Maybe I'm being optimistic, but I'm smelling an actual climax coming...

I'm a bit hesitant to agree; Ozai is not the Big Bad in this story after all -- he's ultimately a very dangerous tool of the Face-Stealer, and it will take something incredible to deal with him, but he's only a very bad product of the bigger problems.

But yes, foiling his misuse of the Comet is undoubtedly very important.

Well, it's possible that the Face-Stealer will be present to revel in his victory, allowing Aang to deliver an Avatar-state fuelled beatdown/chastisement on him.

I know it's been a long time coming, but it is still jarring to see everyone and their brother basically screaming at Iroh about the mistake he is making... only to have Iroh plow on ahead, regardless.

It'll be an interesting spectacle to watch, when that finally blows up in Iroh's face.

Finally read the whole thing. Now, I got a question. IS Iroh seriously expecting Zuko to drop everything on Dragon's WIngs, go to the North Pole, face off his father and kill him? When Iroh himself won't do it? With the pathetic excuse that Sozin is his brother and that Sozin's line caused untold damage to the world (which is true) despite the fact that he himself is part of said line and caused just as much damage but is foisting it off on Zuko?

That was an extremely satisfying chapter actually. After so much time of people telling Aang there was no choice but to fight, and people berating him for pacifism, he actually is vindicated by defeating Koh without fighting him.
