So... nu!Supes is going with the Kingdom Come look for his shield, with a Pre-nu!52 Superboy 'costume'.

Neat.

...

He looks like a frat boy! Or someone who's trying to recapture their frat boy days!

Ghostface

Lazy Bastard...
I'm willing to give it a shot since Greg Pak's been doing some good work with Superman so far.

Edit: Not sure how I feel about the world knowing Clark and Superman are one and the same after Convergence however...

Hey, it worked out great for Peter Parker! Just look how well he's doing with MJ today!

...

Welp, now I'm sad...

Some more costume changes:

No issues with these alterations, and nothing storywise seems to be an issue.

From IGN:

In Green Lantern #40, Hal Jordan ditched his ring and stole the prototype Green Lantern gauntlet and power pack from the armory and went rogue, all in a ruse to clear the name of the Green Lantern Corps and take all the blame for their wrongdoings himself. The new hooded jacket and long hair certainly gives him the "renegade" look they're going for.

Green Arrrow looks like Hawkeye on St Patrick's Day.

So...
Clark is now Adult!Connor
Batman is Robot!The Tick
And Hal ditched the Power Ring for a Power Glove(is Simon going to get a Zapper?)

...is it wrong that I think it's weird that the new Power Girl wasn't very promoted in news sites after the initial statement?

From IGN:

After weeks of teasing new series, new directions, and new costumes for their heroes, DC released their full lineup of solicitations for June 2015 this week. The publisher has a big relaunch planned for that month, with a lot of new titles dropping and new creative teams for some of the books that are sticking around.
A few that stood out to me:

The Omega Men are back in an all-new series! They’ve murdered White Lantern Kyle Rayner and now, the universe wants them to pay! Who are these intergalactic criminals – and is there more to their actions than meets the eye?
My thoughts: The Silver age fanboys are giving a series to the guys who pulled the trigger on Kyle.....why am I not surprised.

These brothers in arms face off against incredible odds while burning their way through the underbelly of the DC Universe – and it’s only a matter of time until they get gunned down in return!
My thoughts: Starfire is out of Lobdell's hands....so I have nothing against this series in principle.

The son of a Bat and a Demon, Damian al Ghul has set out to forge his own destiny – and atone for the shameful Year of Blood! Will he be aided or hindered by the behemoth Goliath? And what mysterious legacy trails behind him? Join writer/artist Patrick Gleason as he chronicles the globe-hopping adventures of ROBIN: SON OF BATMAN!
My Thoughts: So they took away his super powers right?

Spinning out of the pages of BATMAN! The teenagers of Gotham City have adopted the “R” and made it their own. A new Robin? No, HUNDREDS of new Robins! Don’t miss the start of this new series from rising star writer Lee Bermejo (JOKER, SUICIDERS), who also provides the covers!
My Thoughts: I am...curious about this one. I love the front cover and really want to see where they are going with this.

Beginning a titanic new arc: “God Killer”! Slade is armed by Hephaestus to take down one of the Olympian Gods! If any man is bold enough to believe he can murder a god – it’s Deathstroke!
My Thoughts: Huh....this actually has my attention....I mean Deathstroke playing a modern day Kratos...could be fun.

On the run with Superboy, the Titans must uncover the truth behind the Boy of Steel’s crimes – or they all might end up serving time with their former teammate.
My Thoughts: Who are these guys and what have they done with the Titans?

Oh, that reminds me. Seems like nobody brought up the whole "CHANGETHECOVER" situation yet...

An upcoming Batgirl variant cover was a send-up to The Killing Joke where Batgirl was tied up, a little tearful and scared, while the Joker threatened her with a gun. Twitter/Tumblr lost it and started complaining so DC canned it. Apparently the artist had decided on his own to do the send-up and didn't ask for opinions until it was done.

Any thoughts?

The way they split was kinda weird too. I'm not quite sure why Starfire trusted Crux there... Meh, at least the ending was decent in general if terribly rushed feeling. Stupid convergence.

I was quite happy though that Blackfire remains not evil. I actually like her New 52 self WAYYY more than her old self. Old self was your garden variety ambitious evil queen type. New 52 she actually still loves Starfire and the only reason she's ever done bad stuff to her was because she saw it as necessary to aide Tamaran. To the point that she willingly betrayed Helspont, i.e. Evil!Wildstorm!Daemonite!Martian Manhunter.

Wait....what?

Helspont as he was originally introduced lo these many years ago in Wildstorm (I'm talking original 1990s Wildstorm here), was a Daemonite, a race of body-snatchers that possessed other bodies. His classic look, the blue flaming demon looking thing, is because he is possessing an Acurian. This gave him basically all of the Martian Manhunter's powers, Mental AND flying brick. There were parallels drawn to Mr. Majestic back in the day even. Granted they were more about Helspont being one of the few characters who was his physical equal, but still.

Thus, by some lights, Helspont is Evil!Daemonite!Martian Manhunter!

I don't know WHY they would trip over that to begin with, considering that IS a very traumatic event for Barbara Gordon that remained relevant. When she was KO'd and taken in by The Movement for purpose of learning her secret identity and using it as leverage against her, the first thing that came to mind was that she was shot by the Joker again and that entire thing was about to repeat itself. By the time she calmed herself down and realized that wasn't happening, she had already took out nearly all of the Movement. Also, she had to personally deal with the Joker at least two other times in much more horrific positions -- one where the Joker wanted to make her his bride, Boxing Helena style, and the other when Joker captured the major players of the Bat Family but Batman and had them convinced that he had carved off their faces, much like his own, by serving them up to them chilled on ice.

So, yeah, I don't see much point of that bit of OMGTAKEITOUT She still has all of her clothes on, what's the fuss? Because she's tied up? The tears? Give me a break, and stop being such a wuss!

Rape implications. Implying the Joker would rape her. Because that's a thing, you know.
Forcibly injecting political agenda to comics never ends well. I had hoped that DC would've managed to learn from mistakes Marvel made, but apparently they are doomed to repeat them. Marvel had to can Ms. Marvel featuring Carol after they tried to completely retcon her past in pants-on-head retarded fashion and turn her into some butch feminist icon. Sales unsurprisingly tanked like Titanic. Now Marvel is cancelling ~30 titles for duration of Secret Wars but most won't probably return thanks to plummeting sales.

How long until Poison Ivy in her new burkha made of plants & polyamorous demiqueer otherkin Barbara (and their headmates) team up to fight the all-powerful Patriarchy in the name of social justice?:p

I thought the new Ms. Marvel (Kamal) and the female Thor were selling well....

Female Thor is a whole can of worms. I wouldn't be surprised right now if part of why it sells is people wanting to see how stupid it gets.

Actually a fair number of them, including Thor, are just getting different names for the Secret Wars run. There's no break in between them, just a rebranding. Out of the 24 titles ending I think it's around a third or so that are still going to continue.

Train wreck crowd are part of readers for sure, but as that comic seems to be resorting to recycling internet memes in addition to political soapboxing and horrible art I'm not sure if tumblrite cash is enough to keep it afloat.

33 are ending according to that article, not 24.

From that article:

Here's a list of the 33 canceled titles -- but keep in mind that some of these will return in some form or another once Secret Wars was wrapped.

I thought that cover was very horrifying - an element I love associated with the Joker. Points to her for just being in tears.

I'd probably have been a brain-damaged wreck.
