You know, maybe some of us here do not like this fic, but I really like it. But now, because of Kishibaka's h4xing of Sharingan, it is now ABANDONED. The fic as SerpentSannin's Puppet Master Naruto. This is I copied from his FF.Net account :

Final Puppet Master Naruto Announcement:

Cliche beginning, not betad, and my extreme dislike for the Naruto manga destroyed any wishes for me to continue this fic. The secnond Sasuke got all of the Mangekyou's abilities (including the overpowered Susanoo) just by being tapped on the forehead absolutely destroyed this series for me. Don't email me or message me about it, you'll just be ignored. I don't care if you think that fanfic exists despite crappy canon developments - one must be a fan for there to be a fic, i guess. And i no longer am.
:blue: :blue: :blue:

There goes my Favorite Anko/Naruto matchup fanfic.

Well crap.

I just gave a review (name's Vassago-Toxicity) asking if it's up for adoption if he has a general outline, or if he's just going to completely delete it.

I'll post the reply as soon as I get it.

Well, there goes my respect for that author. Of course as I had no respect for him it doesn't really matter. But it's the thought that counts.

Because we all know that you should write a fic no matter what your personal preferences are. <_<

Nobody's making money out of fanfics, he did it because he liked the series, why should he write for it when the manga turned out like it did?

*In regards to the fic I can't say it was on my 'To read' list.

Well, have to say no huge loss. The fic was... bad.

Not to sound unsympathetic....but good riddance I say.

It was a lame fic by an even lamer whiner from the looks of it.

BTW: Shouldn't this whining be in the Naruto section?

Yeah, because Sasuke having a one-eye mangekyou that auto-fires at the sight of Madara's face and hurts him like hell means that he has all of the mangekyou abilities that he can suddenly use and become the most powerful being ever.

<_< Yay for nerd-rage.

Fanfiction = Fan + Fiction.

Now remove the Fan part from the equation and see the result. If the series does nothing for you as a fan, then why bother?

I just love how you are all whining and moaning. It's like you think it's your God-given right to see fics completed, no matter what, even if the author simply no longer has the drive and motivation to write them because he's started hating the series.

Reember, a fanfic can only exist if there's a FAN in the first place. This guy just plain stopped being a fan, so why should he write for a series he hates?

It's like a bunch of people demanding you to write a yaoi fic. Think about how you would feel if someone asked you to write such a thing, and offered NOTHING in return.

TFF is becoming more and more like a bunch of elitists, lately. This isn't the same forum I joined so long ago anymore.

Wow, that is pretty harsh - changing times? The influx of more members? There is truth as there is a whole thread or two about it.... Do you think there will be a limit or will it end up like some people's opinion of the "Dark Lord Potter" forum?

I'll admit I was harsh there, but the forum's quality HAS been steadily degrading over time. The kind of attitude some posters showed in this thread is part of the problem, and it doesn't seem to be about to go away anytime soon.

It's not all the n00bs' fault either. There's some longtime users who have been less than helpful in that sense.

Just sayin'...

I'll still stick around since this forum still beats places like Gaia Online, but I'm not liking what I see.

In all honesty GH, I can't see what you are talking about there. Zeebee was the only one who expressed anything other than sadness at the fic's ending or pure indifference, and he's always like that as far as I can tell.

And if you equate expressing a little sadness at something you enjoy going away with whining and moaning, you have a VERY generous definition of what constitutes whining.

It's not just zeebee, as you can see. Apparently, if someone dislikes a pile of crap (and make no mistake, the vast majority of TFF agrees that's just what Naruto is nowadays, crap), they automatically become whiners or are in a state of nerdrage... <_<

Personally, I'm amazed he tolerated it until now, and am not surprised he got fed up with the series. :huh.:

EDIT: At any rate, that's just how I see it, but I do know that a couple other old-timers share my distaste for how TFF is turning out...

Alright, true, it wasn't just indifference. But your first post did imply that most people were complaining that he was quitting the story, when few people actually were.

It's like you think it's your God-given right to see fics completed, no matter what, even if the author simply no longer has the drive and motivation to write them because he's started hating the series.
There were two responses, tops, that seemed like they fit the quote. It just felt like you were generalizing a bit too much.

