some of the ads they allow on the site have trojan scripts, usually they'll get taken off after enough complaints but they reappear pretty often. Either Way as people have noted in other threads the no script and no ad addons for firefox do wonders with stopping that crap.

Just to expand on an idea and correct the secrecy of magic thing, why not have Sakura from CCS be just a regular girl from class? Throw in a Pactio and she gets the book and wand. Much like Nodoka's artifact shows, the weapons can be improved through training. Start her off with some moderately weak cards, and as she increases her proficiency she gets more.
To throw my own idea in, Louise from Zero No Tsukaima. Could probably be trained by Albireo, considering his particular brand of magic.
Not a girl, but Hachibe from Ai Kora would make a good teaching aide. Especially when he tries teaching Negi the glory of Parts Love! Could make good comic relief, if nothing else.

Canaan. Also, she's staying with Mana at the temple. When Siam dies, somehow she ends up at Mahora, where she promptly has bad flashbacks of Alphard when she sees Mana. An explosive meeting on Canaan's side, to say the least.
On Mana's side, as the expert gunner on campus, she's tasked with keeping Canaan out of trouble and to prevent any unfortunate incidents as Canaan tends to go for her gun first in situations (think: Canaan channeling Sousuke).

Xian Coy Manh: Karma from the New Mutants.
Danielle Moonstar: Mirage from the New Mutants.
Rahne Sinclair: Wolfsbane from the New Mutants
Illyana Rasputin: Magik from the New Mutants
Amara: Magma from the New Mutants

I could imagine Negi freaking out like Xian Coy Manh did since underneath his boyscout genius facade I reckon he's still the frightened young boy suffering from survivor's guilt and post-traumatic stress disorder as well as having a lot of anger and hate against those responsible for the village attack.
He's a lot like Magik who got trained in black magic by sinister figures like Belasco and suffered because of it and that she aged up in Belasco's dimension turning her from kid to teenager.
