Tiger Lilies
A human lifepsan is an adventure, but much like the adventures in the digital world, they end. What becomes of a digimon left behind?
Complete. Everyone I've shown this to agree's it's amazing, and Ryuugi said it was the best Digimon fic he's read this year (not that that's stiff competition.), but word of warning.
It will bring the feels.
On a not as good, but less depressing note.
The Teacher of All Things
That time in summer camp wasn't the first time Tai went to the Digital World. How different would things be if a more experienced and jaded Tai was sucked into the Digital World?
This turned out much better then I was expecting (Was worried it would be a: Taichi does everything and no one else matters fic. And then everyone was awesome.), and I like that he's going to use Daisuke's Development from the crossover, but I'm having trouble figuring out how he's going to get the 02 kids to measure up.
It helps that he held off on Takeru and Hikari's Ultimates, opens possibilities.
Though I'm really annoyed he transferred dub names over to V-Tamer, which never used them, as it was fan translated.
Salva Nos
In the year 2000, something went wrong and changed history as we know it. 15 years later, Takeru and Daisuke must search for a way to fix things.
This has, after years of hiatus, started updating again, now with Savers characters. It's been so long I myself need to reread it at some point.
Word of warning what I remember of it is really grim and sad, but it's ultimately a story of hope. In more then one way.
Phantom Typewriter's Digital Hazard series is a retelling of 01 and 02 where things went VERY VERY WRONG on file island, and everyone got fucked over because of it, it's rather dark, and I dislike using Takeru the way he was, along with a few of the world building portions which irk me, but otherwise, given it's competition, it's great.
Also, he took away digimon reformatting, so keep that in mind.
The Bee and its Stinger
A speeding car crashes into a pole. An innocent bystander who should have died is spared. Two brothers reconcile - but while that unhappy story looks happier, the Dark Seed is still planted and an evil force is still looking for a way back. That window of opportunity has closed - and so he'll smash a hole through the wall instead.
Osamu survives, and everything get's fucked over. Is complete and has a sequel currently being written.
Fly on a wall
In the past months, I've added a lot of Digimon fics to my Fav's list that I've had an above average opinion on, a few grated in a few ways, but so far not badly enough I've removed them, I tried to clean out some of the stuff I didn't like anymore out of it, but if anyone wants to browse it,
AarikWrath.
Tentatively give a go for Binary and Dreaming to Reality, in this post I tried to only rec things that were complete or still being written for decently recently.