As for the elitist comment, you mean that the responses tended to be more "Meh, fic sucked anyway" and less "Well, it's his choice really"?

GenocideHeart: Damn, I knew my senses were right when they told me to post a response to your first post about people whining and complaining. However, I chose not to in the hope that it wasn't, and that you didn't get the wrong impression from my post. I guess I should have listened to my senses. XD

I wasn't whining or complaining at all, I was just attempting to respond to the first post, and the rather humorous reasons for getting angry at the Naruto series itself. The entire thing sounded rather like jumping the gun and all.

I used <_< when I probably should have used

I've never read the story, and I have no clue on anything about it. I just found the reasons for quitting to be amusing, and that's what I ATTEMPTED to post. However, my post ended up coming out as rather confusing and not very clear.

Because honestly, what has happened recently in the Naruto manga has amused me, and peoples' reactions to what has happened amuses me as well. Not in a 'great big bad' way, but more of an amusement to a 'they're jumping the gun too quick' way.

And... I have no clue if that really made sense at all.

That second post you quoted GH, the one from Usagi, sounded more like it was about him jumping the gun, more than him quiting.

EDIT:Didn't see Usagi's second post.

GH, I'm not turning into an elitist. I've always been one so there's no conversion for me. I had no respect for him as an author because he didn't write anything that wasn't painful for me to read. And I don't like what he did for a different reason. I can understand your reasoning, but I can't respect his running away because of what happened in the series. And frankly I wasn't sad to see you leave because you are theoretically writing for other series.

I understand your point and I respect your opinion, but I must say that I disagree with you completely.

Why write fanfiction for a series he hates? Exactly for that reason.

It's nothing like someone asking us to write about yaoi because we never liked yaoi in the first place.

I hate Part 2. I loathe it with every fiber of my body. It is the worst official piece of fiction I have ever read. Ever. The only thing that comes close to my hatred of Part 2 is my hatred of Sasuke. His personality, his use as a plot device, I hate everything about him.

But enough about that.

My hatred of part 2 in no way diminishes what I loved about Part 1.

I don't like anything about Part 2 so I don't use any of it.

My disappointment with authors quitting fandoms because of new developments comes from the fact that they don't understand fanfiction. As a fellow author, I feel like they've missed the point.

I am a fanfiction author. I write because I am not fully satisfied with the source material alone. If I were then I wouldn't write fanfiction, because that would be redundant. The fact that I hate part 2 doesn't give me less reasons to write, it gives me more.

But then again, most writers don't have the imagination needed to substantially deviate from the source material. They usually change one or two things and keep everything else intact. It makes sense that they would stop writing for a series if they couldn't stomach what they would normally copy from the source material.

But since I never read a word he's written, I'll refrain from making snap judgments. Well, any more snap judgments. I feel I've insinuated enough.

And please forgive the newest members of the forum (I wonder who qualifies as old timers?). They just lack discretion and subtlety. It'll come to them eventually. Don't forget that the vast majority of members are lurkers. They're usually the ones with interesting things to say. You just have to draw their interest.

Now, I have to wake up at 4am tomorrow, so I'll go to bed. Have a nice night.

I made a delicious stew. A bird shit in my delicious stew. Suddenly my delicious stew isn't so delicious, because there's bird shit floating in it. It was delicious, sure, but now there's bird shit in it and I've lost my appetite and I don't feel like making delicious stew anymore.

Eh, I am an elitist bastard? Sweet!

Anyway, eh, I understand to a point as to why he stopped writing, but I never read his works so I can't really tell if I am happy or sad, all I can say, is that hopefully he might write again, and improve that (given that the general opinion is that his writing isn't that great).

So really, it was his own decision for his own reasons and I will respect them.

Well, let's say it isn't just stew, it's Columbian shellfish stew, which is white and lumpy. And once that bird shat in your delicious stew, you can't help but realize that the stew looks an awful lot like bird shit, and you'll never be able to see a bowl of Columbian shellfish stew again without remembering that bird shit. :sisi:
