However, in Edit Options I did find out that there is an option for you to be alerted when you get a PM. I enabled that, so can someone send me something for me to test it out? I want to see how visible the alert is.

I'll keep looking for the tag option.

OK, so that worked. Do @[ username ] (no spaces) and you have to have the capitalization right. it'll turn into a link, apparently, if you do it right.

OK, so, the tagging options seem not to show up in Default Light. However, by default it seems to be on. Someone tag me as a test.

I did indeed get tagged, which the option for is only under Fallback.

It sends a PM from the tagger with a link to the thread/post inquestion.

Okay, so looks like we have the function worked out.

Tagging is on by default in Default Light, and has to be turned on in Fallback.

In addition, in the user CP under options, you can turn on PM alerts for general PMs. I don't know if this has to be turned on for the Tagging alerts to work, but I would assume it does.

The PM alerts thing is just the little box that says "You have a private message!" at the top of the screen. You don't need it for tagging to work.

I know that, but how would you know you got tagged if you didn't get alerted? Otherwise the tag would just sit in the PM box until you opened it eventually. Either way, I see no reason not to enable PM alerts. its useful.


Also, I noticed that the moderation forum in now up. Does that mean we're going to start nominations soon? Or am I somehow late to that party?

And yes, we're discussing how we're gonna run nominations in another thread in Suggestions- I need ideas to make sure it goes as smoothly as it can.
