." was the deadpan response.
Tsunade counted to three. "Then why are you here?"
"You ordered me here."
Tsunade ground her teeth.
"No, Hokage-sama. There was nothing else of interest to report in the mission. By your leave?" Tatsumaki cut in.
"Chuunin Akatoki Tatsumaki, your final remarks for the C-rank escort mission of Lord Hofuna Shiri have been noted. You are dismissed."
Tatsumaki bowed and, with one last look lingering look at Naruto, walked out of the room, her ponytail swishing behind her.
"You're an impudent little shit, you know that Naruto?"
He pushed off the wall, smiling slightly. "So I've heard." His smile dropped. "Uzumaki Naruto... reporting in."
Tsunade managed to keep the grimace off her face at how disdainfully he finished.
"Alright Naruto, here are the files on your team." she said as she handed him three manilla envelopes. She then grabbed a scroll off her desk.
"This scroll is given to all prospective Jounin-senseis. It includes basic rules you need to follow, meetings, when the senseis pick up their team, and a generic syllabus, as well as required teacing. Any questions?"
"No." he replied. She could tell he would rather push the scroll back to her, but took it anyway and stuffed it in the breast pocket of his button-down shirt.
It looked ridiculous.
"Excellent question Naruto, your team is comprised of-"
"Names rattled off mean nothing." he interupted.
Tsunade glared. "You had better read the reports then."
Naruto raised one shoulder in a shrug. "By your leave."
Tsunade paused a long moment, closing her eyes tightly. This is what had become of Naruto? "Just get out."
He walked out without a word.

EDIT: No longer relevant, but here it is for posterity ^^
I'm cutting it off here, because I need help with names for the three students.
A friend named the chuunin for me, but I don't know how to go about naming the three students. Help?
I hope you enjoyed the snippet ^.^
